Sorry, this video is so similar to the video prior. I just know a lot of people will be looking for a miner like this specifically for the overworld instead of the nether so I figured 2 separate videos would be a good idea :)
This is a good tunneling machine but a really inefficient and costly (early game) miner, 21 deplorers doing the same job that could have been done with 8. As if it wasn't bad enough, you don't have to glue the chassis together, they do that anyway once they're facing the same direction
For anyone making this in 1.19.2 with create v0.5 that can't get the deployers to stick with the machine, here's the fix: You need to place all of your deployers then use your super glue after. So place your deployers, hold your glue, then right click on one of the deployers and look at another one. A green box will appear, Make sure this green box only includes your deployers, and not any of the side blocks. Then for the top / bottom 3 do the exact same thing, making a super glue box from the first to the third deployer, then right click the middle one, and click the deployer above that. You should be left with a big green outline going over every single deployer. Happy mining!
Despite the fact that this was uploaded 5 months ago, this was very helpful, even with the current changes to Create. 1 small problem I’ve encountered on my use of this is that we ran into a mineshaft where a fence lined up underneath the minecart tracks and stopped it. This could probably be fixed by placing a drill infront of the bottom center deployer’s place location, but I still wanted to share this small weaknesses I found.
The autominer is always one of the first things I'm building with create, so useful especially early game to get all the resources. But never thought about the deployers creating a protective tunnel, this is genius!! Thanks for the great tutorials and contents in general
I attempted to make a miner similar to this in my survival, and I forgot to lock rotation on the assembler. Let me tell you that I was confused when I turned it on and got flung into a tree about 50 blocks away from the miner! Did it 2 times in a row, actually... but after that I learnt my lesson. This was a great video, by the way! Has a TON of good information.
i love the drill! one recommendation for others: using a furnace minecart lets the drill keep going at full speed by just eating up a bit of the coal it mines!
+1 on the furnace minecart, you won't need the controller rail, also build it with the cart assembler one block back to give you a bit of a buffer on the rail placement, I found it runs much faster and consistently this way.

I'm thinking of putting the seat closer to the front near the rails to make it easier to place the cart assembler to stop it whenever i want 2) can you glue glow stone, sea lanterns and/or end rods to it? 3) can you set a deployer on one part of it to automatically place torches and other light sources?
for those playing in 1.19.2 and are using it to mine for diamonds at -59 then you can remove the bottom layer of deployers that help create the tunnel and remove the issue he shows about it stopping when you first launch it because of the holes in the floor.
If you want the machine to go quicker use powered rails and have a second deploy which places redstone torches next to it and a second plough to break the torches
Just a tip, you don't actually need to put superglue on the Linear Chassis holding the drills. Using a slime ball on them will make them sticky, then just set their range to 1 and it will hold on to the drills without using any superglue or consuming the slime ball you used on them.

Yea, I had the same problem tooo so what I did was replace the minecart with a furnace minecart so then you don't need the controller rail, you can just right click with coal on the furnace minecart, but you do have to put some coal in one of the chests so that it can use it as fuel, and one more thing, if you did make this change, you don't have to use the cart assembler to start it, just place a normal rail, place your contraption, and right click with coal to start, and you won't face the problem of the deployers making a hole..

if you mine through gravel with lava or water on it it will fail. to fix this move the top three deployers back 4 blocks from where they are in the vid. the drill will break all the falling gravel and the deployers now behind the drills will fill in the space when it moves leaving no holes in the roof. messed around in creative to figure this out

