Hello, how has the flex seal held up over the year? I know it’s a great product, just wondering because the camper roof is fiberglass. Thank you for your time.
Actually the roofs on these are ABS. You really shouldnt paint over top of it nor use any other product other than liquid abs paste for fixing cracks. Basically just drill out the end of the crack to keep it from spreading then Dremel the edge of the crack, then hit it with the liquid abs (labs). As the liquid abs paste hardens it bonds to the abs roof and makes a permanent fix. By painting the roof you are making it a pain to fix later on.
I saw your comment that you sold the Apache Mesa. Did you share anywhere the things that you liked or disliked about it? I think the hard sided pop-ups are interesting but I don't think these are the easiest campers to set up.
HI! Thanks for commenting. So, that is one of the main reasons I sold it; the set up is not always easy. And considering I do a lot of solo camping I knew it wouldn’t be ideal after trying it a few times. On top of that one being old, there were some leaks inside and the fix up ended up being way more than I wanted to do. In the future I will probably look more into a van set up or a tear drop!
i have an apache royal. i find the set up to be very easy. it's not difficult. perhaps maybe.... if alone and maybe petite i could see it. but in a general sense it's very easy.
