I’m excited for today episode as it’s a new interview with one of my favorite bands. ever...
it’s one from our series revelations where featured artists go deep on their biggest hits. Joseph Williams the son of legendary composer John Williams has been friends with Steve Lukather since they were kids. In the mid 80s, Joe came on as Toto’s lead vocalist for the albums Fahrenheit, from 1986 and the Seventh One in 1988, which included Toto’s last two major hits of the decade.
Pamela, who as a songstress seemed like as big of a knockout as Rosanna with it’s pedal to the medal Joe Williams vocal and the big bad horns and Stop Loving You, which was a massive hit for Toto worldwide. Lukather and Joe tell us the story of the former, including some great insight on recording it,
Lukather and Williams have both been busy during the pandemic each reading solo album that sound like they could be the next toto album, they tell us about that as well as what’s next for the one of the premier classic American bands. It’s always a great time whenever we hear from these guys.
Who is the biggest Rock and Roll hall of fame snub of all time? Toto is one of my picks, how about you ?
"Weird Al" Yankovic!
Survivor!
“Eye of the Tiger”, “Burning Heart”, “Is This Love”, “The Search Is Over”, and “High On You”....I mean, COME ON!!
Theiy are really some tslented musicians damn good in every position, underated.. How jeff porcaro was considered tje best drumer and it is so far! are in that situación.
Reo speedwagon and Styx
@@mikebaird5593
I had to look it up...I was surprised that Styx isn’t in the HoF!
I'm so thankful for these men honoring their Dads.
Musicians love Toto. Die hard music fans love Toto. Casual music fans love Toto. The fact they’re not in the RNR Hall of Fame says FAR more about the institution than it does about this incredible band.
Absolutely agree! But what are the criteria to get there? I’ve no idea!
@@vewilli very subjective criteria I guess
they never got enough credits for their work on the Dude, Thriller and running with the night
@@maartijff144 you mean my favourite album being „The Seventh One“ is subjective criteria? Of course it is. Why not? Or what else do you mean?
@@vewilli the seventh one is great!!
I'm 68...From the first day I listened to TOTO I've been a huge Fan. Pamela and Rosanna are my two favorites. They've been at the top of my list since the late 70's. My sweet ex-wife surprised me with TOTO tickets last year. They brought a tear or two when I heard them live. So many amazing memories from their 40 plus years of killer music. All I can say is THANK YOU guys. Your music will last forever in my heart.
I've introduced my 6 year old to Toto and Rosanna is one of her favorites. She asks me sometimes "Mommy, do you hear Rosanna playing in your head?" Or "Mama do you here 99 playing in your head?"
I love it! I wanted to introduce her to REAL music with killer harmonies and amazing musicianship.
Mission accomplished.👍🏻♥️🇺🇸
I know that Lukather isn’t very fond of the song “99”, but it’s one of favs!
@@PhantomOfTheMall oh I've always loved that song. I think it's hard though to view one's own work objectively.
It's great that you're giving your child a proper education! :)
@@coloaten6682 thank you! She is a homeschooler and my hubbys a guitar teacher so she will be taught about the great music of the best decades👍🏻😎🇺🇸
Parenting done right. I did that with my kids growing up. Toto, Chicago, Kiss, Rush etc. they’ all like hip hop and rap, but they also like the bands listed above as well. When I play Led Zep they sing along
As a kid of the 70s and 80s, Toto was and is my all-time favorite band! I love how humble Joe and Steve are how quickly they are to give each other and other musicians credit. In today's culture of massive egos, it's so refreshing to see icons like Toto stay the endearing rock legends they are!
Agreed, they are different class of musicians
And Toto never received the respect they deserved, except for music fans like us.
Agreed 100% with you both!
They are not only great musicians but better persons , they have values some modern singers simply don't have ...They deserve to be mentioned in the HOF
@@freestyle3879 no doubt about it! On both counts!
Toto has so many great songs that were overlooked and never played on the radio. One of the Great American bands. Jeff Porcaro was one of the best session drummers to ever live. Kudos to the entire band. Without a doubt, one of the highest ranking bands with songs on the soundtrack of my life
RIP, J.P.
