I have just purchased 4 items from your list (the sketchbook, pallet and the books). Excited about the sketchbook and the books :D

by the looks of it they used a cheaper binder, as the typical gum Arabic binder give the concentrated paint a gloss. these look more mat and the pigments don't spread evenly on the paper. light fastness is probably also on the low side so cheaper binder and cheaper pigments give this price for this set. good for practice, study, sketchbook and beginner art. 😊

I absolutely loved this. I was in the same place you were and I discovered Denise Loves RUclips page as well. It’s definitely not as easy as she makes it look ( at least for me it wasn’t) but with continued practice it becomes so much fun and that’s what making art should be shouldn’t it? Thanks for this video and can’t wait to see more. I’m a new subscriber:)

Oh wow yeah the pigment information is confusing 😅 but since it's just student grade and it's pretty obvious that they are pigment based they look quite nice! I definitely would've got it as a beginner set especially since it contains a lot of reds 😍 thank you for the review 😊

the large pans they use, as I understand it, is because in Japanese traditional painting, they use large brushes so the pans were designed to fit those larger brushes. 🤗

This is me. What I mean is I used to do portraits and then I moved on to other realistic subjects and I just got so sick of it. It sucked the fun out of art. Now I just do what ever I want to in the moment.
