A Whitehaven Mouse Dilemma

A couple of mice have appeared in the backyard of my shop in Whitehaven Market Place. As the shop was formerly a bakery, it's not at all easy for small creatures to enter, except by the front door during opening hours. Hence, they're not a significant threat to me- but technically they are pests. Should I treat them harshly?