Toto may have the record for having the most songs named after women: Angela, Lorraine, Goodbye Elenore, Rosanna, Carmen, Holyanna, Lea, Pamela, Anna, Melanie, Chelsea - if you dated a member of Toto, you would become immortalized.
😁
Mushanga
Chelsea????
Rumour has it that Luke is writing a new song called Amber.
LOL Nice and so true.
Professor of rock, thank you so much for supporting Toto. They are beyond talented, they should be the biggest band on the planet! Highly underrated.
I was a few weeks ago years old when I learned that Toto played on Thriller, and I learned it here. I was today years old when I learned his father was John Williams. Two music degrees and you are still, by far, my favorite Professor. 🤘🎵🎧
Rock on!
Look up the interview where Lukather talks about himself, and Jeff Porcaro doing Beat it. Very entertaining.
Toto’s “I’ll be over you” was a massively underrated ballad. One of the greatest love songs ever. Just a beautiful, heartbreaker of a song. I can’t get my head around why that one didn’t chart higher. Maybe a good one to feature on your #1 in our hearts show.
I became a fan and loyal follower of this channel because of the Professor's love of Toto and it's musicians. I love Joe Williams and Lukather's singing voices. I can listen them talk about the appreciation of other musicians, producers, songwriters, the music industry and their talents for hours.
I'll be over you my all time favorite and Till the End from Fahrenheit
Ah, Pamela. Flash back to '88, sophomore year in college, and I fell hard for this new student, Pam, that had just transferred in. She ended up Friend-Zoning me, being new to the campus and not wanting to get tied down too quickly. My roommate just tortured me afterward, singing this song unprompted whenever he wanted to give me crap. Turns out, I really ended up loving the song, even after the real Pam had moved on and eventually got married out of college. Fast forward more than 20 years later, after two failed first marriages, we ended up re-connecting. Been married now since 2012, and couldn't be happier. And, this song still rocks! Only now, without the extra sting. I agree, Professor, Toto is one of the great American bands of all time. Without a doubt, one of the best collections of musical talent in one band. Thanks for the interview!
The Seventh One Is A Masterpiece. 💫
That‘s right. An incredible album!
I might be in a significant minority for this, but "I Won't Hold You Back" is an all-time favorite of mine. I guess because it means something to me emotionally.
I'm right there with you. That song is flat out gorgeous.👍🏻♥️
I just heard that song today!! Still sounds as good as it did back then. My all time favorite from them. Beautiful.
Hold the Line is also amazing!
Ditto!!💗
Me too!!
"The Seventh One" is my favorite Toto-album. Every song is a masterpiece, especially "These Chains". Great shuffle-groove by Jeff and phantastic guitar- and vocal-parts by Luke. ❤👌🙏
That track Is my favorite Toto song.... musicianship all around having Randy godrum (Steve perry's oh sherrie) as a cowriter along with Lukather
It's total bull@#$% that no members of Toto are in the Rock and Roll HOF.
You can say that again. Ridiculous.
HOF is a woke joke
The RRHOF is controlled by Jann Werner who is a fan-boy of The Boston Bomber. I do not want ANY group given a prestigious award and recognition by a man who idolizes child murderers.
TOTO is " THE RR HALL OF FAME"! Greatest musicians and music by a band in my lifetime, I'm GEN X, 1965 !
Bravo 👏 David, Luke,Jeff, Mike, Steve, Joseph,Bobby....and all the musicians who came in to " fill in" through the years!
Toto is STILL " on the Yellow Brick Road"...RIP JEFF, MIKE PORCARO...we'll see you guys somewhere over the 🌈 rainbow.
I totally agree. Toto as a band and them as session musicians should be made ire than enough. Speaking of which, session musicians like Jerry Hey, Gary Grant, Greg Phillinganes, Larry Carlton and Paulinho de Costa should also be inducted. Pick up virtually any album of the 70's and some 80's ones. Their name is on it somewhere. Horn players Tom Scott, Michael and Randy Brecker, and David Sanborn as well.
