My brain when Hunter asks where she learned to shoot like that “look around, we’re one in the same, same heart, same blood, your training is in your blood, and my bloods boiling for a fight” - fives
I went in with ZERO expectations. Despite being a huge CW and Rebels fan I always enjoy my expectations being subverted. This premiere delivered on every front. Brilliant storytelling (Thank you Dave Filoni), crazy action, and the production values like animations and sound design are off the charts man!
I found it cute Omega kept mimicking Hunter before and during Tech discussing how to escape. And the specific theme or music after she busted the rest of 99 out.
I’m calling that those were indeed early versions of the Dark Troopers; they look very similar to the imperial sentry droids which were basically a soft recanonization of the DT, and very similar to the phase two dark troopers from the old video games
This episode made me fall in love with the show within the first 3 minutes. Filoni putting in Caleb's experience of Order 66 was absolutely amazing. He is one of my all time favorite Jedi and seeing him again was beautiful. The connection from TCW to this is remarkable. This is basically what TCW season 7 was leading up to. All throughout TCW season 1-6 and all throughout Rebels the crew at Lucasfilm have been perfecting both animation and storytelling, TCW season 7 was basically the peek of it all, Lucasfilm animation going all out and now they've been given the chance to expand on their showcase of skill that was TCW's final season and I am here for it all the way.
One thing I really appreciate that they are doing with the shows is they stand on their own while being connected to the greater story. A lot of series with a large lore gets so bogged down that a newcomer can't get into it without watching it all. I haven't watched all of clone wars. I had no idea who the Bad Batch were, after watching this I get introduced to the characters. I get who they are. I can even feel for Crosshair and know what it means for the team to have him go against them. I just feel that each property should stand on its own and when you watch them all you get the whole thing.
I don't think she's a Force-sensitive clone. I think she's just unique because she's female, and possibly enhanced to have some of the Bad Batch's qualities. Intellect, marksmanship, reflexes, Etc. She was likely meant to be a template for next generation of clones. My guess
I feel her unique enhancement is photographic memory she seems to mimic hunters skill and mannerism from just observing him. Her use of the blaster for the first time may be caused from watching hunter shoot his gun at the shock troopers/crosshair
@@TimeCircleBlue That's not BS at all. It's almost certainly exactly what happened. Males and females are almost identical in utero. It wouldn't have been difficult at all to make a clone female in reality, and I'm almost certain the Kaminoans did it on purpose
@@corbanwoosley6891 its possible they changed her gender on purpose to make her look different from the others so she is not immediately identified as a clone to hide her real potential from the republic/empire.
PREDICTION: Tarkin's gonna catch on to the Kaminoans' distrust of the new Empire quite quickly, order their extermination, and bring in a young Dr. Pershing to lead the facility in the direction the Empire wants.
Aww. This episode just made me love Wrecker even more. 😂 My 2nd favorite is probably Tech/Echo. Overall, I really enjoyed this premier. I am VERY curious to see how Omega develops and how long she sticks with the BB. I'm thinking she has some kind of mental powers. How else would she know Crosshair was behind those blast doors? Rating for this premier: 9 of 10
One thing I hope future episodes rectify or at least acknowledge is that Echo feels like an ancillary member, he doesn't do much in this episode (besides getting whacked with a lunch tray) whereas everyone else gets featured about evenly. Still a great episode tho! super excited to see where it leads
@@21gayy11 I’m aware, but there’s even a hacking moment in the episode and it’s TECH that does it! It feels like they have 2 hackers on the team. It’s a weird dynamic
Nala Se saved Omega and the Bad Batch 😕🤨🤔. And though Omega was only her medical assistant, and while Kaminoans only see the Clones as property (plus she, rather coldly, played a part in the execution of Fives, and covering up the knowledge of Order 66 from the Jedi), Nala Se showed an uncharacteristic amount of motherly concern for Omega's well-being 😕🤨🤔.
I think that back in the Extended Universe days, Kamino actually rebelled against the Empire and had some sneaky additions of their own to the clone programming allowing them to take control of the clones. I wonder if they're going that direction since the Kaminoan scientist helped Clone Force 99 escape?
@@mivapusa my theory is that cut is also a defective clone which would explain his unwillingness to fight. This could also be why hunter knows about him. Also I think this might be how they come across Rex too. At the end of cuts episode he invites Rex to stay and live with him. With no where to go after order 66 maybe he went there. Also the title of the next episode is “cut and run” lol
Happy STAR WARS day to you!! May The Force Be With You!! Omega fits in with the Bad Batch pretty well. The help from the Kaminoans mainly was to protect/help Omega knowing she's better off with the BB. Order 66 had to be installed at the very beginning for all the clones but with the final objective only revealed at the execution of the order. The Kaminoans found out the severity of it after it was too late. That could be another reason to go against the Empire.
happy to see your reactions again ! :D this was dope. and they pushed the Grievous look at the begining even further.. I am curious how they will develop the grudge with Crosshair.. if they save him, or it will be bad guy under tarkin for the rest of the series..
the bad batch, the transition between republic and empire. this is how you bring prequels and original fans together against sequels, 7-8-9 have no substance, no real story, no consistancy, they had no plan and even admitted to it, its just flashy lights and bullshit. but this right here is real story, real drama, real development. and how you bring 1-2-3 fans together with 4-5-6. as far as i know, there's only 6 movies, and this is the between that matter most, the part least covered.
Not sure if you saw, but I noticed after watching the Bad Batch on Disney+, they added some Vintage Star Wars. Including the two made for tv Ewoks movies from the 80’s.
J19 is a part of the Saluicami system, cuz in the clone wars when the jedi were attempting to find Master eeth koth and rescue him from grevious. Obi-Wan decoded some hand gestures with J-? being decoded as the Saluicami sector so it would not be far fetched to assume, Cut lawquane is the Bad batchs contact perhaps established through either captian rex and/or Jesse (R.I.P) or Kix who were also on Saluicami. or perhaps a previous mission they did/didn't reference
I honestly think Crosshair's chip still kind of working as an explanation for his behavior is a bit of a cop out. It could have been more interesting for the story and his characterization if he wound up as an Imperial loyalist of his own free will and to some degree out of rivalry with Hunter. Crosshair as the one clone who chooses to go with Order 66 and the Empire because he agrees with it instead of because of programming would have been so much more compelling, in my opinion.
I didn't even think about Fennec joining the team to fill the role of Crosshair, and that's absolutely genius
I didn’t consider it either