So I think you're able to fix that problem where it runs into a hole when you start it off if you were to move the bottom three placers to behind the drills facing downwards like the rail one is and then pushing the rail placement back a row as well
It's the minecart slowing down. Similar to how you lose momentum on minecarts with no powered rail. Just replace the minecart with a minecart with furnace and fuel it with coal. You can also put a some coal inside the chests since it auto picks it up when it needs more fuel. You won't need the powered rail for that anymore.
@@CelabroSpace Extend the linear chassis by one block. So it gives the rail deployer time to place them. So as it moves, the rail will be placed, then after 1 or 2 empty blocks, the cart will pass through it. If the deployer is too close to the minecart it'll sometimes not place the rail as its going too fast. So it's necessary to give space between the minecart and deployer. Or if the above doesn't work out for you, just use a normal minecart and manually speed the miner when it slows down by picking it up, and placing a powered rail and cart assembler again, just like the start. That's all I can think of lol
Currently having an issue where my contraption is only moving the opposite direction than I want it to go no matter how I build it, any ideas for a fix?
I had the same problem, then I saw that when I place the controller rail I used to place it backwards, you csn see when its place two arrows which show which direction it gives. Hopes it helps you
Tony, you need to give trust to the deployer (usually same place where you add friends to the trust list in your claimed chunks). If you are on a very populated server, could be tricky to see what deployer is your, because you will see all deployers/itemusers etc from other people too
@@rockit14 Hi rockit, i actually added my own thing to make it faster, to the side of the harvester that picks the rails up I put a deployer that places redstone torches and I changed the normal rails to powered ones and behind the chair area I put two more chassis then another harvester to pick up the redstone torches, so basically its always powered and goes forever, Great build btw, really helped me get a lot of resources. Hi, I know this video is a year old at this point so it may be outdated (I hope not because this is a great contraption!). The issue that occurs when first running the machine seems to be constantly repeating itself no matter how many times i fill in the 3 blocks and restart the machine.... am I doing something wrong or was there a patch to the mod that no longer allows this machine to work?
my current fix for any who may read this is to have the machine work on bedrock level, as it is much more unlikely to run into lava on the ground, so I got rid of the 3 deployers on the bottom side that caused this issue in the first place
Having the same issue, contraption will only face original direction for me. If this is common, could name tags be applied to the contraption, and simply just build one each for the cardinal directions?
Is there a way to make it automatically place torches behind you every few blocks? I'd kinda like to just go completely afk for a while as it works, but I don't want it to be dark.

