- This tutorial shows how to program LEDs on VKB devices. A Gladiator NXT is used in the video, but the procedure is the same on all other LEDs devices (Kosmosima grip, MCGU grip, Gladiator MKII, Gladiator K, Black Box MKI and MKII).

Yes! It took me a short bit to experiment, but I made the big RGB LED blink when I turned on the DR (double rate) on my axes 1/2! The setup was EVENT: Fix Axis, OP1: 4, LED: 10, Fast blink, Color1 set to 0:7:0 (I wanted green)... and it worked! I had to guess the OP1 parameter, 0 didn't work, I assumed that 1-3 was FA1-3 and 4 is DR? Wild guess really, but that's how it works. I love it!
(For completness, I used F2 button for DA toggle, switched it to Fix Axes, FA Type: DR, alternate action: check. The checkbox may not appear right away, go away from the window and try again. Choose axes 1 and 2 - that is roll and pitch.)

Got the VKB Combo WWII Throttle GNX-THQ but every Time I want to change the Colors I.e Push than Red LED and Push again Green it doesnt work. What do I do wrong? .Following this Tutorial but nothing even the Color of The LED happened... maybe is there an other Ttoriall for this HW?

I'm scared to use the Dev software. It seems easy enough but there's so many ways you can go wrong, leading to frightening situations with the hardware not working right or at all.
This is the one thing we would all ask for, a programming software for ordinary folks who didn't go to engineering school.
You won't fry the boards, that's for sure, if you try things. If it goes wrong all you have to do is to reset to default, reininialize and recalibrate and you're good to try again.

Hi could you do a Video How to program a POV as a slider with having 0 in the neutral position and from there small steps to 100% pushing it either x or y axis ? Would be useful specially for mining throttle in Star Citizen.

did you find it out? On the Gladiator NXT its the axis "z" i want to set a led on the movement. Greetings

Does this mean if i was being locked onto in dcs i could flash the red led on and off too show that for added effects?

Пользуюсь ГАНФАЙТЕР ПРО уже второй год. Одни положительные эмоции и вречатления. Но конфигуратор своией навороченностью немножко вызывает затруднения.
What do you use to remove the old grease? just a cloth or is there a good solvent? I used denatured alcohol and it kind of worked.
Cloth with a bit of alcohol works great.

Is it possible to have an axis map its 0-100 output to the brightness of a LED? I have a Gladiator NXT as a throttle and would like to have the top led go from off at zero throttle to full brightness at full throttle. Thanks!
Unfortunately you can't assign axis values to LEDs. You could assign buttons on that axis though (7 buttons in Axes2Buttons panel, to correspond to the LED's levels), then assign those buttons to LED levels.

Just got mine today and im wondering what option i'd need to choose to make the LED 11 only come lit when i press button 3 AND stay lit until i press it again to signalize me that my weapons are deployed or retracted. Please help i cant figure it out.
For me using "P-Alternate Function" as the Event turned the LED into a toggle. Push on/ push off.
@@WCC86can you explain how to do that?
@@ricasan On the LEDs tab, choose a row, for the EVENT column choose P-Alternate Function, for OP1 choose the button, for LED# choose the LED, and choose a LED MODE. For example if I set row 10 to be P-Alternate Function, 13, 11, Fast blink then the red led will blink when I press the POV hat and not blink when I press it again.
@@WCC86 Yes ive done that way, with p alternante, V alternante, there is something more.
Like, I want button 5 pressed once, flash yellow on led 10, and again, led 10 off. Still not working.
@ricasan If you go to the Profile tab, click the Poll checkbox and press button #5 (the pinky finger btn) you will see that it identifies as #11. So on the LED tab, enter in a row (I would put it in row 10 or later) EVENT= P-Alternate Function, OP1=11, LED=10, LED MODE=Fast Blink, COLOR MODE=Color1, and Color 1 = 7,7,0. "Set" the profile. It worked for me, hopefully for you too.

ok really this needs to get easyer. I am not a native speaker and this is so complex i have no chance. I am now left with a Stecs standart Throttle that is constantly blinking and i have noch clue why. So Software in terms of LEDs is really not good and i am so frustrated right now. Normally controlling leds should be an easy task.
You can reset it to default, then try again to program the LEDs. You can always get back to factory settings by clicking the Default button, clicking Yes to the following popup asking to configure and calibrating like here: ruclips.net/video/efbdFvC4c_4/видео.html

Do the SEM and FSM-GA also allow for their LEDs to be programmed in a similar fashion?

@@VKBSim A couple of points;
1. Got a link to a thread that identifies LEDs on GNX-SEM and FSM-GA?
2. I try not to join forums on HTTP rather than HTTPS for obvious reasons.
3. Searching forums for words of 3 letters tends to be problematic.
SEM seems to be ids 12-16, FSM-GA 17-31 (only one of each device present (incl joystick))
Also, I cant seem to select axis #9 (virtual controller) to show axis in center.
@@camioincogneato3635 It's just a forum, won't ask for real name or any confidential info. Anyway, I'll try to answer here: in the folder where VKBDevCfg is you'll find a file called zconfig ini. Open it in a notepad like program and add these 2 lines: under [Common] section and under [User] section (no < >). Save the file and run VKBDevCfg. Now you'll have a new tab on it in Test section: Misc. In this panel you could roll the LED number and press the Fast Test button; if a LED with that number exists on your devices it will lit up. You'll have to restart your devices afterwards.
@@VKBSim Done that and didn't do as expected - as in didn't play nice. But as you can see I nutted it out in the end.
Now if I can just get axis 9 to show axis in center.

@@VKBSim Hello there! How can i set a button like a switch only for blinking led (remain the same logical button), like: physical button 5:: zero state: color green, logical buttton 5. Pressed once, led 10 blink ultra fast yellow, logical button 5 (the same). I can almost configure the way i want, but not as a troggle, the blink works only while button 5 pressed...
For some reason the "Logical Buttons" method didn't seem to work for me. When I tried them as physical buttons they worked like a charm (albeit with some guess+checking)
I had the same experience. If you click on "poll" in the upper right corner of the physical layer grid you don't have to guess. Your button pushes are linked to the corresponding physical layer #.

@@WCC86 so ive clicked pull and pretty much when ever i try to set the l,e,d, to do samething when i press a button nothing works setting it as physical logical and virtual none of the above works anyone have and ideas how i can get it so when i press any of the buttons the light will do what i want?
@@jerridok2708 At time 6:46, look at row 6 of the settings window. Instead of using "logical button" for the event, use "physical button" for the event. The number to the right can be identified on the profile tab, physical button grid. With "poll" checked you should be able to tell the physical number of the button you are pressing. After you make your changes, be sure to press the "Set" button at the top because this stores your changes in the device.
Can I set up a led blinking when a switch in a virtual cockpit in the game turned on?
exactly, like air brakes open, or mic open, etc. Did you find out if it is possible?
