Those fuel canisters are actually meant to be used as food warmers. Place them under chafing dishes. Great idea about the burrito. They looked tasty. Will try that soon. Thanks for sharing.
Why didn't you just put the unopen pack of meat into the water you was heating for the beans, that way your meat would already be hot and you wouldn't have had to mess up your canteen cup with anything but water. Also if you didn't eat all the meat it would still be in the pack so you could just fold the top of the pack over and had it later and not have to mess up your cup. It did look really good though
Use the back of your hand to check for heat. More sensitive than the palm, plus keeps lighter away from the flame! First video ai saw where a sterno type fuel was used with a canteen stove. Thumbs up!

When I was a kid and went camping canteen cup cooking was warming up a can of beans. Burritos are a whole lot better than a cup of beans eh?
