I’m liking the subdued lighting and can imagine your fish getting all romantic on the regular... but I always wondered how people get bottom dwelling fish to breed on a bare bottom tank (that’s not sufficiently scuffed from years of use or coated in afwuchs )... if I was a fish, seeing my reflection below me all day would totally freak me out... anyway, I’m only halfway through the video, gonna finish. :j
Ive had most of my fish breed with bare bottom or substrate so I dont think it matters to much to them, plus the bottom usually has a solid backing from the stand so might not really reflect too much. So far, we've had bristlenose, Cacatuoides, Borelli Opal, Julii (Trilineatus) and Panda cories breed no issues in bare bottom. In fact my apistos seem to dig the substrate down to the bottom under abit of driftwood or similar to lay eggs rather than the obvious cave I provided.

Hey kfs idk if you know but u can get some glasses that will allow u to see colors anyways the fishroom is looking good man im surprised how fast its been set up also your home tanks are scaped beautifully!
I suggest you put sand in all your corydoras tanks. just a little layer. they will feel safer. and black venezuelanans don't really exist. those are the black variant of c schultzei and orange venezuelanas also dont really exitst. its c venezuelanas. great video!

Can you add the ammonia conditioner (the remover) even if there isn't a spike, just to prevent any at all? I stocked 10 fish.. in one day. Because of the deal on the fish I found
In you video you said that you are colour blind, im also colour blind and it can be difficult when it comes to testing the water. Got any tips when it comes to colour blindness and water testing?
Bristlenose seem to like to breed in a cave that the male can trap a female in and then block the entrance off. The D - Shaped long ones seem best, though ive also had mine breed in a cichlid cave with a small 2cm opening (he stole the cave from my Apistos). I have a pair in a new tank with a large hollow log (8-10cm hole and 30cm + long) and the male appears to be now digging under an ornament to make a cave instead. My guess is the log is too large for him to make a nest. Id say the biggest factor is opening size compared to fish size.

I even tried feeding garlic to fix digestion or something. Didn't work. Please help. Btw great vid, stoked to see how your fish room grows.
Try frozen blood worms or live daphnia/mosquito larvae, but feed every 2nd or 3rd day and your normal feed every other day. Hope that helps and they get better, if the poo is white and stringy treat them for worms.

When it comes to plecos, the caves u have, will a coconut hide be a good substitute
