I have been waiting for many years to see these videos for the songs to ANNETTE'S album DANCE ANNETTE. Thank You so very much for posting them. ANNETTE is so very beautiful here and she was an excellent dancer.
She was beautiful from the start to the end even older and when the terrible disease took ahold of her she still had the spark in her eyes and was still beautiful in her own way even her hair reminded big and beautiful.
Watching this it's hard to believe where women in music videos have arrived at. Twerking, barely clothed, sexually graphic lyrics. Not all of course, but holy cow - this was just 70 years ago! Where the heck will be be in 70 more???
I enjoy this song, but the "Cha-cha" music is originally from Cuba, which is in the Caribbean, normally considered part of North America. And, I doubt they have many Saguaro Cacti there. They seem to be confusing México with other parts of Latin America. The world zone called Latin America is much more diverse than most people realize. One of its contributions is the tradition of music known as the "Cha-Cha-Cha".

It looks weird that Annette was told to lip-synch to the backup singers saying "rock-a-cha" instead of sticking just to her own voice.

Nice gal but in 1956 I was more a Darlene kind of six-year-old.
Not much of a voice, but she sure does look pretty.
"cabuyeros". Lol.
I don't think Disney liked Rock and Roll. So many of Annette's songs seemed to have been alternatives to rock. A bit reactionary.
She didn't dance in a swimsuit, either. Not a twerk in sight 😊
