Johnny - advice after 32 years of marriage - if something makes your ‘soon to be wife’ smile that hard - you better learn to love it with a passion even if you think it is total arse. Kinda love that it was live one takes... 4 of them done in a basement room of his apartment without permission. Reason it was 4 takes was because they got shut down after the 4th take.
This was recorded live and in a location they did not have permission to perform. They only got 4 takes before being kicked out. This is the third of those takes.
Apparently four takes. Just went with the best take. They used three cameras.

Congrats on the engagement Johnny & Carly. And, Great Post. And I have heard that this was done all in 1 take. 1 recording, Ren blew this song out of the water. (Fingers crossed, praying that I am right. LOL)
Having Lyme disease for so many years without yreatment, damaged his brain,neurological systems organs, jounts and immune system. He has MCAS AND POTS which i think there is no cure for. He us better, but still has pain,fatigue and sometimes brain fog. I don't kniw the rxtent. He does brain retraining sessions, but he is bettet. Regular treatments will be dobe in July and he is going to perform at a couple shows in the UK before miving to the US. Sonewhere in West or northwest . Closer to tbe doctors than the UK.

I arrived at this video because I had someone react to ren in a live and they didn't bother with listening and spoke over what he was saying. It made me feel like crap because he and I have a lot in common from mental illness to how simikar our lives were growing up. So their insults towards his music were like insults to me. I wanted to remind myself I'm not crazy and that he is a once in a lifetime artist who deserves whatever success gis future may offer him. So I retreated here to RUclips to listen to react videos of his music so I din't feel alone.
I was diagnosed with 'manic depression' back in 1972...the stigma was real.
My own cousins and Dad ridiculed me for 'being crazy'.
I see Ren and others speaking openly about life-issues, I am filled with joy/sorrow.
Joy for the people getting help they need, sorrow for how patients were treated 'way back when'.

In an interview I saw he said they did only four or five takes - there was a conflict with his scheduled time for the use of the space this was filmed in, and it's all they could do. His production style is to do many takes, and then select the single best. But four or five takes weren't enough to get a best take from, so this is a combination of those takes. I'm pretty sure it was in his interview on the Charasmatic Voice if you want to check it out.

Technically, they did four takes. The full song end-to-end. Then they picked the one they liked best. But it’s one soundtrack, with a few camera angles.

Yes this is a love performance piece. Filmed on 4 cameras so they can get the different point of views. But yes he had to nail this performance in one take. Took 4 or 5 tries tho. Lol. But he finally nailed it. And this is the video
Love ren and the back and forth really is like what having alts/DID is like but also having followed you awhile is good to see you with a good man that loves you.
would be cool to know what type of music Johnny loves to listen to. is he a metal ,country, rap, classical or anything else type of person.
4 takes to film it, but still this performance is 1 take in total from different angled cameras. Audio is one take though.
It's a live straight-through take and I believe it was the 4th(?) take/rehearsal.
Hi Ren is a one take for the audio from 3-4 trys. they have used the audio form the first try, and use video from the other trys to change the perspectiv from the camera.
there's only one time to get the full first time impression of the whole effect of a piece of music. would you stop in the middle of foreplay with a new lover to make comments?
Pleasa say dumped him after this. Clearly nodding & got none of it unless he was stoned but still the pull this piece has should pull a tear

Ren's style of singing varies according to the type of song. He can do soulful, rock, reggae, ska, rap. If you decide not to look further that's up to you but you won't find a more versatile artist..
