What's happening in professional sports is the same trend that is happening in society as a whole: challenges to authority figures whether it be umpires, managers or cops.
Is there anything else in sports like everyones hatred for Angel Hernandez? Literally everyone from players to fans to announcers know he is just terrible at his job.
I have watched these for years and the broadcasters disgust me. I think we need more broadcasters who come up through the umpire ranks so not all broadcasters are in perfect line hating umpires who are doing their job, enforcing the rules of the game. The call being right or wrong does not matter so long as there is no favoritism. Players are paid much more than umpires and have more to lose being tossed; it would behoove them to keep their mouths shut and play baseball.
I agree... The broadcasters don't know CRAP!!! I'll admit there are some umpires that aren't that great, but they still have one hell of a hard job!!! Not to mention, we have no idea what the players really say to the umpires to get thrown out of a game...
@@questisinthejam almost but not quite. I like the human element of the umpires. We do not expect a batter to get a hit every time. I do not expect umpires to call the play right every time. These folks are highly trained. I was an ASA certified slow pitch umpire for many years. I loved doing it but could not shine the shoes of the umpires in the big leagues. What is disgusting are these infantile narcissistic over-paid players. Unless they believe the umpire is biased, shut up behave like an adult and play ball The jerk who throws his helmet gets tossed and might very well have cost the team several hundred thousand dollars for his lost playing time should be ashamed and the lemming public ought to stop idolizing these folks And tell these whining biased broadcasters to shut up.
