MC warned after G2 that Ding should’ve played and push his tiny advantage. Not pushing for wins (especially w white pieces) would be disastrous because it allows G to calm his nerves and go for way more aggressive attack.
G4, similar to G2 - kind of a nothing game and Ding was wayyy too eager to trade down and take the draw.

I’d really like to see Gukesh get a win in game five with the white pieces and gain a lead in this event . I think there’s a good possibility he’s going to play aggressively in the next game . I hope so Thanks Agadmator for the game suggestion # Agadmator vs Lichess opponent have a great day 😊♟️‼️

Well game 5 just finished in a draw. Gukesh managed to save a difficult ending. Moral victory for Ding, he once again caused huge problems for Gukesh with the French defense. I think Gukesh will have to stop playing e4 for the rest of the match.

King Ding needs to do his own thing! Instead of trying something off-beat to confuse Guker, he should just stay aggressive like he did against Capt. Nepo by going into main lines THEN add something offbeat, imo. He tried something new too early in game and it didn't work is what I'm trying to say.

I'm a great fan of the classic Croatian, or the plain 'Hello everyone' opening. However, the so called more agressive 'Loud Beat' variation, is something that modern players seem to prefer nowadays, often not realizing that this creates a sudden awareness by the opponent to be on his or her guard, sometimes unintentionally creating more suspicious counterreactions.
    .
But ofcourse, if we let the engine crunch the numbers, we see that it is great content as always

Or a head with a green face and black eyes and a mouth? Please tell me what this figure is. I understand that the letter on top denotes what type of game it is.
