Very true. Albeit my 25 year marriage ended in that fashion with the ex telling the lover that. But he wasn’t truthful because he didn’t go get the divorce. I had to do it although he wanted it. 😆Go figure. Oh well. Not my problem now 😉
Yes Anthony, perhaps if people would quit sleeping with someone else's husband or someone else's wife hanging on to that thread that they think to be true. After all the person coming to them is lying to begin with in the relationship, so why would they be truthful now. It may sound cruel but the people that are killed by a jilted lover whether their wife or mistress or husband or mistress or mister, c'est la vie! You get one life you want to rot in a grave, because you couldn't control yourself. Such a shame people have zero impulse control.

She was an idiot. She let this dude play her. She could have had any unmarried man she wanted but she choose to stay with a married man years after she knew he had been lying his ass off to her.
@@Catglittercrafts That is true but he is still a dog and he still lied in the beginning before he confessed that he was married. So....she still would have had the same emotions.
I did too! But april has a point ... but who among us hasn't been played? Times are different now, if yous lept with a man back then you felt morally as if you should be with them forever. And he was obviously quite the con artist. Yet at a certain point she married another dude and divorced him? SMH. I wonder if there are any other single women out there who have sworn off of men because so many lie and cheat?! lol! But not BC ever!
How much do I wish that Laura had finished her teaching qualifications, or latterly, found the strength to finish it with him and keep on with her successful hotel business. How can it not have been premeditated? 🤔 Thanks for the story. I like the boom but to be honest I didn't notice it was missing today. That was fascinating. Good wishes 🙏🏼 ❤️ 🍀 🗺️ 🏴
Love the booms.... Trust yourself. There will always be group that will hate what you do, regardless of the topic. Your channel shows, that you know what your doing... Love from Texas! 💜🤠💜
I like the intro and booms, but you do as you see fit since it's your channel, either way I will still enjoy. I feel sorry for these women, Clara because he was cheating on her and Laura because he kept stringing her along even after she got married. Why do that to a person when you have no intention of being with them? I do believe after he messed with her head so much she snapped. I am glad that she didn't have to serve prison time due to temporary insanity because she was living her own personal hell with him. He deserved what he got, I am sorry, but that's how I feel.
I agree. I agree with the 'boom' and definitely that the man got what he deserved. I really can't stand those who cheat on their wives and lie to their mistresses. It is just totally dishonest and wrong.
Fascinating story, this one. Not sure how I feel about it. I can see both sides. 1. She was simply jealous and wanted to punish his wife by cheating her out of her husband; and 2. She was so distraught because of years of his lies that she did become temporarily deranged. You did point out she was a very good actress, so the whole insanity thing could have been an act. Who knows? I love the introduction and the "boom" sounds. They make your videos stand out. It kinda reminds me of one of my favorite TV series, Law and Order, and I love it please don't get rid of all that.
I thought that she might have been plotting to kill the wife, but after observing the family realized that she had been strung along and decided to kill him for leading her on. I don't have any evidence of that, but that's where my thoughts naturally went.
Noticed the missing intro, boom also. I was honestly interested in the story. You do you,💕 whichever way you prefer but I liked the way it was. But I'll always listen, just don't start screaming and yelling and making funny noises LMAO 😂
@Akira Kurosawa That guy was a selfish bastard. Keeping Laura prisoner as a mistress was highly damageful to her respectability, yet he never wanted to engage his. But for the fuckolada, no need to push him, oh nooooes
I remember the first time a video of yours randomly played while autoplay was on and without a doubt, the boom was my favourite part, only second to"Brief...Case". They both had me chuckling and they're a big part of the reason I watched more videos and subscribed even though at the time I wasn't interested in historic cases. Now these stories have become one of the best parts of my week and in a big way, thanks to the boom. Please run the channel however you like as it's yours. The boom is one of its defining charms.
I love this channel! This case was featured on an episode of Diabolical Women (with a few changes) and your version was much more informative. Older crime cases are so much more intriguing. Thanks for all your hard work.
I finally get a chance to sit back as we go to...and no boom?! Bring back the boom. The episode wasn't bad. I just like the drama of it. Either way, keep making content. Love this channel.
