Lost count of how many times I have watched this clip. My favourite singer/guitarist. Fortunate to have met him after a show and we talked for ages. What a nice guy and superb performer.
i keep coming back to it . class .
one of the best vocalists from the uk.... ever,,,....... fabulous,,,,
man... why Terry reid is so underated??? He deserves much ..much more , He is a genius in my opinion.
+Gabriel Raphael because Mickie Most fucked up his career.
+David O'Silverman Absolutely correct! Terry should have been the next Jimmy Page. I meet Mr. Most, and he was an ass.
And yet - this is exactly what Mickie Most wanted to turn him into!
What do you mean?
Interesting answer
What a sweet, sad, haunting video. So great to see Terry still playing.
Back here in the UK, I first listened to this man when he played at the Glastonbury Fayre festival ....an amazing lifetime experience for those like myself , to have been there. But now all these years later, to see and listen to him again on the BloodySundaySassions, is another real treat ! I love the way you took the artist out on to the street in a Horse & carraige ,and then also to see and occassionally hear the folk along the sidewalks shout out greetings in a so "hey, good to see yer !" sort of way ;Like a family appreciating something quite special taking place around the diner table after lunch. So Relaxed!
So glad you feel this was Allan
Seems Terry ,and the BloodySundaySessions has given us, and many others something worth feeling good about. So I am glad to be sharing that experience with you too Josh.
The man, Terry's timing and feel ,wow top shelf 🙏
Even the carriage horse's ears were tuned in to Terry's magic
This is brilliant.
I've recently discovered Terry Reid's fantastic River album and fail to understand why it and his other stuff was overlooked all those years ago.
For one thing, he only go airplay on FM Underground so not a lot of media exposure, PR, etc. Many great artists had the same experience.
Fantastic, just fantastic... and has been for many centuries. Unfortunately only very few know this great musician....
Simplemente hermoso Gracias Terry!
Truly wonderful and heart breaking.
Since it first was published this version as been part of me and cheered me up ever since. Especially the part where the buskers laugh. All my love(and I have a lot to give away)
This changes of tempo in the sections is something i miss in modern music. This is so raw and pure, and i feel sorry for the young generation that maybe will never know this kind of music. Real live music played by real musicians
This man!!! Words do not do him Justice!!! Terry you are amazing thank you for never selling out!!!
Terry Reid. Wow look tat his early stuff it's f@@king Amazing
Legend
Wow Thanks Joe Bonamassa for showing him to me. How I ever missed him? Beyond me. Yeah grew up in the 60's to early 70's SF Bay Area. Check out Dean Live awesome too. Lot of catching up to do.
thank you so much
Terry Reid, one of my favorites. Still awesome after all these years. Didn't get to hear very much of you at all back in the day. You can give us some fantastic stuff now dude! So, PLEASE DO SO!!! In a heart felt salute, with fist on chest above left breast, you are the best.
A true legend....
One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite singers
Absolute Legend .
My favorite song of all time, written by Gerry Marsden
Beautiful
Absolutely Criminal that Terry Reid isn’t Famous
Oh Terry 💖
Indeed a fine musician
Terry Reid - Pure genius, superb. Brought me to tears.
A beautiful wreck. Still has pipes but he doesn't know the words at all. I still love him!
amazing work
These are truthful roses. Legend
he has six strings not four
and he is awesome
One of the greatest things I have ever heard!
Jimmy Hendrix brought this bloke to the attention of USA producers after turning down the Led Zepp front man job..soon lost the Deep Purple gig too..had a magnificent period in the late 60s to late 70s then went to studio backing and background vocals. Still has his distinctive style in 2013.
Stupenda
To the band this is a very difficult song to make in this type of context, especially in this tempo and they did it great with a lot of feeling. Terry is always amazing
such soul...
What a great singer!
I had never heard of him, so I looked up some info on wikipedia - curious now for his "Superlungs" to come out next year :-)
+Ludo Beckers
I saw him open for Cream many years ago. You can't steal the show from Bruce Baker and Clapton but he was great!
So poorly mismanaged...I hear Frampton "Comes Alive" and can easily hear/vision Terry reaching similar stardom. Such a pro with profound feel and inflection.
pure ....... joy ......
The absolute best
Beautiful rendition of the 1960's hit for Gerry and the Pacemakers, written by Gerry Marsden himself. This is so typical of Terry Reid,to play his unique guitar style(wonderful)whilst driving in a horse drawn carriage and singing a now almost forgotten, but exquisitely composed song.He has such depth of feeling and wonderful phrasing ,and can sing anything very well !! A true professional.I hope he carries on performing for many years to come.As for all that stuff about joining Led Zeppelin I think he was well out of it.This is a dedicated artist,a true musician.
Pure soul
this song seems like it was meant for him. he sings it with a lot of feelings.
-Terry- Gerry And The Pacemakers.
Icon!!
I love this guy
He is a genius !!!!
fuck me this made me bawl like a baby
Nice video.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
God i wish my right hand could move like that
Is there a studio version of this song by Terry Reid ?
I don't believe so. Original done by Gerry and The Pacemakers.
At first I thought, "A little rough." Towards the end I was crying myself.
does anyone know the text?
Sadly, Terry didn't! He leaves out huge portions.
The man who turned down Led Zeppelin.
the name of the song please :)
Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying. Originally by Gerry & The Pacemakers. I think Gerry Marsden wrote it about his wife!
No excuses -go hear Terry ,in person .Regret is a terrible ghost.
voice is going a bit, but still great
333rd!
Wota,fuckin,chanter...? Scottish venacular..!
