A Wild Night at Epcot: How Many Rides Can We Do With Our New Extended Evening Hours Strategy?!

- It's been a year since we shared our tips for Extended Evening Hours at Epcot and since then, we have been hard at work perfecting our strategy (if you can call having a blast at Walt Disney World hard work).
With Epcot's paid After Hours event coming up, we wanted to share our latest tips and tricks for making the most of this perk for Disney Deluxe Resort guests to set a baseline that we can compare the After Hours event with. How many rides can we pack into these precious two hours of park time? When is the best time to hit the virtual queue at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind? What is the precise number of minutes it takes to walk from Test Track to Frozen Ever After to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure? And most importantly, can you eat FISH at Epcot's Extended Evening Hours? We'll answer all these questions and more in this week's super fun, extra wild and kinda crazy new video.

I gave you a little of grief the last video you went to epcot and did 3 rides in 2hrs. This time you doubled it. Absolutely awesome with the hustle and metrics you used. Pro teams use these metrics with there player evaluations. Similiar what you did with walking distance between rides and shortest walk to and from rides. I like that. Oh and the video is great thank you.

Our family of 4 just got back from a 6 day trip to MK, EPCOT, AK and HS. All I can say is we all want to give a great big THANK YOU to Rob and Ear Scouts for making our trip wonderful!! We rode Guardians multiple times, MMRR multiple times, ROTR multiple times, and Remy and MF several time each. Of course, we rode all of the other long time favs like FOP, Soarin', etc etc many times.
I and my 25 y/o son studied all of your vids for several months before we left and felt extremely well prepared. We understood exactly what we needed to do to get everything done that we could have possibly wanted to do. We walked around 50 miles total over the 6 days, which was not easy for my 71 year old body! But we experienced way more than we could have ever hoped to had we not had the benefit of Rob's sound strategies and advice.
We were all so surprised to see so many people around us in nearby lines unable to get on so many of the best attractions without waiting for a long time, but it seemed we were the only ones spinning the Disney Genie slots! The general lack of preparation by so many was surprising. Anyway, we had great success booking literally dozens of top attractions through use of Ear Scouts strategies. We left nothing undone!
In summary, thanks to Rob for all you and Ear Scouts do for us WDW fanatics!! We were all hoping to bump into you somewhere so we could buy you a Joffries snack, but alas, it was not to be. Maybe next trip!

GotG was definitely an empty queue when the fireworks starts. Amazing that the wait was zero, and there was only two other ride vehicles that had guests. What a great experience to have that ride almost to myself.

Whenever we did Epcot extended evening hours, we basically only consider the time enough to do Guardians, Remy’s and Frozen.
Anything after that is bonus
I’d agree that’s a good baseline. And I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what we did in the first version of this video last year. I do think if you get called for Guardians before early entry starts and you go ahead and ride that early, you could easily fit in a couple more. Thanks for watching! 😃

I can't stop watching all of your videos!! My trip is officially less than 3 weeks from now and I've got a reservation for each of the 4 parks. My first time to Florida. My husband and kids first time to USA (hi from Canada!) and first time flying for my girls. I know this is getting too close to launch time for us, but any chance you can do some more of those "how to do everything in the ____ park without genie plus"? Staying offsite (yes, I know, I have so many regrets but it's too late now :( so here we are). Getting genie plus is going to majorly depend on the cost at the time, and likely would only get it for Magic Kingdom. But I only decided yesterday (after watching your videos) that instead of doing 2 days at MK, we should do Epcot. My kids love Frozen and I just felt like we need to experience all of the parks. Would love some tips! And packing list - what should we bring with us? If you're filming while we're there, would love to say hi and thanks to you and Eric for all the premium content!

Although we are doing a week at Poly, we are not hitting either Epcot or MK on a extended evening hours day. Oh well, we will just use your tips and tricks for the perfect day at each using Genie Plus! Cheers!

aww this makes me so sad about the fireworks! we are headed there in a couple of weeks and i was looking forward to them at epcot. i remember coming when i was 10 and seeing the fireworks and being obessed with them. i was able to see that same show in 2019 before they replaced it (i can't remember the name though) and it was magical. but i'm sad they are now doing something that is less than spectacular.

