As you say a big improvement. It seems intuitive.
Thanks

Hi Derek,,, yes a big step in the right direction,, that was badly needed. But i think all screens are a safety issue,,,
More buttons is what people are looking for
I am glad someone has done this level of detail, so thank you.
The mere fact it took eight and a half minutes to cover this shows the software is over engineered and far too complex to be useful. VW has gone from something which did not work much at all in say 2022 to something which now works but requires a degree to operate. It is utterly pointless.
Hi Derek. Great video and beautiful car. Do you think CUPRA and VW will make software updates anytime soon to make their older models software more responsive and sleeker looking?
And why they didn’t put this into the ID3 when they were doing the refresh last year. Haptics on steering wheel to go in, over the next year or so, I gather from rumblings around YT.. But as others have said… screen based operation is very difficult (and potentially dangerous) on narrow, bumpy roads - might be just about Ok on the Autobahns ??
That's much better than before. Danke.
Wouldn't be hard 😅
Battery pre-heating switch? and 4 wheel tyre pressure display?
Yes and Yes
Now if only the ID4 and ID5 would get this upgrade... then Tesla should be worried
Do you know if you need your phone to run the infotainment on a Tesla? With some cars such as Polestar they run Android Automotive (Not to be confused with Android Auto) which means no messing with phones or connectivity in the car.
Until VW builds Andoid/Google into its infotainment, I'll be looking at other EVs. I'd buy the PS4 before this car for that reason.
