      I hope it does work, I don't see this much an issue for the newer laptops since usually its disabled by default mostly.

    Holy shit... I"ve had issues with my Dell Thunderbolt tb15 since I took it out of the box, have been updating drivers, bios.. uninstalling reinstalling and even re installed windows (for other reasons) never knew I had to open the stupid thunderbolt software and "approve" or set to "Always connect" Now all my USB devices and audio work.... You'd think that would just be by default. I mean it's a port rep and this is it's sole purpose. Thank you.

    Thanks, this worked for me. When I connected the thunderbolt Dock to the laptop a notification popped up saying something like 'click here to enable this device'.
    But when I clicked the notification nothing happened. I didn't realise there was a option under hidden icons to click on to allow the connection. Thanks again 👍

    I’m sure he can see what he’s doing, but no one else can see what he’s doing. Add to that he’s not describing clearly what it is he’s clicking on or launching or answering in the prompts. How does anyone else understand what he’s doing?

    Hello. I have Lenovo yoga 7 pro, ryzen 7 7735hs. EGPU gets detected when i use 0.5m supplied tb3 cable. But, When i connect my 2m Belkin tb4 cable it doesn't get detected and shows slow charging. Any solution?
    PS: 2m cable works fine on my friend lenovo laptop yoga (ryzen 8840hs) and my old samsung galaxy book.

    I am wondering if you have experience with "HP Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2" connecting to "Dell XPS 9360". The thunderbolt port and DP ports for external monitor seems not working for me while USB ports are fine.

      Check in the Intel thunderbolt software (usually a lightning looking icon in the system tray) in Windows and look at authorizing the dock.

    • @paulzhu7444
      @paulzhu7444 4 года назад

      @@BsianTech I have set everything in BIOS already so not need to authorize, same settings work with my "Dell thunderbolt dock TB16", but not with HP dock (intel thunderbolt software doesn't even show up while showing up with Dell dock). I am wondering if Dell XPS has limited itself from non-dell brand docks.

    • @BsianTech
      @BsianTech  4 года назад +1

      @@paulzhu7444 Dell shouldn't have limited themselves to non-Dell brand docks, I have used Lenovo docks plenty of times on Dell Latitudes range and work fine. I would be looking at the HP dock if it works with other computers too, if it having power issue or not?

    • @paulzhu7444
      @paulzhu7444 4 года назад +1

      BsianDad just worked it out. “No security “ did not work for me, had to use “user authorisation”, then in intel thunderbolt software to authorise the dock. Did firmware update as well after that. Cheers mate.