The 6pm queue is only for extended evening. But it’s very possible they start calling the Q early? Like they start calling at 830??
Exactly! They will sometimes start calling the regular Virtual Queue during early entry and they typically start calling the EEH queue before EEH actually starts. Thanks for watching! 😃

If cast members only scan 1 guest to verify, how easy is it for hotel guests to “sneak” ppl in?

For the extended evening hours do you have to stay at the deluxe resorts directly the day before or after you visit the park or can you do it as long as you’re staying at the deluxe resort sometime during your visit? TIA I love your videos they’re very helpful for a first timer.

Hello! As long as it is on a check in day or a check out day or some day between those two, yes. If you checked out on Saturday, you would not have access on Monday, for example.
Per my answer above, you would not qualify since you would not be there during an active stay. It includes your check in day, check out day, or any day in between. But not before or after. Thanks for watching! 😃

Great video, i want some advice if someone can guide me, im going mid September for very few days and want to park hop between hollywood studios first because im really a fan of starwars and then to epcot for guardians of the galaxy and the night show, but i was wondering if i want to ride guardians i have to go to epcot first?? To join de virtual queue? Im afraid if i do that then at 2pm is going to be hard to ride all the star wars attractions.. thanks very much!
Rob, would you suggest a different strategy if entering through international gateway? I’m thinking making my way around starting at Ratatouille, then hitting frozen, test track, etc in that order. Finishing with the land pavilion attractions and making my way back out.
Not really. It would make sense to start with Ratatouille since that is the first ride you would hit, but it will be a VERY long line earlier in the evening. You can watch our older version of this video and you’ll see that getting to Remy too early can really limit what you’re able to do. Instead plan to end with Remy and then you are close to the exit when you’re done (which can be a very good thing when you’re exhausted 😂). Thanks for watching!

If I want to do a water park in the morning and a theme park in the afternoon, would I be able to use Genie+ efficiently? Would my first few selections likely be early morning, or is there anyway I can rack up a load of LL for entering the park in the afternoon?

We found the food to be fine - nothing to write home about, though the plant-based offerings held their own surprisingly well for a bbq restaurant. The atmosphere was what made it super fun.

Hello! So there are two different events - the After Hours is a paid event that we will be covering soon (and it goes to 1am). This one is Extended Evening Hours that is a perk of Deluxe Resort guests. Thanks for watching! 😃
Just a quick question if you have checked out of deluxe hotel in the morning and moved to valve like pop you are still ok to use extended hours at night ? Also how do you get back to value resort as I am guessing skyline will be closed thank youn
Great question. While you can definitely do extended hours on your checkout day, I’m not sure about transportation. My guess is someone would drop you off at your resort even if there was not a dedicated bus running, but you might have to take a Lyft. I’d suggest asking one of the transportation cast members on the night you are there how they suggest getting back to your resort.

Does the Epcot Evening Hours on Monday push the parking lot hours back a couple hours (11PM park close so Midnight parking lot close) so I can stay at Hollywood Studios until it closes (10PM) before returning to Epcot?
Hi Jim! Only if you have access to extended evening hours. They won’t typically let you enter at the International Gateway where the Skyliner drops you off unless you have valid park entry at that time. Since the parking lot is at the other end of Epcot, that wouldn’t work. However, you can ALWAYS take a bus to a park that closed earlier than the park you are in and get to the parking lot that way. Just know that it may take a really long time for the bus to come for parks that have already closed. It sometimes helps to let a transportation cast member know you are waiting on a bus for the closed park because they can sometimes send a “floater” bus to pick you up if there isn’t one scheduled for a while. That happened for me once at MK when I needed to get back to AK which had closed a LOT earlier. Thanks for watching! 😃