Omega is apparently a clone that ages at a normal human rate.

Hmmm. Could messing with enough genetics resulted in a chromosome change? I know that’s probably BS but it’s what popped into my head first.

J19 = saleucami
Clone wars Season 2 episode 9 / 10
We’re seeing Cut Lawquane
This just in, there will be 16 episodes. Finale on August 13. This is why they move Loki to Wednesdays. Hey Omn1👍.
Theory: they made omega from hunters DNA, because her abilities are just an upgraded version of hunters senses
Probably why she’s gravitated to him and in the next episode he becomes the equivalent to a dad to her.

J 19 is where the clone deserter Cut Lawquane lives from season 2 of the clone wars. That’s my theory on who “the guy” is.
yeah, but how would they know him? Rex -supposedly - never spoke of him. More likely, Rex himself is there.

Could they canonize the kamino uprising? Damn haha
The 501st Journal was amazing, it deserves to be canonized, at least the kamino uprising
Heavily implied it with that scene. Would be a huge tease if they didn't.
@@SwagSwagSenate agreed
The one question I need answered in this series..
Where does CrossHair get all the toothpicks?
Crosshair: shrugs shoulders
Omega: magic 🤗
Kaminoans are a shifty bunch but in legends they tried to stage a Clone Rebellion but I am not sure on what happens in Canon.
Yeah that happened in the 501st Journal