Pamela is one of many great Toto songs. I'd rank it up there with their other classic hits like Africa, Rosanna, Hold The Line, and I Won't Hold You Back. What I also love about Toto is that, over the years, they never changed their sound to chase the current music trends of the day. They kept their sound and style consistent. Not too many artists can claim that.
I've been a Toto fan since day one as an 18 year old who discovered music. Toto have the ability to move your soul. It took me 30 yrs to see them live and have now seen them 3 times in different incarnations. One of the biggest compliments I heard was at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. There was a young kid in front of me in the mosh pit and he said "they sound just like they do on their records". Kind of sums up how professionally tight and gifted they all are. The snub by the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame doesn't really matter. As Luke has said on numerous interviews "They hate our guts". To me they are, and always will be, genuinely passionate and extremely gifted musicians who just want to get out there and do their stuff for the people who really understand them and love them. They've been thru hell with the loss of Jeff and Mike, such tragedy, but they continue on in their eternal memory.
Thank for sharing the passion of Toto. Respect.
Very nice interview with Steve and Joseph. Toto is worthy to have induction in the Hall of Fame. They made classics, huge hits. John Williams is a genius, also composed the theme for Lost in Space, one of the GOATs.
I've always had a soft-spot for the album before "The Seventh One", "Farenheit". I love the opening track, "Till The End" and especially the absolutely wonderful "Lea". The end of "Lea" with the answering vocals is just so beautiful. Great album with some amazing songs.
This guy knows his shit, he's a walking encyclopedia of rock/pop.
Toto has been one of my favorite bands for 43 years now. Great interview as always POR
Thanks for listening
Still sing along to "Hold The Line". Turn it up everytime it happens to come on my oldies station.
When I play that song on the jukebox at the local watering hole, it instantly becomes "karaoke night" and everyone participates.
@@wilburrrrr742 Had a classmate in high school who would sing that song in a soprano voice. It cracked me up, but I think she was serious. 🤷♀️😄
Pamela... One of the best tracks Toto did!! Would love to hear about 'Girl Goodbye' from their debut album.
Check out the live performane of GG from Cleveland in 79. It rips!
“Waiting For Your Love” is a TOTO gem. A little funk groove and those TOTO layers. My favorite. Thanks for a great interview.
There's not a bad song on Toto four.
That and I'll supply the love should've been top 10 hits
Thx for this! Toto consisted of the finest musicians of the entire biz. Joe is such a tremendously good singer. Toto in general, and their records besides Toto I and IV in particular have def. deserved way more acknowledgement.
Please keep hangin' in there boys!
Moreover, when seeing Jeff in the videos, I'm still feeling this melancholic emptiness... He won't be forgotten.
I've loved Toto's music for many, many years, but only recently have I begun watching their videos. It's amazing how much more meaningful the music becomes when you learn something about the individual members of the band. Years after their deaths, I find myself grieving the loss of Jeff and Mike. It literally hurts me when I watch them in the old videos, and know they were cheated out of so much of their lives.
Some of my favorite songs - I Won't Hold You Back, I'll Be Over You - mean a lot more to me after seeing Steve Lukather singing with his heart in every word. I can't help feeling that he was singing about his own life.
I wish I had some way to let them know how their music affects me, and how much it has become a necessary part of my life. All of this is badly expressed, but definitely from my heart.
Toto is so talented yet underappreciated
Prof, thank you for telling them this community loves Toto. We do! Steve Lukather is finally getting the due that is long overdue! He is a genius!
Steve Lukather is, IMHO, the heir apparent to the greatest sessions musician of all times, Glen Campbell.
You win this thread
@ The same. For a short time, Glen Campbell was a member of The Beach Boys.
Absolutely......one particular album comes to mind......Thriller, Michael Jackson. People talk about EVH on Beat It (Steve created the iconic lick), but Lukather is ALL OVER THAT RECORD.
