Fun fact! In the manga it is shown that Kyoya had feelings for Haruhi but put them aside because he found something “more precious”, his friend Tamaki’s happiness :) isn’t that so sweet of him awww also Kaoru sneaks the the Ootori house one day and Kyoya wakes up and Kaoru’s just chilling on kyoya’s bed and kaoru calls kyoya cute 😂💀
That was hinted in the beach episode when kyoya gets on top of haruhi on the bed. He had the urge to do it because he wanted to show her a lesson of how reckless she was when she risked her life for those girls at the beach. But haruhi knew he wouldnt because she knows hes too nice of a guy. But you can tell he likes her a little, hes just better at hiding it than his friends (this also ties into how he hides his true self from other people in a later episode). But yeah he definitely treasures his friendship with tamaki over his relationships with girls. I think all the host club members had crushes on her but it was really subtle.

To me, it seemed like they were trying to break her (since she's mentally strong) so that she would "realize" that she was "weak" and rely on them. Like, they had good intentions (to protect her) but their behavior was selfish and gross. Especially kyoya.
1:57 The fact that anybody would think that Honey would be the bottom in this relationship is utterly laughable to me. Read the manga people! Honey has a very dominant personality whenever he's not in active cutsey mode. And regardless of that, Tamaki isn't actually dominating anybody in the host club, except for either Kyoya or Haruhi, but only if they specifically request it, lol. Tamaki is like a puppy that everyone likes to tease and bully but still can't help but adore.

Ethan Kellerman their voices are different in both sub and dub, but in English it’s much more noticeable! In Japanese, Kaoru has a breathier, slightly higher and “sweeter” voice while Hikaru sounds more “boyish”. Honestly in sub sometimes I can only tell who’s who only after they’ve both spoken
@Ethan Kellerman they also part their hair differently, though you can't tell with the hats on. i also listen to their voices, kaoru's voice is higher than hikaru's.

American equivalent would be saying only Mori could make Kyouya have “bottom energy/vibes.” That’s a simplification of the term, but no one else in the club could even come close to being “dominant” in a relationship with Kyoya XD

I like Hahruhi and Renge because it would be very cute. And I like Kyoya x Tamaki's because I like angst. It's really sad when you think about it in canon. It's lightly implied in the manga that Kyoya has feelings towards Tamaki but wouldn't act on them for many reasons, so the best course of action in his eyes was to get Haruhi and Tamaki together because that's what would make Tamaki happy regardless of how Kyoya may feel.
Same ships for me. Especially since Renge was actually canonically into Haruhi after her debut episode.

Was not expecting my ship Kyoya x Kaoru. Never really shipped anyone from Ouran until four years ago when I decided to re-read the manga and noticed their interactions and every scene they were alone together. It could be a well rounded wholseome relationship
they genuinely have lovely scenes together where kyoya learns about kaorus social knowledge while kaoru listens to kyoyas book knowledge
When i reread it it kinda felt kyoya went from having a thing for tamaki to genuinely caring about kaoru

@@roseclouds5838 I felt that way too. I know he's close to all of them but they way he just opens up to Kaoru sometimes was character growth and made their moments that more special. Especially during the sports festival when he tells Kaoru "I don't need everyone to understand me just the people who already do is enough" and the whole Karou slipping into Kyoya's bed pages where Kyoya genuinely tells Kaoru to be safe as he's leaving.
At first I enjoyed Kyoya's friendship with everyone and then it moved onto their alone time until I realized "shit I ship them"
Also side note Kyoya is one hell of a friend. I need a Kyoya in my life

In my opinion the anime was meh and the only two episodes that were good are "the day Kyoya mey him" and "the door the twins opened" The manga needs an anime adaptation, sadly that's probably never going to happen since it's not really popular In Japan anymore. Maybe Bisco could make a few new chapters like the creator of fruits basket did to get people talking again

Also, YEARS AGO I came up with a mythology AU fanfic for Haruhi/Renge where Haruhi is a villager who hears of a dreadful gorgon that's been terrorizing the people, and all the men who went after her were turned to stone. Haruhi was all like "Well, I've read all about gorgons and I know that women aren't affected by them, so I'm gonna disguise myself as a boy and trick that gorgon so I can kill her for you guys".
But then she gets there, sees Renge (who tries and fails to turn her to stone) and is all like "Wait, you're the gorgon?" and Renge's all like "Yes." and Haruhi's all like "...then why are you pretty?" and Renge's all like "Wait, what? O/////O"
And then it turns out Renge was only attacking out of self-defense, maybe she restores the dudes she stoned and she and Haruhi live happily ever after the end.
