I love that Ron is carrying the bass part during Jeff's solo improvs. And Jeff's solos are so very melodic.
Thank God that MI is finally putting out some of the amazing concerts that have happened there so they are not lost for future generations.
This must be in 1989 as I was there. Great times those! These guys are amazing musicians from whom I had the privilege to learn a lot. Thank you all!
So beautiful ❤❤❤! Love this! Jeff is Amazing!
Just Incredible!
The guitarist is incredible! I must check out more of his stuff
Maravilhoso...Jeff Berlin está entre os melhores baixistas do mundo.
Com certeza!
Terrific Jeff !!
jeff berlin,fantastic
this is just fantastic stuff. Berlin at the height of his powers. The whole trio thing is just perfect.
His porno mustache gives him his powers.
Great Jeff
1) There Will Never Be Another You, 2) I'll Remember April, 3) A Child Is Born
4) Blue Bossa, 5) Like Someone in Love, 6) Tenor Madness
Great Jeff!!!
Three great musicians!
Wow! incredible playing with total command. Very nice.
Jeff incroyable ...quel son et quel groove ca s appel tricoter 😂😂😂
I'll remember April, they are just that god damn good.
Whale solos
Ron is incredible.
I got rons chord melody book maybe 25 years ago this is the first time I ever heard him play, reminiscent of joe pass ya think?
I'm on a mission to transcribe all of Jeff's recorded solos. This is a good months worth of goodness! You should try it man you won't be disappointed.
Michael.. did you get to transcripe most of Jeff's solos?
@@mobass48 Yessir!
Awesome, Ron Eschete's got that Kiesel guitar prototype that will come out in 2025
Excelente Obrigado
Very impressive!! Berlin has such good note choice, in all the Jazz settings demonstrated here. Watching his right hand, he is not really a 16th note speed, player. He uses one finger then the next and often rakes with a hammer in left for fast runs, not repetitive alternating. Very different to Jaco, and probably something Jaco knew about, had on his radar.
PROVEN Wrong at 16:00 but I still stand by what I said
@@DrumSolVanIsle Berlin has great musical taste and knows when to play fast and when to hold back.
Jaco not interested in Jeff style I think
Hey Jeff. Hope is well with you.
This is so f*cking metal.
Berlin jazz bass Guitar virtuoso.
Nice !!!
10:35 What kind of beat/ rhythm is that please ? I am a noob drummer but want to learn! Thanks for sharing this amazing gig.
Quasi Latin-funk groove
Since this appears to be from the 80s is this Jeff East or West Berlin. Anyways he's a great bass player.
lol
@@wtfusheeple5383 I'm glad you appreciate my sense of humor. My wife hates it. Jeff is one of the best bass players ever. People always rave about Billy Sheehan but he bores me. I could listen to Berlin all day. Sheehan is a showman with incredible skills. Berlin is a musician.
It all starts to sound samey after a while.
21:50
Is that a bass or are you just happy to see me
Date of concert?
for real
Judging by how young Eschete and Berlin look, I'm going to say probably mid to late 80s.
By the way everything looks, I would guess around ‘86-‘87
With intro by the ever-swarthy Steve Scoville.
All very clever .. but can he play Smoke on the Water !! 😎
Who is the drummer?
Drums: Joe Brancato
