Thanks Christian! And thanks to whomever took your ex24 version and translated it into Kontakt for us non-Logic peeps 😎👍🏻 I imagine that Steinway would be delighted with your modifications 😉
Oh my what happened to the sampled sound? Distorted (maybe because of the DAW too loud when recording the video?) and also very much out of tune at that A# or what might be the tone you play.
corner liston yeah I thought too wasn’t sure if it was intentional? I guess I was thinking it would be a clean felted version of the model A. Maybe that wasn’t meant I wonder if it’s an issue with kontakt
Hi Christian, thanks again for the content this and your other channel outputs. Absolutely inspired to go and do what you said! Just wondering though - can you recommend any guides/books on creating Kontakt instruments? I’m looking to get quite in depth. That question goes to any and everyone!
There might be some comment of this sort.. but why didn't you just pull out the key bed from the piano, and put the felt on it? Much quicker and much safer.
Thanks Christian ! I downloaded the KOntakt instruments, much appreciated. Is it possible for me to dial down somewhere the piano noises/release noises and just be left with the clean note? I know the noises add 'realism' but I wonder if in the deeper inner workings of Kontakt I could do this?
Something is amiss with the piano at 4:50 approximately. It sounds terrible. Spend less time messing with felting and samples and learn to play properly. And learn to read music; you clearly don't know what you're missing, and it's not difficult.
I sampled the lid to my wok. After some tweaking of the attack on each sample it has gone from a metallic 'gong,' to an almost organ sound. I love it.
this is why i love you. this is why i buy your software over others.
I'm really appreciating the pipe-cleaner tip, thank you. :) I'll be trying this next time I felt my piano.

The old piano was unpleyelable.
Filipe you win the internet :)
Great quote #4:30 : "What I love about the piano it's a bit of a kind of Victorian piece of mad machinery!"
Lovely video! Cool sounds!

Okay no worries , love your vblog and really appreciate all the samples you provide!
Ricky, that's lovely. And off course a big thanks to Christian for making this.
Thank you, great sound as always
Must try this on my Yamaha C7!
Love Eric Satie! :) Respect your opinion. You're spot on about the human voice and piano. Sometimes I think modern music is far too "electronic."

Felt-piano-addiction-bug given to me by Mr. Christian Henson! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🥳🥳🤦♂️
8:16 I feel like there's a thief trying to lockpick in my right monitor. Cool, though - have downloaded the exs24 to play with.
Thank you for the video and insights! What mic and audio interface are you using? Can we use that to record and input that to our DAW?
DPA 4099
thank you! @@ImpromptuSession

How could you put gaff on such a beautiful piano!

Yes just find the group with the samples suffixed RT and turn those all down / off.
Can that be done on some of the Albion Tundra samples as well, I hear noises upon release that I wish I could turn down as an option? Thanks
I have olafur arnalds felt piano its amazing
Is all the video shot at Christian's home?
great!!

Remember the number one rule of Gaffer Tape: "If it can't be fixed with Gaffer Tape............ You're not using *enough*"
Is it just me or I already saw this a couple of weeks ago?
Help me out of this deja vu please...
Is it me or did I already see this 8 months ago?
12 cents! lol
Plastic wrap on the controller does wonders to the tone!
Most masterful composer of piano music is Eric Satie? You really mean that?
Too fast the demonstration how to put felt is not very useful is a pity
Not a fan of that sampled pedal sound at all. Just sounds like a distorted mess over the top of a lush piano. Totally kills it in my opinion.