Good call! Didn't even think of this!
Idk if its just me but there isnt usually a download link to minecraft in the description.
HELP ME WHEN I PLACE THE CART IN THE RAIL IT IS PLACED IN THE OPPOSITE SIDE (the miner) help me :(
Hey rockit quick question why is this one Ep 22. shouldn't be Ep 24.
Also, isn’t this episode 25?
he says 24 at the begining
edit: he skipped episode 23 xD
For some reason it starts slowing down for me. Do you know what might be the problem?
It's the minecart slowing down. Similar to how you lose momentum on minecarts with no powered rail. Just replace the minecart with a minecart with furnace and fuel it with coal. You can also put a some coal inside the chests since it auto picks it up when it needs more fuel. You won't need the powered rail for that anymore.
Thank uuu!!!
@@itsnotpan. Yeah so it now goes so fast that it doesnt have enough time to put the rails down...
@@itsnotpan. I didn't even know that you responded before, but thanks for everything!
Can anyone tell me why when I place mine down it places it perpendicular to the rail under the cart assembler instead of facing the same way
Guys i was jebaited, i thought this was an auto miner, but it's just a regular minecart miner
Currently having an issue where my contraption is only moving the opposite direction than I want it to go no matter how I build it, any ideas for a fix?
I had the same problem, then I saw that when I place the controller rail I used to place it backwards, you csn see when its place two arrows which show which direction it gives. Hopes it helps you
So, I tried to do this for some reason it works in the surface but it doesn't work underground, it won't put the rails for it to go on.
Ask him on discord for help!
@@usefullname_ I figured it out, but thank you for the tip. Apparently it can't place the rails if its in claimed territory.
Tony, you need to give trust to the deployer (usually same place where you add friends to the trust list in your claimed chunks). If you are on a very populated server, could be tricky to see what deployer is your, because you will see all deployers/itemusers etc from other people too
Farm : needs glue
Me need to make an underground mining machine to clear a space and get slime for glue : well...
You can craft slime with dough and dye :)
it runs out of speed kinda fast, is there any way to make it last longer?
Yup place coal Minecart and spam coal - it will go for much longer!
@@rockit14 what is a coal minecart? or am i just dumb
Thanks have a nice day!
@@shaunkaz7987 How did you get your deployer to place the rails straight? Mine keeps placing them sideways and stopping the whole machine
@@2kid1 make sure you set the cart assembler to locked rotation
This is a good tunneling machine but a really inefficient and costly (early game) miner, 21 deplorers doing the same job that could have been done with 8. As if it wasn't bad enough, you don't have to glue the chassis together, they do that anyway once they're facing the same direction
"The machine can spin around and it can kill you"
MonkaS
i made a drill that goes straight down using a rope pulley 9 drills and 9 linear chasis
Great video, simplified everything but my only issue is I can't pick up my contraption with the wrench. I did exactly as said but it only picks up the cart assembler..
you have to turn it on first. then shift click the minecart
I've got a problem where only 1 of the chests fill up before it stops and I really have no idea why. I've followed the tutorial block by block and it's still screwy
Can you make it bigger than 3x3?
Of course just move your deployers, add more drills, and super glue :)
@@rockit14 So I can have a 15x15 drill in theory?
@@boyothebird8942 yup! Totally could do it :)
it is a good concept but it runs out of speed really fast
Simply use a coal Minecart and spam coal - then it will go for much longer :)
@@rockit14 Hey! Really helpful tutorials! Hope I can get a quick reply on this.
Should the fuirnace minecart be on the cart assembler or behind it?
Your content is great man, however you love to cut videos out, I suggest you fast forward instead so your videos doesn't look staged (even if it's really not). your 3 seconds ff x32 is better than 1 second video cut
Hey guys found a glitch where, if you try to build on the Z axis (ie West & East) your very first deployer won't place the rails to get it to move.
You can tell by what direction you had the rail filter on said deployer
Omg thank you so much I spent hours trying to figure it out
sooo, how do i get the ore out of this machine? you can't access the chests.
EDIT: NVM, i'm stupid
I am also stupid as I can't figure this out! I can't click on the chests? Whats the fix!?
I have a problem that after a while it will slow to a stop. Is there any way to keep giving it speed?
Yea, I had the same problem tooo so what I did was replace the minecart with a furnace minecart so then you don't need the controller rail, you can just right click with coal on the furnace minecart, but you do have to put some coal in one of the chests so that it can use it as fuel, and one more thing, if you did make this change, you don't have to use the cart assembler to start it, just place a normal rail, place your contraption, and right click with coal to start, and you won't face the problem of the deployers making a hole..
@@niteshrdipali Thanks
I can't rotate it. It can only go the direction that I built it in
Hi, I know this video is a year old at this point so it may be outdated (I hope not because this is a great contraption!). The issue that occurs when first running the machine seems to be constantly repeating itself no matter how many times i fill in the 3 blocks and restart the machine.... am I doing something wrong or was there a patch to the mod that no longer allows this machine to work?
my current fix for any who may read this is to have the machine work on bedrock level, as it is much more unlikely to run into lava on the ground, so I got rid of the 3 deployers on the bottom side that caused this issue in the first place
same
What shaders are you using i would love to know. Great video this is very helpful 😁
Haha thanks Freddy! And I am using BSL shaders :)
is there a way to change the direction the drill is going? i made it facing positive Z and now i can only place it that way
Having the same issue, contraption will only face original direction for me. If this is common, could name tags be applied to the contraption, and simply just build one each for the cardinal directions?
great, how do you stop it?
Is there a way to make it automatically place torches behind you every few blocks? I'd kinda like to just go completely afk for a while as it works, but I don't want it to be dark.
How do you pick up items from its chest, destroy the minecart?
