Nope..i’m a very confident and secure woman. They are parents and need to communicate, we can’t hold our husbands/partners hostage because of our delusional insecurities.
This reminded me of my Step-Father. He is absolutely amazing and my Mom said to me that that whole step parenting dynamic is easier when the partner truly loves you cause then they'll make space for your kids and love your kids as their own. Also, she said when the primary focus is the child's well-being then there is no pettiness and bitterness. You truly are an angel, I tell you!!🌹🌹
I love that Dad is hands on, that halves the job but I can't imagine how hard it can be raising someone else's child but like you said God gave you the grace and wisdom to mother your older child. Continue being a supermom to him he will be grateful when he grows up because you do such a wonderful job.
Honestly speaking... step-parenting shouldn't be as hard as the society painted it. Its all about honesty, respect, openness, maturity, willingness, acceptance, boundaries & clear communication from both parents & from parents to their partners with one objective in mind - the betterment of the child/ children's livelihood. I love your blended family, you're doing so well & may God continue to grant you wisdom raising your sons👐🏿. Ga ona boikgokgomošho, always remain humble ❤ 🕯.
Sana, you've gained yourself a new subie. This topic was so interesting, especially as a stepmother. This journey is not an easy one, but with a good partner, it's manageable and well done, mommy❤
Mogwera you have a heart of gold, big up to you…however I feel like the parenting alone is working. Your husband being super hands on and open gave you the strength and platform to do your best. I’ve noticed the relationship between Ole and abuti is so beautiful they’re inseparable too. And for a woman who’s childfree in this generation I really am grateful to have witnessed the mother you are. The last Christmas photoshoot and all the clothes you used to post for the boys👏. “The boy has a home here he isn’t visiting ” your husband is blessed and so are you because what a woman you are. I love that you just love being a mother apart from looking at your position in the boy’s life. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, I love you so much ❤.
This sounds like such a healthy relationship, marriage and family. One thing about mature women, they will raise a peaceful and trauma free generation. There seems to be so much respect between you, your husband and big brothers mommy. It takes a village and you have made it all about the child, who didn’t ask to be in this situation but trusts the adults not to fail him. Continue this way, the Lord will continue to bless your family structure and all of you will see the fruits of your labour when Big brother is all grown up. Little brother will also learn from Big brother, as it seems he has a major influence and close relationship with him. So proud and happy to see black families win❤❤❤❤❤❤
Also, lets give credit to your hubby. He set the tone very well and love that you say all this is possible because he is a present father. Women are forced to be “fathers” to children they didnt bare and the fathers fail to lead the “different” family structure well. So kodus to your hubby by taking care of business 😂❤
This is such an important topic. Also, I think when a spouse comes with a child from a previous relationship relations are far better than when a child comes from outside but during a marriage. The step parent does not have resentment or trauma as opposed to when the other parent stepped out. You are not competing with the birth mother because you entered the relationship after theirs was finished. It also helps that the father plays his role and always has and you have no reason to be resentful unlike if he expected you to be the parent and he was not playing that role. Also, may God continue giving you more wisdom and BLESS your family. You are doing a great job, all of you.
Thank you mommy I needed to hear this..... Its been 8 years being a step mom but it's difficult day by day it's so tricky but after this vlog I've learned something😢❤🙌😇.

Hi Carol that's so sweet and kind if you. I enjoy your content and Olerato looks exactly like my son when he was young. My son likes to watch with me so that he can see his baby brother Olerato, you will find him blushing when he sees Olerato and say I can't believe this. So cute, love love, Nomusa.
I was touched by ths Topic,,i am not a step Mom to anyone but i woudnt mind being one in future if God give me that opportunity to be one because obviously if God bless me with a Future husband whos got kids. I wish we can have more of ths topic as Basadi so we can learn more nd more about being step parents.
I’m not a stepmom nhe but I have a stepsister. My mother is the wife and my stepsister was raised by our grandmother. My grandmother and my aunts used my stepsister to get to my parents marriage….things moved to where they were not happy with the clothes that my mother bought for her. My mother ended up dressing us like twins, yhooooo a lot happened. I don’t have a relationship with my stepsister 😢. As an adult now, I feel like my father should have handled things better. I like how you and your husband are handling thing. Big ups to you guys 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Oh Busi..the traumas are alot even for children within the marriage which is something that is overlooked. And yes i agree had your dad handled things better…I hope all is well and your mom is healed and happy now.
Bores me is when a child visits nd takes all the clothes I bought, then the next visits comes with no clothes to the extent tht u buy new ones, is best the child comes with no bag nd go bag with nothing, il practice th setup of coming with what the child is wearing nd go back with what is wearing
I envy all the step moms who have a good relationship with their step kids my step kids is 15 years old he came to stay with us this year yoooh that boy hates me 🙊😮
I’m so sorry mommy, i can just imagine the pain. Just pray for God to give you strength one day all will be alright. Your husband is the one failing you😢
I feel you mommy , am also a step mother to two teenagers and it's not easy hey, the attitudes and others things are not easy and wena as I parent you have to be a bigger person and take it all. I also agree with Aus carol give it to god, I always console myself by saying god gave me them knowing I will manage, thought it is not easy but at the end we will get it right together with those ups and downs...
Women's conference 2025 needs you, I so wish most stepmoms were like you because most of them always want the baby mama to be in touch with them not the father since baby mama can't be trusted
Eish step parenting is challenging, is a bit easier where daddy can afford, now as step mom financially u have to stand, even when u want to open ur heart, what happens when i can ony afford medical aid only for my kids😢, what happens when i can only afford okay schools for mine 😢,you now live a life of feeling bad. But when daddy can afford i think it ease everything,or when the other mommy is also is doing well
I hear you mommy, your comment just showed me another angle, it’s tough indeed. I can also imagine your stress. Trust me when i say there are men/women who can afford to provide for their kids with material things but still struggle with the co-parenting🤞🏾
I personally think that both of you mother's are well mannered, matured and wise and the father is so very lucky for not dealing with the drama of both the mothers. Mogwera you're a good person, when you mention your step son there's is calmness in your voice and the love in your eyes. Your husband is blessed to have a wife like you who loves and respect her family and who always puts God first. May the Lord continues blessing your marriage and family abundantly. ❤❤❤

May I ask why the boy child is not staying with you and dad, especially since you did mention that the father is a hands on dad?
It’s not easy for children, boy or girl to grow up without either of their parents, mom or dad. I can only imagine the trauma. With us thank God he is not growing up without his dad, it’s just that mommy is the primary caregiver…Situations like this are a work in progress you can’t get it right on the get go, we are learning perhaps one day that can happen.🙏🏾
Don't you get jealous gore your hubby and baby mama communicate directly?
