@@doctorvondoom5797 Do you have an actual argument? Because there wasn't a single animatronic. No special effects coming from the floats. Well, Universal still can't really compare to Disney on most things. Just from a basic experience - Disney is better from parking to exit by a pretty wide margin. Disney's philosophy to make access to each ride as easy as possible really is apparent when visiting both. Bring a backpack and enjoy Universal's problematic and crowded locker system versus just bringing your backpack on the rides. - except for Tron, but that is a locker system far superior to anything at Universal or any other park. I bet the Quint ACTOR is aware of that. But with some imagination, a person could visualize the reenactment being portrayed. Or they can just complain watching it for free on RUclips.
Floats were GREAT, but where were the classic Universal movie monsters?! That should be the final float, a large castle with all the movie monsters on it. In-between dance groups were AWFUL. The small size and costumes looked cheap. They got a little “better” with the Ghostbusters/Jaws/Jurassic Park floats where they were characters from those movies. The actor playing Doc on the Back to the Future float needs to be older instead of just some 20-something with a really bad gray wig, it looked like a high school play.
I've noticed them using Ghostbusters more lately so I wonder if the rumors of Rip Ride Rockit leaving soon are true, we end up getting some sort of GB themed coaster in its place. Or a retheme of Men in Black to Ghostbusters at some point.
Such a spectacular parade! However, if I were to make it better, here’s what I would do: 1. Replace the title float that has a screen with a new one featuring the parade's title appearing on a globe, with film reels and spotlights surrounding it. 2. After the title float, add in one that features Woody Woodpecker as the film director, similar to the Hollywood Dreams Parade. Have Winnie Woodpecker, Curious George, Gabby and, in a surprise appearance, Fievel Mousekewitz interact with guests along the route. 3. Improve the Jurassic World segment to make it on par with the one in the nighttime parade they have in Japan. 4. Right before the Ghostbusters segment, add in a float that features the Universal Monsters. Other than that, Universal Creative did an amazing job creating this parade. 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The first float should've had an Escalator at the rear. It really looks like it would fit judging by the front end design. Would be a funny USH reference
For once this really puts the watered down Festival of Fantasy at Magic Kingdom to absolute shame It might be a zero percent chance but WDI needs to look at their rival, Universal Creative with their fantastic floats and purpose a new parade for MK to put FOF to rest(and maybe DHS) to be confirmed at D23 either before or during that weekend. With that said.., I think they were planning this as early as 2020 before the pandemic changed everything, like the Minions unit was definitely representing The Rise of Gru(if the pandemic didn't move back its release by two yrs) and the Trolls unit felt like a promotion for the World Tour movie, and the KFP float had no trace of the polarizing fourth film(no Zhen, even though they have a costume for her in US Beijing), and also celebrated the recent Afterlife movie with Phoebe and her brother there(another film set for Summer 2020 without COVID), they're not nitpicks not at all, they're all solid additions(a real nitpick..., there's no Shrek and the way Universal continues to limit their animated output in the parks is crazy)
I hope they add Shrek, Transformers and the Universal Monsters other than that this is a cool parade with my favorite looking float being the Jurassic Park one.
The floats looked great, but the sound design didn't work for me, and the floats lacked the kinetic energy that I enjoyed from the previous parade. Everything was so stagnant... like, with the ET float, Why weren't they even pretending to pedal on the bikes??? I love the IPs included but overall this fell flat for me. Another thing that bugged me was when Johnny was banging the fake piano there wasn't a reason to. They literally had ZERO music from SING happening that could've allowed him to have a piano bit to "play". Most of the performers seemed bored, uninspiried and like they didn't actually want to be there... The only one I saw who didn't was that one from the BTTF segment who was like, "HIGH FIVE! YEAH!!" At least she was into it. Give her a raise.
Why would they let the public see a rehearsal? Disney never does that. They rehearse their parades and shows at night and in rehearsal spaces. Never in front of guests.
I liked it. It was fine for me. And that wasent all the floats. There is more to come so thats good to hear. Here i thought this was gonna be a year round deal. Hope it is
The floats themselves look amazing, and the dancers are excellent. But there isn’t much going on each float. Barely any movement outside of a performer waving, or an animatronic. Hope it gets better as the year goes on.
