Ocean is one of the most underrated and overlooked fellas in the underground skateboarding subculture, when the fact of the matter is that he deserves nothing short of mount rushmore innovation recondition, millennials simply know not😵
It was a tough time back then for the skating industry. A seachange from vert to street and a total lack of popular interest created a survival environment. Even the previous masters of skating had to adapt from vert to technical street. In the early 90's, no one was safe aside from a handful of guys. Mike Vallely, Ed Templeton, Natas, Mark Gonzales and Tommy Guerrero. That was it and the new guys had to fight dirty to sell boards.
Damn near 20 year old footage and without rail work he is better that most kids skating today....and looked like he was having waaay more FUN!!! Yes to double frontside flips 20 years ago....frontside full cab flip?? I dont see any pros rockin that one today!! =)
"Now this is Ocean's big debut video part so we're going to want to make sure that we get that kid with Parkinson's to film the entire thing with wax paper over the lens-and make sure you have the low-light, total dogshit filter set all the way to up 100% this time."
There is a part of the ravers video where I'm on a trampoline. A quick 5-10 second clip. Trying to find it for years. Do you have the video? It might be Steve Berra's part. Can you post it??? Please :)
