I never worked with black paper before, but it certainly looks like a lot of fun. Also, you're not kidding when you say that colored pencils are a slow medium. I love colored pencils, but the only way I make a large piece of artwork with it, is if I use markers to lay down first. It's the only true way to stay sane. 🤣
Oh I’m totally with you 😅 I used to use pan pastels as a base when I did pet portrait commissions but now when I work with coloured pencils it tends to be very small and not that realistic! That’s why the black paper is good because your darkest value is already down and I find it really quick to get a little artwork done! ☺️ Thank you for your comment xx
Ah, this was really satisfying to watch, and I appreciated you slowing down the speed to demonstrate the point you were making. Also, I even turn my biro when writing it’s so ingrained in me now 😂 I’ve never tried this paper, so will add it to my list, cos it looks pretty good for pencils.