Felt the first half was a little lackluster as the floats all had the same basic design but the second half was great. Maybe they need to mix up the order of the floats some.
so many thoughts: all in all i think there is a lot of potential, but it needs so much more! the floats LOOK great, but they neeeed more animation, more sound effects and lights. there needs to be more animation from the characters than just waving and they all need more dancers in between, it looks so awkward from float to float. also the music is not loud and coherent enough. i have a lot of ideas to pimp this ride! i also wouldn't mind additions from the mummy or classic monsters, or maybe king kong and harry potter. generally it was nice to see BTTF, GB, JAWS and JURASSIC, but yeah, it needs tweaking to become an actual parade.
I liked the minions float they had two years ago. Why didn't they use that? Also why didn't they use the spongebob float they also had? They had awesome floats from 2 years ago and didn't even use them. Parade looks okay, but they need to organize the performers and bring it to life. Jurassic Park float needs walking raptors and other dinosaurs. Ghostbusters needs led lights coming from their proton blasters. Back to the Future needs a fog machine
The jaws float was the best , big time fan of jaws summer of 1997, I remember seeing the mechanical jaws behind studio 18 would love to go back again the jaws ride and king Kong were the best great video❤
Bro as a Disney fan myself, I can see all the Disney fan haters in the comments. These floats are GORGEOUS! The details on them are amazing, Universal is just not stopping in creating new work. New rides and theme parks within the US. Disney hasn't shown that much love in many years. I feel they just need a few more moving parts possibly on each float and people in between the floats either as characters or more dancers, then it will be great. Disney parades are just as empty, to where they allow guests to move across the street for a solid 2 minutes before the next float shows up.
Pity this wasn't going on at universal studios when I was there last year. Once all the kinks are worked out, this is going to be a huge attraction for sure. Pity they don't have a horror parade during horror nights. Cut out some of the scar zones and create a horror parade
I hope they add their own sword and sorcery characters like Conan the Barbarian, Valeria, Bowen and Kara from Dragonheart, Snow White and Eric the Huntsman and the Evil Queen Ravenna!
The floats and float characters look great. Some of the dancers and people walking around look a little unprofessional, though. Their dancing and costumes could be better.
Most of the time I just saw performers walk. Is there speakers on the sides of the street to enhance the float music? I could not hear any music only from the floats. Opening float, music, costumes, and dance a very generic. The opening was a bore for me. I felt the dancing, costumes could be better. I dont need to see this live, this video was good enough for me ha ha good attempt though. Just not for me. They need a new show director to bring in some fun to the parade and maybe a new theme song for the parade. That opening was a snooze.
This parade needs work. Costumes are ordinary, the floats could be more elaborate and animated. And the performers on the floats could be doing more than just stand there and wave. All in all, a disjointed mess. Not even “Funkytown” on the minions float could add some life to this parade. Plus the employees in green polos walking by the side of floats are adding to the problem because they’re obviously not part of the show. They’re distracting and block the floats from being photographed. The T. rex is fun and probably the only thing worth seeing here. 2 1/2 stars out of five.
@@maximusprime3459 i’m just saying if people used their common sense instead of complaining for the sake of it then they would know it’s not the finished product 🤣
Thank you for posting the video.I like it❤I would love to go see this parade, but I'm in Japan so it's not possible. I will watch this video every day.
My nostalgic feels!!!!!😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤ Also, I know the parade itself has to be 15-20 mins long even though 10 floats are enough, but I'm predicting if there should be more floats added to the parade: 1. Universal Monsters (including Beetlejuice if possible) float 2. The Mummy float 3. King Kong float
It looks good, but I think each float should represent a scene from the movie. With that each one should have effects, or stunts. That would make it so amazing
They definitely knew what they were doing saving the JAWS and Jurassic Park/World floats for last, oh my GOD. The t-rex was done so well, the saliva goop in their jaw really sold it!
I like a lot of the intellectual properties, but was underwhelmed. As others have stated, it looked boring. I wonder if it will work better as a nighttime parade with lights. Sticking to what I saw, I think Gozer, the shark, and the T-Rex came across as unnecessarily sterile. Constantly interlacing the music with Universal pictures opening theme felt incredibly stale. The non float performers were hit and miss. The overreliance on movie sound bites didn't always land either.
