The reaper sauce was more creamy and hot than spicy. Fries are expensive so you get 10-15 fries in a burrito. Think of it as a seasoned potato steak burrito.
100%... if you're going to slap that REAPER name on there. It best be butt burningly hot. Taco Bell keeps putting stuff out that they claim is their HOTTEST EVER! and they aren't even close.
I thought it was decent enough. It's like an improved cheesy-potato burrito (which is discontinued). I mean for $3, you are not going to get the ultimate in cuisine, lol. Just the demographics alone, are why they aren't going to make it so hot that they alienate most consumers....you can always add hot sauce.
I think Taco Bell has difficulty discerning the difference between jalapeno peppers and reapers. I get that they're trying to make it more mass market friendly and so they can't appeal to weirdos like me who enjoy ridiculously spicy things. Hey, Taco Bell, next time, just call it "spicy ranch burrito" and stop pissing off people who want to eat something with actual reaper sauce.

Exactly, it doesn't NEED to burn your face off, just don't name it after one of the hottest peppers then?
