Perpetual calendars from most brands lose value because the consumer numbers are smaller. A time/date IWC doesn't lose relitively that much value, The IWC pilot F1 watch for example sells above retail on grey market.
Kangaroo dollars 😤😤😤 Yes, some great value on the seconds market for this very specific niche. But personally I prefer this new simpler and more legible configuration - thanks for watching, Andrew
The green dial on the small seconds sub-dial version is just sublime. Not too bright, not too olive. It’s beautiful. I encourage everyone to visit an IWC boutique and see one in person. It’s a gorgeous watch.
The IWC perpetual is a beautiful watch never saw it in green before. Came so close to getting it a year ago during the holidays but the AD got greedy and wouldn't give a 10% discount so I walked away. Now with interest rates and the market in the tank I will probably not revisit getting it until everything calm down. I have a feeling the ADs in general this holiday season won't be so greedy. 🙃
Don’t get me wrong I like a nice blue or green dial but come on there’s so many other great colours out there - let’s have some more purples or dark aubergine 🍆 etc
As always, great solid no-nonsense review. Presented as a conversation in top form. I would say you are one of the best MCs for watches anywhere. Cheers
Dresswatch with 42mm and 50 lug to lug is definetely not wearable. A watch like this should not be bigger than 39, otherwise it looks really inappropriate for a dress watch. Take a look at JLC, it is possible.
I just bought my green dial watch. No IWC, but to keep on subject, it is a watch from the Richemont group. I confess, i wore green cloth today. My watch have a black strap, and i consider to put a green strap on it.
How can you say it is is new more affordable PC?? Compare it to a Jaeger Lecoultre or a frederic constant… 22k USD is only cheap compared to a Lange or a Patek…
@@Hans-Georg_Buddne Absolutely the JLC is smaller and super wearable but a significant higher price. Would consider this IWC if only my wrist is bigger than 7".
@@Hans-Georg_Buddne yes and no - the Portuguese is large by design and by backstory - it’s evolved into a dressy piece but has a very different purpose in its birth story
You can easily buy a used gold Portuguese Perpetual Calendar for
Agree. In would never buy brand new iwc again.

@@bdegrds I agree. My point is, this channel calling the new Perpetual Calendar a strong value at $35k is not truthful.

The 40mm is probably one of the best looking watches ever made, absolutely stunning
A classic, recognisable across the room

IWC has had 2 price increases since then so you should of jumped on it
@@bdegrds not for a watch that will lose you money the minute you walk out of the store.
I bought both, because I can.

What outstanding dial finishes and new perpetual calendar layout is very welcomed. Great review of the new novelties from IWC.
Thanks Mr G you stylish legend 🤘🏻

Top quality and beautiful!
Green perpetual - just stunning. Wow.
Those perpetual calendar is just stunning and easily could be a one watch collection daily wear watch.
Finally, yes, the little changes make a bigggg difference 👏🏻
35k. Not small biccies.

I’m in the yes and no category for this one. Although 42 mm is big for a dress watch, IWC Portugieser history has always been big.
Please explain a bit more on pelaton winding system. This is new term in this long journey. Thank you.

The Perpetual Calendar is stunning
Isn’t it just - looks like a three reg chrono but no

Christmas socks 😂
Love these. I have the Portofino Chrono in green and absolutely adore it. Will have to check these out too
Video doesn’t do dial justice, do it
Not at all, people have to see these in person
Comment section of a watch channel that isnt full of stupid comments! Miracles do happen!
Thank you for the lug to lug!
Stunning watches but for Perpetual calendar it's a headache when it comes to adjust the time.
Gorgeous

Green shoes, green socks, green shirt, green dial, green beans for dinner... you would never be accused of not matching, nice watch, love it 💚
Matchy matchy matchy 😅
@@Timeandtidewatches love the channel! Great work
what are the reference numbers for these watches?
Is this the same shade of green as on all the pilot‘s watches?
That is a lovely green dial.
I’d like to see yellow gold versions of them!
Beautiful dials and an incredibly affordable perpetual calendar.
Beautiful! Personally, I would also love to see a salmon dial 😀
Isn't the JLC perpetual slightly smaller and like 5k cheaper?
Nope, he mentioned MSRP 35k Australian dollars which is about USD25k which is about 7k cheaper than the JLC MSRP.
@@donaldneo4317 ahhh I mis heard that then thanks!
JLC does manage to make this in an actually wearable case size though. 42mm for a dresswatch is ridiculous.

There is no caseback shot of the perpetual ?
did they make a Lebanon version?
More affordable?
Nice kicks mate.
Love the green sunburst dial. It's a winner...thx T&T ...keep 'em coming....
