- I flew from Honolulu to Tokyo Narita with ANA(All Nippon Airways /NH) to try out the World’s Most Unique A380 ‘Flying Honu’. ANA has just three Airbus A380s. All three A380s are exclusively offered to the popular leisure route between Tokyo and Honolulu. It’s very unusual for an airline to have their A380s only operating on one route.
ANA’s three A380s were painted in a special livery depicting sea turtles which are native to Hawaii. In the Hawaiian dialect, the Sea Turtle is called “Honu” and hence ANA selected the name “Flying Honu” for this special livery.
ANA’s Honolulu lounge has very ingenious design. Because you can board here from the lounge to the upper deck of the A380 directly. There are three jet bridges, two connect the terminal gate area to the lower deck of the A380, while the third jet bridge connects the lounge to the upper deck directly. So passengers can relax and enjoy every moment in the lounge.
ANA is also adding more 'Aloha' on its Honolulu route specific experience with the IFE’s turtle illustration, menu’s orchid flowers, Hawaiian boarding music, and etc. I really enjoyed ‘the Aloha atmosphere’ from the lounge to the flight. It was a very good experience with the world’s most unique A380! :) Thanks to ANA for the hospitality and great service. Hope I can fly with this giant turtle again in the near future.

Asians are normally polite and courteous.
Probably 1 of the most polite passenger I've seen in a long while. Many passengers would demand for their choice of meal and make a big fuss if they don't get what they want, but you were willing to take up other alternative if there isn't enough for other passengers.
Thank you for appreciating the service and hospitality given by the cabin crew. Will be great to see you onboard 1 of my flight someday.

Cabin crew onboard ANA are mostly extremely friendly. I say mostly as I did experience one cabin crew who wasn't friendly to foreigners on one of their International flight. However I do think you're the most sweetest and friendly passenger. Handsome and cute too 😍

ANA FA has got to be one of the best. My recent trip to sydney, i was up for the first meal service but slept thru the second (my fault didnt tell them to wake me up). When i was up, multiple fa asked if i wanted food. I did but didnt want them to go thru all the hassle. The effort was very much apprecited. I try to fly with them every chance i get.

ANA is definitely my go to airlines whenever I fly. Both the hard and soft products offered are excellent and their cabin attendants are always so friendly. This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I feel they are sooooo much better than Qatar airways in many aspects.

How nice of her to take your picture. Some crews would have been yelling not to take any pictures whatsoever. Have never flown ANA. Did fly JAL First in 1976 and did not like the food. Even the croissants were bad.

원래 스카이마크(일본 저가항공)에서 주문했다가 경영난으로 이후 ana가 인수하면서 스카이마크에서 주문했던 a380 3대를 어거지로 인수하고 하와이컨셉으로 도장해서 하와이 전용셔틀로 돌리고 있죠. 원래 세이프티 비디오도 플라잉 호누 전용으로 따로 있었는데 바뀌었나 보네요...
넵 맞습니다. 스카이마크 때문에 타의적으로 인수하였지만, 기체 내외부에 노선에 맞는 컨셉을 적용하여 잘 활용하고 있다는 인상을 받았습니다. 하와이 노선에 특화된 서비스도 인상적이었네요. 일본인들의 하와이 사랑에 맞게 탑승률도 잘 나오고 있고요. 실제로 제가 이용한 두 편(NRT-HNL / HNL-NRT) 모두 500석이 넘는 A380이 만석이었습니다. 날씨가 연일 폭염이 계속되네요. 건강 잘 챙기시고 즐거운 8월 보내세요😊

