I started watching BookTube a few years ago. My first channels were yours, Simon Savidge, Russell's InkAndPaperBlog, and Greg's SupposedlyFun. I would tell people I only took book recommendations from gay men in their 40s. 🙂 Thanks as alway, Eric.
well, have you ever heard a negative thing about a story from any of them? their status depends on their generating excitement and positivity. you watched promotions and advertisements. All of them are just that.
Because of you . I read and loved James, Solenoid, XX, and many others . I also began buying JCO books rather than depending 100% on the Library system . I find I enjoy re reading her books or at least dipping into them again.
I loved Washington Black and Elena Knows, and I'm in the middle of My Friends right now. I just so happened to find a copy of Bewilderment on a clearance rack this week - it will be my first Richard Powers. This is a great Booktube reflection!
Oh, Eric! I had to interrupt watching this video and switch to your interview with Richard Powers! (I hadn’t discovered your channel yet when you posted it) I’ve just finished reading Bewilderment and you asked exactly the sort of questions (and more, I didn’t even know I had!) I would have, if I had interviewed him. Thank you so much!🌷By the way, I decided to read In Ascension after watching your interview with Martin MacInnes and loved that book too. I’m now even more looking forward to Playground📚🥰
Wonderful books, I've read 3, Washington Black, My Friends and Bewilderment. I had to DNF Minor Details, the content was just too much at the time, it was getting me down in the first half of the book. I'll have to try the others. Happy Reading Eric 🙂
Wonderful video as usual. And I am so proud of you. U haven't mentioned My Friends by Hisham Matar in the last month. Oh wait...wrote this review before the video was finished. Nevermind. :)
Hey Eric , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?

I read In Memoriam after you talked about it and absolutely loved it. It will definitely be on my list of favorites for 2024.
Ah wonderful!
I read and loved in memoriam because of you
Ah, that’s great to hear!
Thanks for this. I picked up a couple of recommendations for books which I'm excited to read.
Booktube has given me so much - thank you!

Thanks for recommending Minor Detail. I had not heard of it, it was so powerful and well written / translated . A sobering relevant read.
Oh good! I’m so glad you read it.
I love your reading taste.
I am a new creator. It's been because of Booktubers like you that motivated me to start. I am enjoying the journey.
Great! Glad you’ve started making videos. 📚
Minor detail is so powerfull. Even so under the current circumstances. Learned a lot.
I’ve read 5 on your list and Minor Detail is on my September TBR.
Really appreciate you and Book Tube! Great recs throughout the years x

Yes, EKA! You are Booktube’s Sally Fields!
😂😊
And yes, I’ve read several books based on your post and enjoyed them.
Wonderful recap. You led me to discover quite a few gems over the years, so, many thanks. May you continue to enjoy the videoblog ride.
Thank you! 😊📚
Congrats on 8 years!! High Lord EKA!!
Haha, thanks!
Loved Elena Knows. I have just bought Pineiro 's new book '.Time of the Flies'
I’m looking forward to this new one too!
Great video! I still need to get to Elena Knows. I think BookTube saved me during COVID. It definitely kept the conversations of literature going. 😊💙
Thanks! I think it became especially important to so many of us during that time.
Now I want to read My Friends! Thank you, Eric!!!
I’d love to hear what you think of it when you get time to read it!

I'm making my way through the '1001 Books to Read Before You Die' but I love your channel and watch to keep up with what's new in literary fiction 😀
Thanks!

I read North Woods as per your recommendation. Since then I have read a few more by Daniel Mason. I really liked Bewilderment as well.
