    I recently completed the packet tracer course. They explain this pretty thoroughly. You can actually trace packets per protocols. Again, what is different about your teaching is not just the content, but the method. It's progressing and when you've introduced concepts that were not discussed before you've mentioned it. This keeps the student focused on the course. There are lots of teaching online that would just throw in new concepts without ever considering their students levels. Again, thank very much for your work. Subscribed, liked and will most definitely contribute - I just need to get to work :D

    after 30 years i picked up studying...i've ended up as a window cleaner. if you were my teacher back then i would have finshed my shool. I was sure this ict stuff was way beyond my level of understanding but you make it clear and explain it in a way nobody does...now i feel confidant to take my exams! cant thank you enough you are a live changer!!!!

    You mentioned, Jeremy, at 6:30 that the model is TCP/IP, so why weren't layers 1 and 2 integrated as the Link Layer as shown?

    Perhaps I'm getting too ahead of myself, but routers usually only have a subnet for two hosts. Subnetmask /30. I didn't mean to surprise my older brothers or Jeremy himself, but I noticed and now I'm letting you know.

      The colors are random, and the cross or check mark depends on which device receives it.

    Hey! awesome explanation. I have doubt about the routers in this particular diagram. I have used the same network diagram somehow the packets seems not be flow to the routers Can you please let me know why?

      If you build the lab yourself, you will have to configure the devices. I haven't taught you how to do that yet (I will teach you later in the course), so I recommend downloading my lab files from the top line of the description. In my lab files, everything is already set up.

    Need Help!!!
    My connection from switch to router is done with a red symbol downwards and the packet does not reach through router it only revolve around switches and PC and Server.

      Hi, did you download my lab file? If you didn't, you'll need to do some extra configurations which I haven't introduced yet in this course.

    Why didn't you instruct how to turn on the routers in this video? After connecting the devices with the straight through and crossover wires my routers are not connected to the left network.

    Why does the lab of this video do spanning tree protocol and open shortest path frames forever?

      Switches send STP frames once every 2 seconds by default, and the routers are using OSPF to share routing information with each other. You'll learn about these protocols later in the course!

    My View
    shows only Time and last device
    your youtube view
    While your lab shows time, last device, all devices and type.
    Any idea why is that ?

    Why do the processes in the OSI layer model is being repeated at 4:04? The 123 are different but 456 are same respectively.

    Hello Jeremy when I tried to open the packet tracer link in my laptop I got the message that file 03osimodel.pkt is not compatible with this version of Packet Tracer
    Can you please help me and answer me how can i get the right verson downloaded for this file
