Prussia started out as crusader state in the baltics after the kingdom of Jerusalem was lost and the Kingdom of Poland needed backup while fighting the Mongols. With the crusades still ongoing in Trench Crusade that would never happend.
To be correct, Konrad I invited the Teutonic Knights to help with the original Prussians, who were pagans, also Poland back then was fractured between several rulers.
And the only real reason they left for the baltics was because they saw the Templar get absolutely obliterated by the French king and the pope so they left for someplace less inclined to legally annihilate them.
I’m curious if they’ll expand a bit more for the Iron Sultanate subfactions as well. The lion’s share of variety is seemingly going to New Antioch, and there definitely can be room for filling out more of the other factions. Maybe a Mameluke, Malian or even a Córdoba subfaction, showing how the various sects of the Islamic World adapted to the war with Hell.
We need a detailed map of Europe with all the nations, because it seems many wars that IRL happened in Europe did not happen in Trench Crusade (with nations being far more united with the threat of hell at their doorsteps). Take Prussia for example. We know for it to exist Teutonic knights had to be kicked out of Hungary and then invited by Poles to fight OG pagan Prussians. If Prussians still trace their roots to the Teutonic order then maybe Duchy of Prussia was never formed and the Trench Crusade Prussia became what it is in a totally different way. We also know that Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth exists in 1914 (it was conquered by Prussia, Russia and Austria in late 18th century IRL) which points out to 1400-1900 being far more peaceful in Europe than IRL. The very existence of the Commonwealth is also interesting, it formed when christian Poles and pagan Lithuanians allied against the Teutonic Order, Duke of Lithuania got christened, married the king of Poland (official polish title, kinda funny thing, "queen" in polish originally only referred to a wife of the king, so a female ruler was still called a king), became the king himself and what would later become the commonwealth was formed. So either the war between Teutons and Poles and Lithuanians happened in the lore for some reason (again, Europe seems to be far more united in lore) or the Commonwealth was formed against some other threat. Which leads to another question about the region, what's the state of Russia in 1914? If it was overrun by hell somewhere around the time either Teutons were invited to Prussia or the Commonwealth was formed then that might be the major branch-off point for the region from the IRL history
Oh no... I was hard working at writing a lore proposal for Trench Crusade which was already eleven pages long. Prussia would have never formed in history without the Teutonic Order, which is why their colours historically are black and white. Yellow and black are often associated with the Holy Roman Empire. It was the Teutonic Order which christianised the Prussians (who weren't german originally) and most of North-Eastern Europe during the Norhtern Crusades. I thought it would have been cool if they would have survived as a Monastic Military State until 1914 and had a Union with the Novgorod Republic, Lithuanian Principality and Polish Nobles to form a Confederacy called "the Commonwealth". Oh man... nonetheless, the video is cool...

To be fair, divine intervention is still at work on the Earth. Saintly Relics, Stigmatic Nuns, Anchorites, etc. But if it’s to be believed, neither Heaven nor Hell can approach the mortal plane directly due to treaty. That’s why Hell fights its war through proxies, half demons, humans, lesser fallen, etc, because to do so with the higher ranked Fallen Angels would trigger full scale war with Heaven.
Well apparently its just vast, vast overkill for god to be involved. The demons of hell, with all their power, are a mere shell of a shell of their former strength, and any actual angel sent out to battle them kinda ends up with both sides of the battlefield reduced to ashes. If GOD were to take the field and intervene probably would be an apocalyptic level threat. And he does help through miracles, faith strength and the meta-christ stuff. The warp does not exist here, so like, any faith based Miracles of strength are actually from god here.

@ do you see me complaining buddy?
So God clearly doesn't care about humanity here, so why the faith? I guess its the same as 40k, but the Emperor has had 10,000 years if indoctrination.
What makes you think he doesn't care? Free will is free will, and live on earth is insignificant to eternity in heaven. How come people tuck tail and run on the whole meaning of faith as soon as things get hard. lol
@@scannerbarkly I mean he could at least give them a proper phone to call him with instead of skinning children and all that right?
Between the resurrections, smiting, miracles and actual divine interventions… I don’t think God doesn’t care.
Monomolecular blade? Anti-tank swords? Is this sci-fi?
Come on, if it was hammers or even axes I could buy it, but swords are a bridge too far.
Did you miss the part about the Jesus clones that they harvest blood and flesh from to make super soldiers, or that the patron saint of metallurgy apparently had god directly tell them how to infuse the literal light and fire of heaven I to metals? This setting runs on rule of cool and grim dark.
This Isn't old Warhammer fantasy.
Humanity ain't winning with just basic real world shit let alone WW1-2 era stuff.
And Axes were actually for some time used in Anti-tank role.
