Enjoyed testing this multi process welder with Chuck. We don't weld very often in our home shops, so you may get a good laugh at our skill level. It was a fun day testing this machine, hope you like the review. All The Best....Dean
Hey guys, I’m betting you guys had a blast making this video it’s the same you couldn’t show all the footage for the camaraderie between the two of you both are great people and I appreciate you being in my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to see you guys this summer. Kimber
Great review guys. I have a SSimder welder myself and I have only used it one time on stick. So this is sort of a tutorial for me. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Awesome video guys! I've got 2 MIG, 2Stick, an FCAW, and a Plasma (that I need to fix) and I've been thinking an all in one might be the way to go... Thanks!
I have this welder ordered my old reliable blew out the magic smoke the last time I used it I've welded most of my life wasn't going to buy another being 66 I still have a tig welder but saw a fue video's of this welder and new id miss the mig welder and liked the cutting capabilities of this welder thanks for the video guy's
I hope I find a shop buddy as both of you have when I reach your age. I enjoyed watching your video and I thank you for the review and the laughs. Keep making these please.
I use flux core 99% of the time, cause the argon mix here break my piggy bank, 😞, Did learn a few yrs back froom Jody over 2 welding tips & trick's that the wheel tension must not be too tight that it crushes and breaks the flux as it feeds through the wheel. Also having the negtive cable to DPEN for flux core a must. Hope this tip helps in the future, did for me, Bear.
Thanks guys I have this unit just started using this great to see only have 110 as of now will get 220 hook soon your thoughts on 110v vs 220 v God Bless
Thanks for this great video (along with your others). Im days or a few weeks at most from pulling the trigger on my first multi-process welder, and this unit along with your video has moved itself into the lead contender. I'm a little worried about parts availability in the short one year and so need to think it over a bit, but this is looking like the way, just hope it doesn't prove to be disposable. Thanks again.
thanks for viewing, I did do a video on the earlier version...I gave to my friend Dean, the ayr cave shop and he just did a video on the unit...worth watching....best of luck
hey great video guys. I have my own welder that ive become accustomed to which is a AHP alpha tig 200x and it only has stick and tig but the amperages were similar to what you guys were using so great job on that. Tig is one of the hardest to learn so well done
Thank you for the in depth video! There's very little out there, and while I'm very interested in this machine, I am a little worried based on some of the reviews on the previous machine, but your review seems glowing. I guess seeing it in action for long periods of time would tell us a lot more about the longevity of the machine and ability to keep outputting well under heavy use, but your initial review looks promising! In the description, SSimder says you can only MIG aluminum, not TIG, but clearly you guys did TIG, and it seems great. How thick of aluminum do you think you could weld on 220 vs 110 with the tig and spool gun?
thanks for viewing and I understand your concerns, please note that we DID NOT tig aluminum, we used the spool gun to weld the aluminum, the aluminum we did with the spool gun was 1/4"...
Great video guys, I received mine without accessories foot pedal I want to purchase a aftermarket TIG torch with the amperage controls built directly in to the torch handle.I contacted SSimder and did not provide me any info. I just need to know the value of the potentiometer so i can order the right one . Thanks
Thanks for the video. I am looking at buying this exact welder. Wondering if they show any presets on the inside the side cover? Just some ballparks numbers to get you started. And fine tune from there. Again, thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
thanks for viewing and glad you enjoyed.....I am down with Covid, but if I remember correctly there was some info in the manual for presets....best of luck
There's no guide at all its all trial and error but I just ran 11lbs through mine this week.. plasma works great pulse mig is neat unfortunately most of my welding so far has been over head plates to a unibody so it's been tricky but 19/110 seems like a good spot for my use
When I set the machine the the foot pedal setting, the amperage is stuck at 140 if I try to move it down it goes back up to 140? watching your video the numbers were moving mine don't am I missing something?

Excited to get mine i ordered a few weeks ago supposed to ship by Saturday
I was looking to see if you did the spool gun on aluminum and stainless Steel. In your closing comments you said you did the aluminum. Thanks
Yes just the aluminum, I was surprised at how easy it was to get the feel for it. It wouldn't take long to start running some nice beads.

I have the machine packed away and it has been too long since the video....my suggestion is to contact SSminder with your issue....sorry
There was no mention one welding aluminum if you were on AC or DC I was under the impression you needed AC for aluminum
thanks for viewing and your question, the spool gun welding was on DC, this machine does not have AC
Hi... Thanks for the new review. Does the 2024 version have spot weld feature like previous version?
