Her Scottish accent isn't accurate at all because Scottish accent is far more focused on slang. It doesn't even sound like the stereotypical way people think we talk which is normally over exaggerated but decent enough.

Ram kumar being legally blind is different from being completely blind, there’s a chance she could have still read print notes, or if her visual acuity is too low, she still could have read braille. Although the notes aren’t even really necessary for a video like this. And voiceover could have still allowed her to read your comment either way, that’s how I read yours. I feel like old southern is really only in parts of Georgia (where I’m from) and Florida now, definitely not in Alabama. It is sad since it is dying out, we should revive it.
There should be an accent linguist (are those a thing? As in, instead of studying Cantonese, Navajo or Zulu, they might study Cockney, Southern Belle, Medieval English... accents, e.g. noting their phonologies for if there was, say, a film set in the American South around the turn of the 20th century, when the old southern accent would be more prevalent, so that the actors could then learn that accent to play the characters accurately) who records this so even when the last natural speaker dies out, people can reintroduce it in the future
I wouldn't say 32 more like 3/4 (Southern, Western which sounds like Souhtern too, Northern and Eastern being more Dublin sounding) which are blended with others in various stengths depending on which county you're in

I don't speak Russian but that didn't sound like a Russian accent. It was vaguely Eastern European. I do have some French and German, and her attempts were almost parodies of the real thing. Perhaps if she learnt a foreign language it would help, although that might be a bit of a challenge with impaired sight.

You're very talented. I'm Irish and you have a good grasp in general. As with all accents it's difficult to be specific until you go to a particular region and get insight from the natives. To my ear the accents I'm not as familiar with sound amazing and of course those closer to home I'd say need more finesse. Each country/state encompasses hundreds of dialects so you're giving a general overview. As a dialect coach, you're obviously well aware of this. My comment is more for those less knowledgeable on the subject who feel the need to troll. I would love to see more videos of you teaching accents.

People are saying that people don't sound like that where they live and then they also say there are different dialects. If there are different dialects then you don't know if she is speaking like one of those. To me she did really good to not be a native speaker from those countries.
Meow Hunter London is a city, and natively has only a few dialects. She's got too much coming through the nose, like an American would speak. But her tips are amazing for every language. But she's a dialect coach, so being given critical feedback might be useful to her career.
No, if people are saying there's different dialects, it's because they're aware of those accents. Take her UK and Ireland accents for example, they're very generalised and what an American thinks people from those places sounds like when in fact there are dozens of accents within those places.

I think this was really brilliant actually. not sure that I agree with what she said about the German one (in my experience: never change pitch, be quite monotone, always say haff instead of have and isss instead of iz for is because they never stress the last syllable, usually say de instead of the, nowadays only old ppl say ze, and then do a complete mix of American and British vowel sounds and never link words.)
That's also what I thought. Germans have more problems with pronouncing the th sounds. Also I don't feel like German accents are similar to French because the German and the French pronunciation are basically the opposite of each other. French is kinda more fluffy and soft, if you understand what I mean, and in German we pronounce every letter and have very hard sounds.. Just my opinion as a German🤔

Pretty good girl. I am a dialect and voice (singing) coach. The "older" southern you speak of is called the "Hollywood" Southern accent since it never existed in the Southern states but was prolific in one Western state.
Qahs there's plenty like a northern accent, a Dublin accent, the middle of Ireland they speak super fast and ramble a lot and then there's cork/Kerry/limerick accent which is very distinctive
Evelyn O'Connell her Midwest accent sounds like a mix of upper Michigan and a valley girl. More emphasis on the valley girl. I've lived in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and have a lot of family in Illinois and travel to Michigan fairly regularly. Her accent is basically an insult.

Been living in Berlin for 7 years and I noticed that Germans, more so West Germans, have become aware of this and try to "owercompensate" by "conwerting" all their v' s into w's. They'll also wroll their r's excessively and "fletten" (flatten) their barking a's into e's in order to sound more "emewrrrrican".

I've definitely heard it from older people in Tennessee, my godmother speaks like that, though it's maybe a little more mixed with the southern

You're very talented. I'm Irish and you have a good grasp in general. As with all accents it's difficult to be specific until you go to a particular region and get insight from the natives. To my ear the accents I'm not as familiar with sound amazing and of course those closer to home I'd say need more finesse. Each country/state encompasses hundreds of dialects so you're giving a general overview. As a dialect coach, you're obviously well aware of this. My comment is more for those less knowledgeable on the subject who feel the need to troll. I would love to see more videos of you teaching accents.

In this kind of videos, teaching people languages, quality of audio is critically important.
People are saying that people don't sound like that where they live and then they also say there are different dialects. If there are different dialects then you don't know if she is speaking like one of those. To me she did really good to not be a native speaker from those countries.
Meow Hunter London is a city, and natively has only a few dialects. She's got too much coming through the nose, like an American would speak. But her tips are amazing for every language. But she's a dialect coach, so being given critical feedback might be useful to her career.

No, if people are saying there's different dialects, it's because they're aware of those accents. Take her UK and Ireland accents for example, they're very generalised and what an American thinks people from those places sounds like when in fact there are dozens of accents within those places.

I think this was really brilliant actually. not sure that I agree with what she said about the German one (in my experience: never change pitch, be quite monotone, always say haff instead of have and isss instead of iz for is because they never stress the last syllable, usually say de instead of the, nowadays only old ppl say ze, and then do a complete mix of American and British vowel sounds and never link words.)
That's also what I thought. Germans have more problems with pronouncing the th sounds. Also I don't feel like German accents are similar to French because the German and the French pronunciation are basically the opposite of each other.
French is kinda more fluffy and soft, if you understand what I mean, and in German we pronounce every letter and have very hard sounds..

Elle a imité que dalle et en serait incapable puisque les anglophones galèrent à prononcer les r, ensuite il aurait été drôle d'imiter un collégien qui tente d'apprendre l'anglais mais avec une prononciation dégueulasse. Bien sûr évidemment qu'elle n'a pas le temps de bien faire chacun des accents présentés en moins de 4 minutes, mais bon laissez tomber je servirai seulement à tout juste vous divertir 10 secondes le temps que vous répondiez par un : "didn't read lol " ou vos conneries plus haut. On every video about language or culture, there's always a whole bunch of people in the comment section, "that didn't sound like (accent) but nice try", or "that's not true it's a stereotype" it's so annoying.

Pretty good girl. I am a dialect and voice (singing) coach. The "older" southern you speak of is called the "Hollywood" Southern accent since it never existed in the Southern states but was prolific in one Western state.

Been living in Berlin for 7 years and I noticed that Germans, more so West Germans, have become aware of this and try to "owercompensate" by "conwerting" all their v' s into w's. They'll also wroll their r's excessively and "fletten" (flatten) their barking a's into e's in order to sound more "emewrrrrican".
