sentinel + shotgun has been my go-to this season. they just fit so well especially with mad maggie where you can do some crazy pushes after the initial charged sentinel hits.
@@Kultus1337 if you’re good at single fire weapons and quick scopes and snap aiming, its not bad at all. I’ve been running shotgun + sniper for lots of seasons. Covers all ranges. And if you hit your shots, the load out is devastating for opening damage in fights, AND for closing fights quickly. The only fall back is when you don’t have cover to play off of. That’s when the fully auto weapons take advantage.
Had a thought for a 3 part Crypto rework. -his drone has a menu of predetermined paths when you hold down the tactical button, similar to the grenades or healable menu. Things like a circle, straight line, or a zigzag path. -when you tap the tactical button it sends the drone into the predetermined path, scanning the area on autopilot. -double tapping the tactical puts you in the standard free roam mode.
When the mozambique hit for 100 with hammers, this was a viable combo. Double tap scout works well in sub of the sentinel. I used to run DT Eva8 and Mozammers with Rampart. That was a nasty combo.
This is probably dumb but I main Newcastle and my favorite loadout for him is a prowler with a 2x and any shotgun. Prowler is definitely underrated at mid-range and has an insane hipfire spread which gives you two good options for quick peeking with his shield, and I think that is more important for Newcastle than having a better long-range/mid-range weapon.
I can see your reasoning working well. Good on you for using prowler with 2x cause I consider myself a good aim but that shits hard. Maybe I should pick up the prowler more.

Totally agree on the alternator. it's easy to control even without any attachments and has good ammo economy, which makes it very useful during early game when you don't have the attachments yet and whatever ammo you found on the ground next to it. and during that time you'll mostly encounter white armor, so the dps aren't too much trouble anyway. the iron sights are also pretty good.
I think if they gave crypto a movement ability he'd be pretty good his drone can get him left behind even if you're quick if your playing with a fast squad, vantage can hang back and snipe without the same problem.
basically the stereotype for crypto. if you're stuck in the drone, they complain that you aren't there to fight and lag behind rotations. if you don't, they complain that you aren't using his kit and could've played bh or seer instead. but something that helps crypto bridge the distance would be nice.

Well the only reason you see catalyst basically all the time now in algs is because of seer ult and her ult. She would still be good if the wall got nerfed to deny ANY wall hacks but the primary reason she’s used is her synergy with seer.

I enjoy crypto, hiding and flying his drone is the most I usually get to play other than sitting in the lobby. I like knowing where the enemy is as much as possible, I have trouble seeing them, maybe playing on a laptop? Maybe my eyes are failing me in my old age?
The octane was not solo, your map scan only showed one person over there but was not correct. The octane jump padded onto the bangalore you were fighting and killed her with p2020 hammer points, then another player with the octane was shooting you with a wingman. The same team that took the jump pad to you at the prowlers on the roof was that team. Octane with HP and the other guy.
I've been running 30-30 and alternator all season. The 30-30 is amazing for long range while the alternator is great for mid and close range. I actually prefer the alternator over the r99 due to it's ranged potential.
At this point, I don't think Crypto being underpicked is a viability thing tbh. The sheer amount of info he can give the team is undisputed; the number of squads in an area, consistent scans on enemies, loot scouting, instant becon scans, etc.-- it's just that he also demands a bit of a different playstyle, and players who either don't like that style or aren't willing to learn it would simply rather play someone else. There are two other scan legends after all that are much easier to use-
Gibby is slow and Crypto isn't a movement legend. You almost eliminated their weaknesses with great trident play. I don't know if those are fair representations. It was awesome, but still

I chanced upon the Sentinel + 3x scope and R301/Flatline combo this season and my God I've farmed so much damage I used to play Vantage a lot but my L3 won't click so I stopped maining her and now I play a lot of Mirage
People don't know how slept on vantage is. She gets high ground insanely easy and if you know how to scout an area quickly you can ping them in seconds then she has long range and let's you know if you can shoot the head or not
anyone remember when in season 2 everybody thought that when crypto was added anyone who was playing him would be chased by militia cops? The leaks were crazy back then
Hey TGM, could you do a video comparing the post buff r99 vs the post nerf car please. It's something I've wondered about since the start of the season
I'm sure you wanna still hear the video but the tldr is that the r99 has better time to kill and easier horizontal recoil, but the car can use both ammo types and both magazines. They have the same 338 damage per mag at purple/gold. I find myself picking up the r99 when I have the right mag for it, but usually the car works better for ammo conservation and it's easier to find a mag
Tbh imo there's 0 reason to run car past off drop because the r99 just having recoil about 10x easier to control, better DPS, ttk, mag size and hipfire with laser sights
The newcastle and altenator/eva-8 isnt bad bro i main Newcastle this season and my fav gun last season was the altenator however the eva can go be chucked in a fire
You know the screens that are all over the map that show player banners? If you use Crypto’s drone to look at the banners, it shows you how many squads are within 200 m of your position instead
Just thought of a decent mild crypto buff. Why not make it to where you can always see if squads are nearby? Toggle it on and off like seers heartbeat sensor but reduce the detection radius a lil bit. Also what about a enemy nearby warning while you’re in drone with a small radius but enough so you don’t get surprised when you’re in your drone?
Longbow has the attachments issue, where to get the full benefits you NEED to have them first. Was the same for Hemlok, Devotion and L-Star, could be decent or even good, but only with upgrades.
Same thing happened with seer after the original nerf, same with caustic, and gabby, and Maggie, and fuse.. and bloodhound. Never trust apex pros on the meta basically
The hemlock is objectively bad, it has some of the lowest DPS in the game (pre care package), lower than the rampage, plus the fact that it's annoying to use the burst, it's completely useless at hipfiring, it's way too hard to use and not even good

Been really enjoying using a damage character as Rev and using the R301 but getting more used to the select fire even without the hop up, and r3 single fire kinda goes hard even, and then hammer point weapon to finish things of quick or even poke someone is great. And getting 45 dmg mid range w the mozam ads-ing does feel great
Honestly, P2020 is a better Hammerpoints secondary because how much they nuked the damage multiplier on Mozam. Also Respawn killed the idea of having a strong sidearm if you didn't get a better guns by having a reliable, easy to find hop-up by making Hammerpoints legendary.

the mobile shield means you can turn long range into mid range at your discretion.

Almost same. Nemessis + r99/PK on Loba is my Go to so far and if you are not with two monkeys you are good to go.
