BLABLABLABLABLABLA-Tonight? I went to this place, uuhm, whatsit called... Oh yeah, Peter's Desk. Very nice. Quiet place. Good menu, friendly service, quite original dishes! I had a couple of marker things -uuuh Pirsamcloro- a bit of multipen, and a big plate of graphite pencilling. Very unusual mix of savors, but it worked great! I liked the atmosphere, the customers...subdued but interesting. I heard a guy wondering about "idiosyncrasy", and in the end he was right: the word is used when referring to someone within a limited set of persons, not in an absolute, universal context. "Personality", on the other hand... Anyways, I'll go back, you wanna join me then?
I come from a family where everyone talks all at once, my partner from a family where they speak one at a time and are very polite. My partner finds my family exhausting. We're varied kinds of neurodivergent in my family so it's no wonder we have our own communication style. The art was great today. I really liked those coloured markers!
I started out with Rapid-o-graphs, left over from my one year in architecture school. But they were harsh and fiddly. Now I'm much happier using fountain pens.
Angel #161 & #171 I had a rainbow pen as a kid. Loved it. Sorry for the duplicate message: couldn’t edit the first one. Are we in mercury retrograde again? DELICIOUS description of the food/restaurant 😊 Love & light 🐻🕊️🫶 P. S. Excellent drawings as usual!
Hullo Peter, I have enjoyed watching your videos for quite some time. I especially enjoy just relaxing and seeing you create your drawings. I have tried to use alcohol markers and they have let me down for longevity. Dye based inks just don’t last. I have tried pigment based markers and had more success with the color lasting, yet it simply does not look or feel the same as you work! I have been working with watercolor paints much longer than just about any other medium, excluding pencils as most of us start there, I am no exception there! I have found that if you are not flooding the paper you can highlight your drawing with watercolor paint and it works quite well on most papers! I use a lot of watercolor paper for drawings. I like being able to use different surfaces and switching up my mediums without worry. I have gotten most mediums to “stick” to watercolor papers. I have even started working with soft pastels and I can add to my drawing/painting/print by putting down a clear gesso or spraying it with workable fixative! I have combined many different mediums for the mixed media artworks that I have made. I believe that you might enjoy combining your different styles together in one artwork and using a clear gesso or spray fixative will allow you to combine your drawing and painting into a single piece. If you were interested in doing this. I know most art supplies are the same across the spectrum, but Liquitex Clear Gesso has a grit that so many other clear gesso’s do not. I know it is more expensive, but unless you are going to add grit(I have tried pumice to cheaper gesso with some success, it is more work for sure) Liquitex has it built in so much easier to start out with that brand. Well I have run-on I hope you Peter as well as you dear reader has gleaned some intelligible information from my comment.
@@peter_drawsI really appreciated that they were real time and the footage was not sped up it feels more relaxed when there is less editing. But I also understand why that might be harder overall to do. Either way I really enjoy your content ❤
I kind of just liked the train of thoughts that had no goal in mind. They were nice for just relaxing or chuckling occasionally. I felt like I wasn’t missing anything if I closed my eyes. The length was good for not constantly media jumping.
The length & pace for me too! I miss drawing with Peter. Your chill vibe is perfect to keep me company while I dive in to a high focus activity, & not having to break my focus to put on a new video every 10-20 minutes is nice. Really love that last pencil drawing btw. Whatever the format, I'm always there for the art.
This might be a really silly request but I remember in a Reddit ama from about 6 years ago u mentioned how when u we’re in either first or second grade ur mom made u do a drawing textbook by Bruce McIntyre. I think it would be an awesome idea to have u fill it out and go through all the steps. I feel like it would just be a really satisfying video with ur commentary plus it would encourage others to the exercises with u
I'm having a fantastic time imagining this recording is from a conversation (rather than doing a voice over) and the rest of the people in the group are thinking "why is this dude talking so much... And why plugging squarespace mid flow" 😂
Well they are a lot cheaper and they seem to perform about the same, but I’m not a market expert. Plus my copic ones started to dry up, I guess they are kind of old
Yeah I am trying to figure it out, my setup is different than the last time I was streaming a lot, plus I want to try dual streaming to RUclips and twitch
'I feel like there are algorthims to the rythym of people talking' my man you have never sounded more neurodivergent. And considering this is your lovely, possibly ADHD self, that is impressive
that had me in stitches i dont know why, i dont think your trying to be funny. i think its like the Artistic Architype . my mind works that way . like most people think in a straight line but when the artistic mind thinks it mind maps in a certain way. like a spider web that connects to things by emotions less then ,........ oh now im doing it tooo hahahaha
Ah. Well answer this question. How do you say “thank you” without saying “thank you”? I’m sure once you figure it out you will realize how valuable these idiosyncrasy’s are. Reciprocation is one of the science of persuasions.
Yeah it’s a Japanese restaurant, but for some reason, that style of cooking the small morsels of meat at the center of the table is colloquially called Korean BBQ by a lot of people 🤷♂️
I wonder if you stuttering or hesitating in convo is coming out cause your brain picked up that people are open to imperfect people? There was a psychology study on a job interview. They happened to stage half the attendees as someone who was clumsy. Aka knock over the cup or drop something ect. These people were scored as more approachable than the others. People like imperfect people because they are relatable, approachable more human or less perfect. Good or bad reasons for it, they are better received.
Hm yeah I get that. Some of my classmates who became friends told me they didn’t like me at first because my posture was too good, so I believe what you’re saying about imperfect being more approachable.

