I have an exact same guitar Gibson, J 45 Souther jumbo. I love the smaller neck and the big sound. I wish I hadn’t waited so long about buying one. You’re going to love it.
Excellent choice! You are 100% correct that Gibsons need to be played in person to really appreciate how special they can be. Nothing sounds like a Gibson!
I have 2022 J45 Standard, 2023 Southern Jumbo Original, 2023 Hummingbird Original, 2023 Martin D18 with the 1933 Ambertone finish, 2024 Martin D18 in natural, it's actually for sale.. I'm actually eyeing the 2024 model Gibson J45 Custom with the Ebony finish.. hard to keep clean and looking nice. But I've got to have a Black Guitar...
@@liberalsrmentallyflawed3611 I know - I have a black Les Paul and a black Danelectro- just like a black car, they are hard to keep looking great but when they do - so cool!
I've been trying to decide on which Black Guitar I like better and would rather have.. The 50's J45 and the 60's J45.. I think I Like the white pick guard on the 60's better, but then I'll the black/black on the 50's and I really like it as well.. lol. This SJ is such an amazing and beautiful Guitar!! 🤘
I’m the same way you are. I’m not big on flashy guitars but the Southern Jumbo is done very tastefully in my opinion and this is the guitar I’m thinking about getting. Gonna go try some out next week!
Dude, THAT guitar is the Bomb! You did well and good for you! Yes it's jangly and sounds like a Gibson...that's what we love about it. I bought a new 50's J45...its awesome too, but now I want the dressy one too! It's only money 😂🎉🎉🎉
I bought a 2015 Custom Gibson Southern Jumbo 12 fret special. That Tony Polecastro. Was playing on his RUclips channel. And Tony was smitten. So I bought one ruclips.net/video/js33RLOepJ0/видео.htmlsi=yY1KyUaZAyLj7ioy
Sounds way too jangly like Gibsons usually are... Your name is "Martin" and there is a guitar maker out of Nazareth, Pennsylvania that has your name on it... CF Martin. I'm 100% positive you shoulda got one of them instead.
@@JimMartinDoesThings Just remember this, Mr Martin.... There's yer Gallaghers, yer Gibsons, Goya, Gretch and Guild... I picked on every geetar that them geetar makers build! @@denzillong9878 yes I’m a big fan of buying local whenever possible - and if it’s not, to at least try one out a few times in person
My favorite Gibson. I have the Songwriter Deluxe with ebony, but want the 24 3/4 scale of a J45 but with the inlays.
@@summerman2 the inlays initially caught my eye, but it plays so well. I love the neck too!
Sounds/looks great... Just got the same guitar for the same reasons...

That thing is a gutless dog. You can get 500 dollar Yamahas that sound better.