Your stories are amazing, such attention to detail. Personally, I love the boom!! Please reintroduce it!! Folk have been following you, gripped by your historical crimes, all of the way through....so why rid the boom??
She should've know he'd lie again. She shouldn't have divorced her husband until he proved he had already gotten a divorce. He should have expected it. Don't lie!
Yeah, I was shocked that she did not wait until he divorced his wife before she divorced her husband. He wanted it both ways - make sure she is available to him year after year, but want to keep his married/family
We, your subscribers, have subscribed due to exactly what you do - the introduction, the booms, your style and everything else included. Without *all* those elements, it wouldn't be "briefcase" that we know, appreciate & love.😁
I liked the boom, as you call it, and the music. Made the video creepier! Loved hearing about Laura Fair. I had never heard of her case. As I used to tell my Ancient Literature students, human nature and emotions have not changed. Love, jealousy, hate, etc. have remained the same down through the centuries, and we can identify with the tragic tale of Mrs Fair.
My father (who was not a biblical scholar) made one of the wisest observations about the Bible that I've ever heard, "If you read the bible the one thing it will teach you absolutely is that people really haven't CHANGED all that much over thousands of years of history .
WOW! I am incapacitated for a few weeks and I come back to three great stories and major changes. I personally like the intro and boom sounds, and consider them hallmarks of your channel. Whatever you decide to do I’ll still be listening!
I know I'm a bit late on this, but not only the intro but the boom sounds add alot to your videos in my opinion and anyone complaining about such a trivial thing as "you use the boom sound and I don't like it" is just being nit picky or just a run of the mill internet troll. I can't honestly believe that REAL people are ACTUALLY bothered by something as minor as "the boom sounds" lol. Another great one my dude! Plz keep it up and KEEP THE BOOM AND INTRO
Oh, BC, another great episode. I, truly missed the introduction, as I love “sitting back” and knowing where we are going for the story. I also love the “boom” sound effects. I’ve grown used to them and they are almost like a “comfort food” feeling for me. I know you will never be able to make everyone happy-so you do whatever is best for your channel, I will support you either way. ❤️
I enjoyed today's feature about, Laura Fair it's a story that's old as the hills. A married man who cheats on his wife and has a mistress who he tells that he'll marry her, "one day." I personally miss your introduction to your stories, the boom sounds doesn't bother me either way. But, it's your preference because it's your channel, period! I'll still enjoy your channel, because I find it very interesting.
I do prefer the sounds. It makes the story transitions more distinctive. I'm disturbed that Mrs. Fair got off for committing murder, simply because the victim was unlikeable. This scenario is much a reflection of today's times. Too many people think the ends justify the means, because some people are unlikeable. It's not true. We all must be responsible for what we do.
She probably felt that he not only took advantage of her with his deceit, but also that she was made to look cheapened from it. She was infuriated and hated him for it. Although pre-meditated, this has overtones of second-degree murder. She should have known right from the beginning that her chances of leaving his wife for her were slim, however.
Please bring back both the typical intro., as well as the boom. Also, I was literally disgusted by the behavior of literally everyone involved in this case.
Try listening when you're going to sleep. It usually takes me a couple stories but his voice is so soothing and the cadence he reads helps me get to sleep.
I like the boom sound. It builds suspense. When I hear that and see "The crime" I know sh** is about to get real. The intro sets the stage and builds some intrigue. I kind of wait with baited breath.. "ok so where are we today...". It felt like something was missing today.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it." I am late to the debate, but I enjoy the format you have been using over the one for this video. Although I have to admit this is one of my very favorite stories.