had a bad day today, but seeing a new peter video improved it :] thanks, man!
I love you Peter, your videos are always so human. I really relate to them. Keep up the great work
That marker appetizer was exquisite! Looking forward to the main course. Cheers 🍻
Thank you for you peter!

The art was great today. I really liked those coloured markers!
Thank you for articulating my thoughts so well!
Hey Peter, you got my culinary doodle juices flowing. I’d like to see you do a video using Squid ink! That would be something to sea! 🎉🎉😊
I love the color in the marker drawing, those were amazing
The red he put down last was super nice --satisfying for some reason.
I started out with Rapid-o-graphs, left over from my one year in architecture school. But they were harsh and fiddly. Now I'm much happier using fountain pens.
Thank you for this. It's always good to see you dude
The use of colour is an wow moment thanks Peter for the inspiration
You're an amazing person peter
Love your style!
Thanks!

Watching now, but love your introduction…lol ❤
So it's not just me!
Ah, my kind of sommelier!
Dude, that's so relatable
I totally do that too! I catch myself wondering why im doing it AS im doing it 🤔😅 Good to know I'm not alone on this.
Pencil drawing looks like a monster eating a meatball with chopsticks!
I see different things in them! Lovely listening and watching you Peter!
I miss watching your videos.
Miss no more

I agree about the watercolor paper, it’s usually a very hearty and versatile paper, most stuff works on it pretty well.
Thanks!
Woah, thank you! First super thanks I ever saw!
Delectable!
Love the restaurant theme in this one 😂
Tasty drawings
The pens are nice but that sweater is 👨🍳😘
Yum drawing on a cake tonight? Oh … will wait for the cake
Do you think the podcast will ever make a return dear Peter? Appreciate your work.
What do you like about it that isn’t in my regular videos? The length? Or that it’s on podcast platforms?
@@peter_drawsmight be the length. Some of us just like hearing you talk for long periods of time 😂❤

Yes but I don’t have the book anymore unfortunately
@@peter_drawsI was practicing with it the other day u could easily look up a pdf and it’s online
Mmmmmmmm how tasty
Sometimes in conversation I use big words that I'm not sure of the meaning. It makes people think I'm very photosynthetic. Good video, thanks.
Yeah definitely, and thanks!
😂😂😂😂😂

More tutorial please ❤
Hey Peter, love these! Noticed you switched from Coptic markers to the Ohuhu ones. Any reason? Think they’re better?
Well they are a lot cheaper and they seem to perform about the same, but I’m not a market expert. Plus my copic ones started to dry up, I guess they are kind of old
I like to imagine you are superhuman and the video isn’t sped up u just draw this fast
Selection
Sounds romantic, lets spend this evening together Peter
Yeah, I enjoyed the time with you, Cya again Peter.
Does Peter remind anyone else of Gene Wilder? 😄
have you thought about streaming again, would love to see it!
Yeah I am trying to figure it out, my setup is different than the last time I was streaming a lot, plus I want to try dual streaming to RUclips and twitch
You have a girlfriend?! I’m devastated. Sigh. 😉
I love the black and red together. A little bit of a spooky, Twilight Zone vibe.

Yummy
Maybe you’re hungry 😊
Haha maybe so, seems true most of the time
That restaurant you took your girl to was Japanese, not Korean.

"Peculiar", as in, compared to the norm, but also., just.. normally peculiar!
