13:44 Uh, wait, isn't that the same medical droid that assisted and met Fives? They just wiped his memory right? Now he's meeting Echo. The feels in this episode are real...
So... when the show was showing Master Billaba and Caleb Dune, I was so nervous when it revealed their Order 66 scene. But after I got over the sadness of it... I went back and looked for one particular detail... and found it. I know that some have already pointed out that they changed some details about Caleb's story. But I think this is still flexible enough to be canon. Notice that Master Billaba never killed her Clone Commander. I love that detail because it contributes to how Caleb survives later. She saw Order 66 relayed to Grey and was confused at first. But he fired on her instantly before she could question what that was all about. She disarms and kicks him to the ground. Doesn't kill him. She probably wanted to question him later but before she could even think, the other clones started turning on her with the order as well. Rapid escalation leads to her being overwhelmed. I'm not sure if they animated or did that on purpose in the premiere of this show but... Commander Grey would eventually follow Caleb to Lahn in the comics. He would also realize that something had taken their free will when Order 66 was given. This makes him question his actions. Spoiler: * He sacrificed himself to let Caleb/Kanan Jarrus survive. His last words when the other clones asked what he was doing as he blew themselves up to give Kanan a chance to escape... "Making things right." It's still one of the most epic and tragic one liners I've seen/heard a clone declare who executed Order 66.
14:44 I'm sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh at how you edited the clip. Wrecker: "New toys!" Literally gets blasted one second later in the edit. XD
Did anyone else notice the sound effect when Crosshair clips the rope charges to his rifle? It's the ammo pick-up sound from the Republic Commando game. Similar with with some of the beeping sounds at the start of the battle simulation or when Crosshair's chip gets intensified. Although these sounds are the thermal detonators from The Mandalorian XD.
As far as we know the resident Jedi on Kamino was Shaak-Ti. (also the medical droid was the same as in the episode of CW of Fives and Tup when they're back on Kamino after Tup's chip activated too early)
Regarding phasing out the clones, I believe that in the old Extended Universe the Kaminoans had their own secret protocols programmed into the clones that allowed them to take control of them, and they rebelled against the Empire. Palpatine ordered the destruction of Kamino (after stealing all their cloning tech, of course) and destroyed the clones. Clearly that doesn't happen any more, since some clones are around in Rebels, but the way the Kaminoan helped Clone Force 99 escape indicates that a Kaminoan rebellion may still be in the works.
There was the Togruta Jedi Master who was on Kamino overseeing the Clones Training......She was featured heavily in the episode that showed Fives, Hevy, Echo and their team trying to pass training. The reason for phasing out the Clones is that they couldn't be as easily controlled or trusted, because the Inhibitor Chips eventually lose their effectiveness.....not to mention the creation, training, equipping and upkeep of the Clones was very expensive, it basically bankrupted the Republic. Then there was the issue of the Clones mingling with the population, imagine Millions of Clones with the same Genetic template having children.....
The comics and novels should be considered placeholder canon to be changed if someone wants to make a movie or TV episode covering the same thing. And who's gonna say no to Filoni?
@@Omn1Media I actually went back and rewatched that arc and found myself much more invested. I also found myself being upset that Crosshair is now all “bad”
I think that they clearly couldnt just have the Bad Batch in their own series just being uber warriors kicking ass, because that would get boring very quickly. I didn't like them in the Clone Wars episodes for not only that reason but also because they were one-note walking cliches (the cold-hearted sniper, the stupid/pyscho tank, the clever tech etc).
I hope they might integrate some of the unfinished Bad Batch stuff from the 10 still cancelled Clone Wars arcs (about 40 episodes) into this show, even though those stories were probably happening before the CW season 7 finale. I would just really like to see all of these still missing episodes on screen again.
This totally contradicts the Kanan comic miniseries but it confirms what I've suspected since the Clone Wars finale: the comics and novelizations are canon but subject to being overwritten by future films or TV episodes. The onscreen stuff takes precedence over all else. I'm cool with that and the show was great
J19 is a part of the Saluicami system, cuz in the clone wars when the jedi were attempting to find Master eeth koth and rescue him from grevious. Obi-Wan decoded some hand gestures with J-? being decoded as the Saluicami sector so it would not be far fetched to assume, Cut lawquane is the Bad batchs contact perhaps established through either captian rex and/or Jesse (R.I.P) or Kix who were also on Saluicami. or perhaps a previous mission they did/didn't reference
I just noticed how crosshair adapted - shoot lightsaber bad - shoot branch still bad BUT jedi stumbles and cant deflect it so is caught out of position and were crosshair wants him - he will make a fine jedi hunter😂
Clones would break programming, refuse to fight other newer clones the kaminoans made to rebel against the empire. This "Kaminoan rebellion" wasnt official, yet made the emperor want to recruit new people, for new clone templates, until conscription became their primary recruiting alternative. all to keep their military strong and OBEDIENT.

Omni: It’s gonna happen later in the episode
David Filoni: I’m gonna end this man’s whole career

11:58 They missed out on having Omega say "Hello there." But her intro was still nice and pleasant.
I really like the 2 part reactions. Im not going to complain about more scenes.
It kinda warrants it, plus more content. Win Win

The droids in the training room are models of the DT-Security droid from rebels
It was great to see kanan agree
it was good, his voice was really deep for a child though.
The droids also looked like the sentry droids from rebels in the cargo episode

They changed Kanan's backstory from his comics. 😅
Not really. Only certain parts were changed but the overall are pretty much the same.
The comics and novels should be considered placeholder canon to be changed if someone wants to make a movie or TV episode covering the same thing. And who's gonna say no to Filoni?
I definitely did not expect to see Depa Billaba and Caleb Dume/Kanan Jarrus in this series premiere.
Definitely crazy how that bad batch arc in Clone Wars was kinda take it or leave for me. But this first episode had me hooked from almost the get go
Right?! The biggest take away from that was that Echo was alive haha
@@Omn1Media I actually went back and rewatched that arc and found myself much more invested. I also found myself being upset that Crosshair is now all “bad”

Those training droids are known as "Imperial Sentry Droid" or "DT Series Sentry Droid" NOT DARK TROOPERS.
The person in the bag was Jedi General Shaak Ti
Keep those Bad Batch reactions coming !
I loved this episode 👍 Thank you for sharing

I love Kanan. Easily one of my favorite Star Wars characters and second favorite Jedi behind Luke
"a little bit mixed on"
crap, I loved the prequels, flaws and all. imagine how i feel about everything filoni does lol
Star wars season has begun. I shall be visiting your channel often now my fellow jedi.
Episode 1 was so worth the wait - the dark times have begun. Glory to the Empire!

Loved this episode now I am in
And I liked the prequels so I am very happy
Prequel GANG! 😎👍
And to think, if the empire had kept using clones then the empire might have never fallen lol
Tarkin is the best character.
Good soldiers follow orders
Ah, finally :D
75 minute Premiere whittled down to 11 minutes.....
May The 4th Be With you
Shaaki ti
This first episode was pretty good but they need to be careful with the character of omega
I wonder if her mutation is that she can copy people like shooting the blaster or is she's force sensitive
Omega was great. Not the typical annoying kid.
@@SwaggerLikeUz she was fine in this episode my fear is for the future
First for once
Your shirt kept distracting me throughout the whole video. It looks like poor baby Yoda is missing an eye😩.
lmao that's so funny >
