Whats sick is brutally murdering your parents and going on a shopping spree with their money then lying about abuse to save face.
Oh yeah I know. This skit on SNL made men across the country afraid to talk about their sexual abuse. Lighten up.
To provide context - this case was how I learned the word "affluent". People at this time were not making fun of SA. They were making fun of rich boys who they thought were lying about SA to talk their way out of a crime. The mention of SA (at first) felt like it came out of nowhere. It was a time when we weren't aware of how common SA and other evils were. It was before social media. Now, we know how much more common it is and we, as a society, are more equipped & willing to support people who have been abused. We have come a long way. But I don't condemn people from the time this aired who didn't know better. I do, however, wonder why this clip is still live - because now, we do know better. Regardless of the facts around the Menendez case, this sets a bad example for survivors who need to speak out.
Just watching crime weekly were Stephanie Harlow is going true this case. And she was shocked that on RUclips and as it was aired live at the time. Photos of Lyle that were taken by his father when he was six of his private parts were shown to all. And as far is Stephanie saying it is still shown now on RUclips.
I kinda get why they haven't taken this down. It shows a discusting way people dealt with abuse in the not so long ago past. But RUclips needs to blur the photos from the case. That dose not need to be public. And in my opinion should have only been shown to the jury and witnesses.
But yah they were male and rich so nobody really cared😢
In todays episode of “men are men’s worst enemies”
The brothers cried recalling being raped by their parents and that’s what they’re mocking. Unbelievably awful
Sure, if you believe their BS.
Yeah no proof at all. They are only crying because they know they will be spending life in prison for murdering the parents who gave them life.
The skit doesn’t even mention the alleged sexual abuse.
@@joshjnp8900 there was literally countless amounts of evidence what are you on
@@hawaiiptiiptiitimemachined844 LOL. What, exactly, was this "countless amounts"? Lyle Menendez wrote a letter to his girlfriend from jail, detailing to her what she should say on the stand when she was to lie about Kitty Menendez trying to poison her family, and told her to make notes on the letter and then destroy it. Erik Menendez was caught in a lie on the stand when he said that he and Lyle looked at guns in a store which had stopped carrying guns three and a half years earlier. So that invalidates their testimony about sexual abuse. Once you know a witness is lying about one thing, it is completely valid to discard their testimony about anything else.
This is literally why children, boys or everyone that goes through such a trauma don’t open. It’s a shame.
It isn’t because most children don’t shoot their parents with shotguns even if they have got sexually assaulted

A gay friend of mine once confessed to me that he was raped by one of his close relative when he was young. He was in his early twenties if I'm not mistaken when he told me that and while he was telling me about it, I couldn't really tell him that I too can relate. There's really no amount of words that are enough to make the pain go away so we just sat there in silence. A month after that, I found a job and he stopped coming to our house and we lost contact. A year or two passed by and one of his niece one day approached my sister and told me he's gone. He committed suicide. I respected his decision and I hope wherever he is now, he is at peace. These kind of shows and jokes are so insensitive. The Menendez brothers were victims not only of their parents but by the society they were surrounded.

There are documented dental records that state the injury Erik had sustained in his throat was only consistent with forced oral sex. Each time after his father would force his penis into his mouth, he would vomit afterwards. Shush you neek😭 go cry you’re definitely a 12 year old just trying to act fake depressed. All you’re doing is just making men look like fucking cry babies 😭
that’s disgusting. breaks my heart that erik saw this himself and was upset abt it. they were abused. this is why most men don’t speak up when this happens to them.

wait he saw this!?! this is just awful
how do you know he saw it? genuine question hehe
He saw it!? That’s terrible
I hope he did see it. Cuz Ole boy looked ridiculous on the stand. 😂
Kinda weird seeing Phil Hartman, who would also die by murder in his home.
This is disgusting. Let's make fun of the kids that killed their parents whos father molested them. Fkn gross.
Their parents didn't abuse them.

This is the first video I have ever disliked
This is DISGUSTING. As an abuse survivor, this broke my heart. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU !!!!!!
As an abuse survivor you should be outraged over the false claims of abuse.
disgusting why tf would you mock this case
Killing ur abuser is an act of self defence, they should not have been jailed
They killed for money
@@aleksandrac9335 You are just like their parents that's why you defend them so much and want to silence victims by calling them liars and laugh about them. There are so many of you disgusting sc*mbags out there it sickens me
This is truly disgusting that you guys are making fun of this acting like this is a sick joke this is disrespectful on so many levels I hope whoever came up with this is ashamed.
Its not , those boys killed their own parents you sick fuck
@@joemama-gv1tq you fucking idiot they killed their parents due to the incredible amounts of abuse they received, sexual and physical, no child should experience this at all and parents are supposed to be idols.

@@joemama-gv1tq they were children, they were fucking abused over and over again. The boy literally said he vomited whenever his father came in his mouth. When you are trapped in hell your whole life and are abused by the people who are suppose to protect you, you have every right to defend yourself even if it means to kill them.
What they did was self defense not murder
This wasn’t even clever. On top of being insensitive.
I have never been more disgusted in my life watching a video. This is so sick. How dare they.
Yeah how dare a comedy show makes fun of savage murderers.
They were adults. How could they fear for their lives? They went on spending spree the very next day.
Did you seriously just ask how they could fear for their lives? Is this a joke? If you have been abused and r*ped by your own father for years I think you’d be afraid of him no matter what age you are and as for this financial gain theory it was denied by a grand jury and the prosecution had to drop it during trial and come up with a new theory because of how much the defence debunked it it was confirmed by family that Lyle and Erik had no idea they were still in the will Marta Canó Jose’s sister testified that she went to talk to the boys about the will and the response she got was we are out of the will and their uncle Carlos testified Jose said to him he’d already told the boys they were out of the will bit hard to kill for money if you have no clue you are even still in the will and as for the spending spree they came from a rich family blowing money was nothing new to them they have evidence and many witnesses who cooperated abuse including family in fact 10 family members testified for the defence and three of them were siblings of the deceased
This is horrendous that they are making fun of them I hope the people who are laughing suffer
