- I need a kitchen, so I am building my kitchen from thrift finds and pure determination.The progress is noticeable, finally! I decided to abandon all other major projects to try to make my kitchen functional. I now have a place to sleep, a tiny bathroom that kinda works, so the final necessity is a place where I can prepare food. And I'm getting there! Having this almost counter space has made me happier than I could ever imagine.

I absolutely love this video! I recently bought my first unit completely solo and it hasn't been renovated since it was built in the 70's (very cheaply). The whole kitchen was rotted out and outdated. I wanted to rescue any materials I could from it, but seeing how much mould came from it, it wasn't worth the health risk. I'm also doing a DIY renovation and am looking at sourcing as much secondhand things as I can. It's cool to see how you used this individual piece. Lil tip I've learnt when trying to move things around by yourself, a large piece of ratty material does wonders instead of those wheels! Just put the item on top of the material and then you can drag it around without damaging the furniture. Makes it glide a lot easier. Excited to see where the rest of this renovation goes

The cottage looks really nice and quaint. The fjords in the winter must be breathe taking. If you haven't finished the flooring yet, you could try an extra course sandpaper to remove the finish faster.

It looks so nice and that cabinet will give you so much organized storage! I’ve lived through two kitchen remodels, both gutted, so it’s not silly to be so excited about a worktop! I was so excited when the floor was finally done!!
Indeed! The only downside is that the drawers are a bit shallow, so kitchen tools doesn't always fit😅 But I love the look of it
You can always pull it out and use as a kitchen island too

It's March 4th in real time. When was this filmed? It's obviously not current. I like following along with some understanding of a date stamp. This appears to be from early Summer 2023 (grazing animals, flowers. You in shorts. No snow except mountaintops. A date in the description adds clarity and better perspective imo.

@@MathildeHenriksen if you want to keep natural look of the wood i would reccomend to use hard wax oil. it also natural without chemicals :)

Hi and thank you! 💛 That is a good tip, I'll keep in in mind! When I wash it is usually just warm water and a natural soap suited for wood. I'm not good with chemicals, hehe
If you take the drawers out the cabinet will be much lighter to move