I like the intro: it's distinctive, and others imitate it because it's a good setting up of the story that is to follow. The other sounds are ok. I like to know we are going to another sector like :"The Trial". You have a good and nice format. I wouldn't touch it if I were you
I'm so excited to watch this your voice always makes me feel very comfortable and I love learning the stories. I'm trying to sleep right now so I can have enough energy to work at 5:00 to 11:30 p.m. shift tonight. I will be working for the next 8 days so I'm not super excited about it lol anyways I hope everyone has a really nice day and no matter what please don't be racist Be nice to yourself and be nice to others and be the change that we need as humans
Oh wow a story starting out in Holly Springs Ms , lived in Memphis many years , I actually traveled back and forth to do acrylic nails ( I was a manicurist at the time) for a movie called Cookies Fortune (been years ago, maybe 20) great movie has big names but was low budget but I recommend👌 as I'm listening it interesting she ended up in Nevada wich is where I am now lol ( Reno) near Virginia City I grew up in Soda Springs near Lake Tahoe in an old hotel my parents owned built in the 1800's. Such a sad story all the way around Laura sadly should have wished up and left him for good 💔 and realized he was a no good 2 timing man. PS I LIKE THE BOOMS AND SPECIAL NOISES 🤗 bring em back , they make your stories even more interesting to me anyway👌👌👌And I like the intro...
South Lake Tahoe been going since I was a baby 1967 to our family cabin. A piece of my heart is in Lake Tahoe 🦅 Was visiting Virginia City & Carson City since I was a kid
You've had it for so long that it seemed weird without it. Since I often listen to you while at work the transition helps me keep track of where you are in the story. Now I'm just confused and it feels like I missed something lol. Yeah, bring it back please
To spend that many years in love with a man . To believe his deception and web of lies . To find out that he is still in love with his wife and he has no intention of being honorable. Had to be soul crushing for her . Hence the reason she didn't flee after she shot him. Stress , shock , the realization that you have been made a fool. Can push anyone over the edge . P.s. the transition boom was cool but either way is fine. It's your show and we came here to listen to your stories. Do what makes YOU happiest . Love the show , thank you for all your hard work.
Every person has their breaking point and she reached her's... You can only be lied to and used for so long before you eventually lash out.. I know because I did it too although I didn't kill anyone but I made sure when I found out he was married his wife found out.. He had lied to me for almost a year, begged me to let him move in with me which thankfully I refused to do because there was something that always felt a little off.. Afterwards he tried hard to get me to be with him still lmao.. So he was really lucky I guess that I wasn't another Laura Fair Don't change your intro please.. It's such a part of your podcast
Chose to ruin his wife’s life as well? He was wrong, no doubt, but to make his wife suffer the pain you felt because of his wicked lies, is down right evil
I feel like messing with someone's mind and emotions should be a crime anyway. So I'm kinda on Laura's side this time. I don't mind the booms. I like them. I also appreciate the background given in the introductions. You have to do what you think will be good for your channel in the end, but I'm saying I like the things that make the channel unique.
As the "wife" I can say, ladies, if you're the other woman, just go on and find your own man. Men, please, just one woman at a time! These situations kill us, but they can also get you killed!
As you see even paper( marriage) dnt save you. A wife can get moved to the side AND GET NOTHING if a man wants it that way NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU WAS MARRIED FOR. SOME MEN DO LEAVE FOR THE OTHER WOMAN. SO WAS HE REALLY YOUR MAN ?

@@Catglittercrafts yes. You are absolutely correct. She was played like a violin.
@@Catglittercrafts That is true but he is still a dog and he still lied in the beginning before he confessed that he was married. So....she still would have had the same emotions.
I actually did not feel a bit of empathy for him. Not in the least. Play a stupid games. Win a stupid prize.
I wonder if Laura's ex-fourth husband was called to give any testimony? I wonder how he felt about all this?
I like the boom sounds and the introduction. I feel like it's very theatrical and gets you into the story.
Thanks :)
Bring back the boom please.
I love a little brief case while I get ready for my day!
I love this programme . I am 79 and live alone and get great pleasure from the stories.
How much do I wish that Laura had finished her teaching qualifications, or latterly, found the strength to finish it with him and keep on with her successful hotel business.
How can it not have been premeditated? 🤔
Thanks for the story.
I like the boom but to be honest I didn't notice it was missing today.
That was fascinating.
Good wishes 🙏🏼 ❤️ 🍀 🗺️ 🏴
Ahh, Brief Case! The perfect cure for Monday! Thanks for all the hard work, Brief Case! Blessed be!
Love the booms.... Trust yourself. There will always be group that will hate what you do, regardless of the topic. Your channel shows, that you know what your doing... Love from Texas! 💜🤠💜
BOOMS pleeeeeeeease!
