Just ordered my spinner last week from amazon. Hopefully, it will be in my hands by Friday of this week. Need to get my spin on with Tempest!!! Great video dude!!!
Sweet. In my installation, I show adding more screws. I think many just use the 2 existing screws. Not sure if only 2 is fine, maybe it is. Either way, its pretty easy to install and great upgrade!
@@ConsoleKits Hey ,a while back i watch a video by a RUclipsr named DrunkenMasterPaul you might know of him maybe. ruclips.net/video/4UQhNa_Q55M/видео.html . In his video he did use all 4 screws so i think your good on yours as well , just saying lol.
Glenn's spinner is amazing, I get so much play out of Tempest now. One guy got an upgraded A1UP spinner on the FB forum and it looked great. But that Thunderstick.....
Yeah I saw some footage of the new Arcade1Up spinner. It seemed to spin for a very long time! Thats what got me interested. I did pickup the Asteroids for $75. I was planning on modding it, but thinking about testing that upgrade first on it. Thanks for tuning in.
i was able to fix my stock spinner by disassembling it and cleaning the bearings with WD40. I can spin the spinner, go get a drink, come back, and the spinner is still turning. The stock spinner is actually really good if you unfoul the bearings.
Hey Console Kits had my new spinner and board for the 12 in one cabinet little over month and a half I love it so much better for Tempest and Major Havoc
Yeah, I got this in April and just got around to install it. Been busy researching getting better audio from NES/Famicom (its consuming a lot of my time). I have very happy with the upgrade. Did you get the daughter board to let the trackball work too?
I got the spinner and the board for it, ive been sitting on it for around two weeks and just never get around to installing it. Ive got to get this done, when i do i will give my review of it.
Any chance of an update vidoe showing what to do with the old spinner? As its soldered into the trackball. I am stuck at this point as non of the info shows what to do.
I guess they did upgrade their spinner, cause I just bought the partycade Asteroids and the spinner spins round and round and keeps spinning. There doesn't seem to be as pressing a need to replace the spinner now, it feels pretty sturdy as well.
Seems much improved, but I sort of think the knob should be a bit smaller. It looks really wide, and that makes it that your cannon doesn't rotate as much when you turn the dial. With a quarter twist of your fingers you would want your cannon to make a full revolution. It seems that isn't happening. Or is there a sensitivity setting that allows you to adjust ?
Claude Desaulniers there is a sensitivity adjustment. I should try it out. So you’re saying 1/4 turn should do 360 in the game? I can try to find that setting.
@@ConsoleKits That's good. I didn't know you could adjust it. Yes, I would think 1\4 - 1\3 knob turn per full cannon revolution would give you the best control ?
Agreed, the original spinner was pretty much one to one sp with some skill you did not have to "spin" so to speak but it looks like a vast improvement to the one that came with it.
I got this spinner for my arcade1up Asteroids. Has an issue with Major Havoc. When I need to spin it hard/fast, Havoc moves extremely slow or doesn't move at all. I've tried all the different switch settings too. Any fix for this at all? BTW, with Tempest, you can spin it as hard/fast as you want and it works PERFECTLY!
Buzz Morgan hmm. I’m not sure, but I think I know who can help. The RUclipsr “Glen’s Retro Show” designed this spinner. He also runs the official Arcade1Up Facebook page. He is busy right now because he works in health care in NYC, but if there’s a solution he’ll know. But I’ll play with it this week.
Good to know. I was seeing videos of the new A1Up and it seemed to spin (on the screen) for a longer time. I was wondering if the spinner was actually still spinning or the controls where triggering the extra spin. (or I am wrong about the longer spin I thought I was seeing).
so you are holding the spinner wrong. you want to hold it just with your finger tips. then you want to do more of a -1 0 +1 0 -1 0 +1 0 -1 etc motion very very fast.
Just got my TMNT and now I want more. Star Wars cabinet coming in a few days and then I want either Galaga or this one. Tough decisions. RIP my wallet.
Oh hey. Yeah. The aftermarket spinner is awesome on 12-in-1. Like I posted on the other video, maybe look for deal. I hear about Galaga discounted more often than 12-in-1.
I have the 12-in-1, it didn't have a spinner, it had a knob...lol. Cheap, cost cutting, and worthless. First thing I did was replace the knob with a real spinner.
It looks like you have donkey Kong on your Pac-Man unit how did you do that. That's what I want I own the Pac-Man I don't know how to get donkey Kong. Make a video on that please.

Update? How'd it work for you?
I recently order mine this past monday when it came back in stock. Now its sold out again. Cant wait to get it.

Oke that is really cool you can upgrade the spinner :D
Thanks for sharing !
no link to the spinner?????
This spinner is great.
Thanks Ultimo :)
Glen Planamento You bet 👍🏻 You guys did a great job designing it for a good price. I'm very happy with it.
Nice solid aluminium knob

I’m so into tempest lately

I have the Asteroids cabinet, I did upgrade the spinner, do you recommend any 60 in 1 mods for it?
Good video keep up great work

FYI: If you need to cut a hole for this spinner, the hole size is 1 3/8...You're welcome.
Hi. can it be used in a computer by means of a usb connector?. Is there any way to adapt it?
Yes. The company has grown to selling many controllers compatible with computers.

Spinner combined with the new 12-1 board is great, but I still stink at Tempest.
Yeah Tempest is hard. Isn't there like 80 level?
Console Kits
I think it goes past that, but either way I would have a LONG way to go. I am, however, better with the new spinner.
:)
No optional USB cable version???? Ultimarc SpinTrak and Turbo Twist 2 RULES!!!
Can this spinner be used on PC?
I believe so. I haven't tried. But I heard this adapter works on both the Arcade1up, but also on a PC.

@@ConsoleKits Thank you for the reply :)
If I were to buy that 12 in 1 right now 6/11/19 would it come with that shit spinner or the updated version you talked about at 0:32
I’m certain all the store are stocked with the old version.

@@ConsoleKits GREAT! Thank u for the reply.
The one you have is the best. You can adjust the sensitivity, the arcade 1up one is way too sensitive.

Know what's better than any arcade 1up...building one yourself
Spinner's are easy made, 20 years ago i used a Ball Mouse Encoder, and Large Metal Knob from old HiFi
Yeah my spinner is horrible...about half-way it gets "stuck"...don't understand it