이 거북이도 제 버킷리스트중 하난데 꼭 타보고 싶습니다. 비즈는 더룸이 아니고 787이랑 같은 스태거드 타입이군요. 전 최근에 ANA 비즈로 자카르타 왕복을 했는데 왕복 다 좌석USB 포트가 고장나서 콘센트로 폰 충전을 했지만 사과 메일 외엔 적절한 보상을 받지 못했었네요.
ㄹㄹㄹ님 이번 영상도 봐주셔서 감사합니다👍 ANA A380은 저도 몇 년 동안 버킷리스트였는데, 이번에 드디어 타볼 수 있었네요. ANA는 더룸 도입 시기와 비슷할 때 A380을 도입했는데, 아쉽게도 더룸을 A380에 적용하지 않았습니다. 도쿄-하와이가 수요가 매우 높은 노선이다보니, 최대한 많은 좌석을 넣기 위해 더룸을 도입하지 않은 것 같습니다. 또한, 더룸은 좌우 폭이 넓다 보니 A380 어퍼덱에는 더룸을 넣기가 어려운 구조이기도 합니다.
USB포트가 고장 나서 어려움이 있으셨군요.. 저는 USB와 콘센트 모두가 고장 나서 충전을 전혀하지 못한 경험이 싱가포르항공 미주행 장거리 비행편에서 있었습니다. 그런데 기대하지도 않았는데, 항공사에서 싱가포르달러 200달러를 바우처로 보상해줘서 놀랐던 경험이 있네요.
항상 장수님 영상볼때마다 가장 기대되는 항공사가 아나항공인거 같아요 비행기 겉에 일러스트식으로 꾸미는것도 이쁘고 라운지 음식도 기내식음식이랑 거의 같을정도로 고급져 보이네요 비즈니스석인데 서비스가 타항공보다도 높은수준인거 같고 저래서 세계에서 인정한 항공사 순위에도 아나항공이 들어가나바요 한국인이지만 우리나라 항공사가 저런 서비스는 배울만 할거 같아요

I flew the same route with ANA a few years ago….so only on their 787….their service was really good….but the problem with their seat is the lack of storage space….so my belongings were scattered all over the table 😂
Looking at their catering on your flight, it seems they have gone downhill a little compare to when I flew with them ☹️

Did the flight attendant mistaken you are Chinese from Hong Kong ? Or you had flown HKG-NRT-HNL prior to this flight ?
Very unlikely since the flight attendants have access to the passengers' nationalities and they review the list of the passengers they're in charge of before departure. He probably flew from Hong Kong.

Around 1.5 million Japanese travel to Hawaii annually, with airlines enjoying consistently high load factors. ANA wanted to seek to increase significantly its share of this lucrative market with the introduction of the popular A380.

귀여운 자이언트 거북이 탑승 후기 잘 봤습니다 :) 저는 얼마전 뉴욕 하네다 Ana 더 룸 최악의 비즈니스 경험으로 Ana에 대한 환상이 와장창~ 깨져버렸네요 ㅎㅎ 지상서비스 기내서비스 기내식까지 정말 최악이었어요 >.< 아시아나와는 비교할 수조차 없었고, 터키항공, 루프트한자 말레이시아항공 장거리 비즈와 비교해도 정말 별로였습니다 ㅜㅜ
olivekwon님 이번 영상도 봐주시고 댓글 남겨주셔서 감사합니다👍 ANA 더룸에서 최악의 비즈니스 경험을 하셨군요...😭 더룸은 좋은 하드웨어인데 최악의 경험을 하셨다면, 그만큼 소프트웨어 부분에서 아쉬운 점이 많으셨던 것 같습니다😭 기내식의 경우 저도 JFK 출발 비행편은 캐세이퍼시픽 일등석을 제외하면, 한번도 만족스러운 경우가 없었네요. 미국, 특히 뉴욕JFK공항 캐이터링 업체들은 정말 개선이 시급하다고 생각됩니다.
JFK공항 라운지는 저도 최근 싱가포르항공을 이용했을 때 너무 아쉽더라고요.. JFK는 터미널이 세분화되어 있다보니, 이용할 수 있는 라운지에 제약이 많아서 항상 아쉽습니다.. ANA도 JFK에서 직접 운영하는 라운지가 없다보니 아쉬운 점이 많으셨을 것 같아요.. 더룸이어서 기대가 많으셨을 텐데, 실망스러운 비행이 되셨다니 저도 너무 아쉽네요😭 다음에는 꼭 좋은 비행되시길 바랍니다!