Thanks :)
I thought that she might have been plotting to kill the wife, but after observing the family realized that she had been strung along and decided to kill him for leading her on. I don't have any evidence of that, but that's where my thoughts naturally went.
@@melsterifficmama1808 that is another possibility.
Thank you! I would like the sounds back as it creates an atmosphere! ❤️
Noticed the missing intro, boom also. I was honestly interested in the story. You do you,💕 whichever way you prefer but I liked the way it was.
But I'll always listen, just don't start screaming and yelling and making funny noises LMAO 😂
OK Thankyou :)
The boom always makes me jump and brings an element of suspense. You know the murder is about to take place. I love it
@@amydegan Yes! It prepares my mind for the sinister mystery to come
Another gem, poor Laura and poor Clara. I missed the boom. Thanks Brief Case
@Akira Kurosawa
That guy was a selfish bastard. Keeping Laura prisoner as a mistress was highly damageful to her respectability, yet he never wanted to engage his. But for the fuckolada, no need to push him, oh nooooes
Off topic, but there is something about the narrator's voice that is so soothing to listen to, very enjoyable
Thank-you
I remember the first time a video of yours randomly played while autoplay was on and without a doubt, the boom was my favourite part, only second to"Brief...Case".
OK Thankyou :)
Brief Case ALWAYS 😊 makes my Monday mornings. Thanks very much! Happy Monday folks☺️
I love this channel! This case was featured on an episode of Diabolical Women (with a few changes) and your version was much more informative. Older crime cases are so much more intriguing. Thanks for all your hard work.
Thankyou
I finally get a chance to sit back as we go to...and no boom?! Bring back the boom. The episode wasn't bad. I just like the drama of it. Either way, keep making content. Love this channel.
Thanks :)
I like the boom sounds
Thanks :)
@@BriefCaseOfficial I can see that I'm outnumbered, but I liked the non-boom today. Whatever happens, I never miss your "show"!
Your stories are amazing, such attention to detail.
Personally, I love the boom!!
Please reintroduce it!!
Folk have been following you, gripped by your historical crimes, all of the way through....so why rid the boom??
Thankyou :)
I like the Intro and Boom, thanks Brief Case. Boom Boom shake my room
😂🤣
Thanks :)
Yeah, the “boom” is such a signature sound to your videos, I say keep it
Thanks :)
Bring back the BOOM!
@@BriefCaseOfficial I actually listen to your videos when I'm drawing and the boom startles me lol this one without it was nice
Zz
I think the" boom" narrates sections of the story and keeps the listener in-tune, just like a book has chapters :)
Thanks
Absolutely! It's a wonderfully chilling sound, appropriate for these videos!
Thanks :)
I love the boom sounds and the introduction part as well! Keep it coming !!
Thank you! Will do :)
When you'd say "So, sit back..." I actually did! I miss the intro and booms. I vote for bringing them back.
What is ancient literature? Gilgamesh? Horace, Homer? It sounds interesting. Wish they'd had that course at my college
I like the boom!! I'm a fourth grade teacher here in Kissimmee, Florida and I love listening to these while I eat my lunch every day!!
WOW! I am incapacitated for a few weeks and I come back to three great stories and major changes. I personally like the intro and boom sounds, and consider them hallmarks of your channel. Whatever you decide to do I’ll still be listening!
Thanks and get better soon
I'm in Texas also
She waited for SEVERAL YEARS for her to think he would divorce?! 🤦🤦🤦🤦
.3
Thankyou so much :)
This was perfectly expressed!! The intro IS a comfort food
Men never seem to realise when they two-time, one of the parties just might not go quietly.
It’s not solely men who cheat.
Keep this same mindset when men kill women who two-time them
@@torachan23 Yup. Fair is fair.
Bring back the the intros and the booms!! I’ve come to expect that from Brief Case It makes it you 🧡
The boom adds to the ambience of the channel brother, don't get rid of it, whatever you do
I say keep the Boom! I like it..that’s your signature
Thanks :)
Oh absolutely 😊
I was just going to say this! The boom is definitely part of your videos. Love it!
Yes !
KEEP THE BOOM!! It gives the story an eerie feeling. Love it!!!
