Most difficult thing about this performance: Malmsteen having to play slow and Zakk Wylde having to avoid playing pinch harmonics.
And steve vai using a dive domb and weird wah noises
I heard they bribed malmsteen with cheesecake and they told zakk that Ozzy would disown him if he squelches.
Everything about this song is difficult. I've never heard Malmsteen and Wylde play with that much emotion before. Steve Vai brilliantly controlled and conducted that orchestra of shred through Queen's well-known modern classical.
Also Zakk realising he's not in the Hell's Angels. Kidding, love the guy haha z:

a modern classical piece! there is discipline required in the execution of the bends these guitarists need to make this homage credible ! the verses are a little faulty, and the main solo is rushed , take into account none of these players have written a song as amazing as bohemian rhapsody !
jeff beck and michael schenker are the only players i can think of that wouldn't let ego and self gratification get in the way of a stellar performance
It's amazing how they all kept their egos in check and actually put the song first and did it justice. Very well played gents.

Yep , i’m not an Yngwie or Vai fan (not my style) but i know they are great guitar players , what they did here along with Zakk is simply amazing .

I think that was Vai's direction and arrangement. He has a lot of technical skills in arranging, theory, transcribing, etc. He had all the chords worked out. That was tight to the note. Great tribute.

Freddie Mercury and Queen were already legendary before any of these guys were ever in the music business ... they did a great job ... respect
Queen doesn't need anything or anyone to cement their long-since-legendary status as one of the greatest bands of all time. What a silly thing to say. that being said, this was quite enjoyable and I appreciated it a lot.
I really don't think Queen were waiting for this moment before saying "Hey, (remaining) lads - we're legends!"

True masters making the guitars sing with emotion like Freddy. All synchronized to perfection. Yngwie can slow down, like a lot of you say he can't. Here is the proof. I rather he be on more is more mode. Nobody can bash these guys on this performance, or any other. Respect where respect is due.

Absolutely. He plays more tastefully than the other three by a good margin on 3 sides. And still shreds. Guy is one of the best rock players ever. That said, dudes like Scott Henderson and Holdsworth and Gambale are in a different universe. Apples oranges I guess (I had to get my fusion plug haha)

They managed to get Yngwie to be an ensemble player...pretty cool.
There were a couple times in there I dare say Yngwie looks like he felt something and had fun. And what happened then? Well, in Vaiville they say that Yngwie's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then -- the true meaning of music came through and Yngwie found the strength of ten Yngwie's, plus two!

I disagree, this just shows how talented was FREDDIE MERCURY.
Why? - he wrote it - Brian, Roger and John helped arrange it - they had just as much to do with the song as Freddie.
Pete Manning because as a fan of Queen i know Freddie Mercury wrote the whole song, including operatic lines, i agree with you about Roger, Brian and John helped him with the solo and arrangements, but this song was really created by Freddie, the credits of this song were for Mercury, and so it is on the album.
This is great. Good to hear Mamlsteen not overplaying, we can just focus on is great tone near the end there. . A superb version. Put Nuno in the title too of course

It took you the task of watching this to realize their genius? For real? Boy you are deprived! You must go back and really listen and study your older Queen albums! Not Radio Ga Ga and stuff like that. Lap Of The Gods shit, Killer Queen etc. "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy", "Love Of My Life" Listen to the sublime stuff in the background, the chord structures, the harmonies, the way the melodies work with the instruments and vice versa. The band had it all! The older stuff was sheer genius.