Fantastic parade. Two nitpicks 1. Lil disappointing that this Jurassic World segment doesn't live up to the one in the nighttime parade they have overseas. Think we were all imagining something more like that... 2. They REALLY screwed themselves over making it a "movie" themed parade. This would've been a fantastic opertunity to give the Nintendo characters a parade segment, again like overseas, where in Japan's no limit parade they have an awesome mario kart segment. Would it be in the correct park? No, but it wouldn't matter, it's not like Jurassic World is in the Studios park either. Would've been fun
Not sure the extent they are able to use Nintendo characters in this park for stuff like that. Some of it may be the license with Nintendo and what they allow them to do in each park. Parades and characters may be limited to Epic Universe for the time being.
@@MrMac1138yea that is very likely. They could still put it in a movie parade since there was the Mario movie and it had a Mario Kart segment to it too
I watched it last night and the Ghostbusters float had to be removed when it tried to come out and there was no back to the future float and the first float came out but the screen wasn’t working. but with that being said, the parade was amazing. Love it
@@KatMusic2009 we only could see the front of it because I was at the beginning where the annual pass holders sit and it didn’t make it out of the doorway, it hit the side, backed up and couldn’t make it out so they backed it up and let the others go. So I didn’t see him but he may have been there.
I hope that when they finish tech rehearsal they have the T- Rex puppeteers interact with the audience more by looking around in between sound queues to add more movement and visuals to the show
Is that the donkey kong country credits song playing between each vehicle? Its just a fragment of the song tho. If so, its probably part of the soundtrack of the new area in Japan and Florida.

2 1/2 stars out of five.
good job it was a test run then isn’t it
Thanks for your input Simon Cowell🙄
@@maximusprime3459 i’m just saying if people used their common sense instead of complaining for the sake of it then they would know it’s not the finished product 🤣
Ok this was a good parade... loved the TRex...
Thank you for posting the video.I like it❤I would love to go see this parade, but I'm in Japan so it's not possible. I will watch this video every day.
The Jaws float stole the show with the mayor in the front asking people if they’re going for a swim!
What a fun parade! Thank you for this video!
Was concerned after the first float that each one would just be a screen, which would be very Universal.
Seriously. Most of their rollercoasters are basically screens with a simulator.
Okay. Parade is for Disney.
My nostalgic feels!!!!!😢😢😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤
Also, I know the parade itself has to be 15-20 mins long even though 10 floats are enough, but I'm predicting if there should be more floats added to the parade:
1. Universal Monsters (including Beetlejuice if possible) float
2. The Mummy float
What a boring 'parade'!!
Two nitpicks
They could still put it in a movie parade since there was the Mario movie and it had a Mario Kart segment to it too
Hey where’s the DeLorean Time Machine from Back To The Future?!
On the BTTF float!
I watched it last night and the Ghostbusters float had to be removed when it tried to come out and there was no back to the future float and the first float came out but the screen wasn’t working. but with that being said, the parade was amazing. Love it
No Slimer on the float?
@@KatMusic2009 we only could see the front of it because I was at the beginning where the annual pass holders sit and it didn’t make it out of the doorway, it hit the side, backed up and couldn’t make it out so they backed it up and let the others go. So I didn’t see him but he may have been there.
That first float is a mess
I hope that when they finish tech rehearsal they have the T- Rex puppeteers interact with the audience more by looking around in between sound queues to add more movement and visuals to the show

Subscribed and liked and the bell is on.
I hope they include the Mummy
I hope so with Van Helsing and Anna!
That was gosh darn glorious! I generally don’t love the parades that either park does, but this was GREAT!
Looked extremely disappointing
it was a TEST run, certain parts aren’t fully done and i’m sure after the test run was done they’ll realise what they need to add & fix
As a huge Jurassic fan, hearing the T-Rex having the Indominus Rex noises was just sad
Hey😃it’s Rick & Nikki in your opening shot👍🏼
Is that the donkey kong country credits song playing between each vehicle? Its just a fragment of the song tho. If so, its probably part of the soundtrack of the new area in Japan and Florida.
Can you point to a specific timestamp where it is heard?
No that is the Universal Studios theme song.
@@TheBitBlock didn't expect to see you here Josh haha
@@gameplayxtreme3389 Howdy. I've been excited for this parade since the start of the year when rumors were stirring. Universal did great with it. THAT JAWS SECTION!! :D
I am so loving this. I wish they had this in Hollywood.
End date?
Late November
@@moneygrabbercodswollop8133 Brilliant, thanks, we don’t arrive there until October 15.