She cheated on a good man.her 4 th husband
please, keep doing your regular intro: "so sit back..". it's one of my favourite parts of your videos. also, bring back the BOOM!
Love your stories. Wanted to say I love the transitional sounds in the video. I missed it in this one.
I love listening to the episodes while I work on projects. I learn a lot and your narration is easy to follow. Cannot wait for the next one.
Thanks :)
Try listening when you're going to sleep. It usually takes me a couple stories but his voice is so soothing and the cadence he reads helps me get to sleep.
I miss the extra sounds! It was part of your style!
Thanks :)
I love your entire program. I am all for the boom and sit back.....
I like the boom sound. It builds suspense. When I hear that and see "The crime" I know sh** is about to get real. The intro sets the stage and builds some intrigue. I kind of wait with baited breath.. "ok so where are we today...". It felt like something was missing today.
"If it ain't broke don't fix it."
I am late to the debate, but I enjoy the format you have been using over the one for this video. Although I have to admit this is one of my very favorite stories.
You are not too late - Thanks for the feedback :)
I only saw this today and I LOVE the boom sounds. I think they add to the stories. Love all the cases. Please keep booming lol.
Thankyou
Love ur videos, i watch them every monday after work. Love from finland
Thankyou so much :)
@@BriefCaseOfficial you are welcome!
I like the intro: it's distinctive, and others imitate it because it's a good setting up of the story that is to follow. The other sounds are ok. I like to know we are going to another sector like :"The Trial". You have a good and nice format. I wouldn't touch it if I were you
Thankyou :)
Priscilla Watson I agree; the format is unique. Don’t touch it, BC!
I personally like the "Boom" & all other sounds they add to the theme & ambiance of the topics being presented.
Boom please
Thanks :)
Keep The Boom, that was what got me hooked to your video in the first place.
Yeah definitely love the boom and suspense and dramatic effect a lot of these cases are dramatic kind of fits your tone and voice as well
I noticed the lack of an introduction, but didn't notice the lack of booms until you said something.
I LOVE and look forward to hearing the BOOM transition. Its like a signal to coming intrigue.
i love that this video didnt have the boom.... i have hearing sensory issues so thank you
Thanks :)
Bunny, I'm sorry the noise bothers you. But since so many people love it, could you mute the beginning? :)
Thankyou :)

Love listening while i get ready for work🙂
You've had it for so long that it seemed weird without it. Since I often listen to you while at work the transition helps me keep track of where you are in the story. Now I'm just confused and it feels like I missed something lol. Yeah, bring it back please
I love the booms sounds and ALL the musics.
Good morning, Brief Case!🌞🌞🌞
Morning :)
I LOVE your introduction and Boom sound!👍
Laura and Alexander were two of the most toxic people I've ever seen.
I have to say this one disgusts me. Apparently no one criticised the man appalling behaviour.
She still had no right to murder him, especially in front of his kids
Brief Case, Great episode! And yes, bring back the intro and Boom . I like them
Every person has their breaking point and she reached her's...
So he was really lucky I guess that I wasn't another Laura Fair
Don't change your intro please.. It's such a part of your podcast
She could have made the moral choice to leave a married man , she knew he was a liar and a cheater and she chose to stay
Chose to ruin his wife’s life as well? He was wrong, no doubt, but to make his wife suffer the pain you felt because of his wicked lies, is down right evil
@@dgw7732 She needed to know. Now if his wife decided to stay with him and, let’s say he cheats again-it’s on her.
About the boom sound, I actually like it as it makes your program unique.
Thanks Tracey
As the "wife" I can say, ladies, if you're the other woman, just go on and find your own man. Men, please, just one woman at a time! These situations kill us, but they can also get you killed!
As you see even paper( marriage) dnt save you. A wife can get moved to the side AND GET NOTHING if a man wants it that way NO MATTER HOW LONG YOU WAS MARRIED FOR. SOME MEN DO LEAVE FOR THE OTHER WOMAN. SO WAS HE REALLY YOUR MAN ?
Well said and I completely agree!
Also, if we just did away with marriage people are still going to see multiple people if they are so inclined.
Or just agree to be non-monogamous with each other. It's the lying after all.
Agreed but usually the mistress is just as fooled.