@ yup, one helluva session musician
John heart Ford...nuff said , stay out of courtrooms , overall
I won’t Hold You Back has always been my favorite song. So sad, so heartbreaking and in the beginning the piano just sucks you in and breaks your heart.
What Joseph is referring to was taking a job in the hospitality industry because he thought he was finished but he still felt a responsibility to provide for his family. That’s character.
Professor always a great interview with Steve and Joseph of Toto.
Pamela is one of my favorite of theirs. My first year of college! So many don't know how many great songs Steve Lukather played guitar on..."Beat It" Michael Jackson, "Love Me Tomorrow" Chicago, "Physical" Olivia Newton-John, "Running with the Night" Lionel Richie...many others...
That "Running With the Night" solo and the outro are downright sick. I can't believe that was in one take, and he didn't even know that they were running the tape! Most guitarists would have to spend weeks memorizing how to play that.
Physical, sung by Olivia but written by....who knows who?
Jeff Porcaro is the drummer on Running With The Night as well. So in my head it’s a Toto track with Lionel on vocals 😉🤣
@@tsitracommunications2884 John Farrar - he wrote most of this magnificent album of hers
@@georgesonm1774 pffffft you mean immoral album of hers. Only thing he is good for is flipping burgers
I FREAKIN LOVE THESE GUYS!! Their stories are AWESOME! I could listen to them talk for days!
Agreed! They are the best...
Toto is the biggest snub for the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. Seriously, there is not a better group of musicians in the world. Each of everybody in that band is considered at the top of their instrument class. Together, they are absolutely unstoppable. When I think of a true Musicians band, these guys are the first to come to mind. I truthfully don’t think there is anybody better.
Holyanna was another one of Toto's songs...upbeat and infectious..that became a kind of forgotten hit.
And All Us Boys. Both fun as hell

E
@@heidichristensen7919 "All Us Boys" is awesome- it's probably the closest they ever came to sounding like The Clash... Just demonstrates how eclectic their sound is!
Isolation is one of their best albums...
Criminal "Endless" was not the lead single from it.
The entire disc is Toto fire.
Jeff Porcaro for Toto is one of the best drummers i have ever seen. He is so intense hitting that cymbal saying I am here watch out! Awesome song writer and producer. RIP my friend!
"A thousand years" the gem of this album in my opinion
Exactly. And 'These Chains'.
Absolutely
Please don't forget "Home of the brave" !!
Thanks so much for this Awesome interview. They are hands down my favorite band ever and seeing them play live is off the charts!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"I'll Be Over You" was so good. Steve is a massively underrated vocalist, probably because he's obviously one of the best guitar players in existence. That and I Won't Hold You Back, besides Pamela are my favorite Toto songs.
I love "I'll be over you" too but I'm surprised how rarely that song was played live. They played it during the Fahrenheit tour, of course, and just maybe 5 times after, but not much more ...
I just love these three dudes - Joe, Luke, and Prof.
It's so refreshing to hear these guys giving so much credit to all the others who contributed to their success.
Favorite Toto Album - Turn Back - Top to bottom pure awesome! Goodbye Elenore is about as perfect as you can get.
So good. Love the title track on that too.
15:21 "I was just messin' around". That's a humble guitar god right there.
Pamela, killer song, killer vocal. Tough song to sing.
Always loved 99!
Toto has a great catalog of music. I think 99 is highly underrated and forgotten. Surprised Sesame Street never capitlized on it like other pop comtemporary songs.
Good call.
I love 99 especially when you here the full version and not the 45 edit.
Lukather dislikes "99" intensely. Never understood why. I personally love that song.
I will never forget 99 !
I've heard 99 was inspired by the chick on Get Smart.
The Seventh One really holds up with it’s rich production & excellent musicianship. Every song is perfect! Great interview!
Pamela & Home of the Brave are my personal favorites.
My wife used to run the official Toto Fanclub and was there in the studio when Joe originally auditioned for the band. She said he was copying the sound of other singers like a chameleon.
Yeah in interviews Joe tells about that moment. Somewhere (don't know which interview or article) he said he tried to sing as much like Bobby Kimball as possible. He was really good in imitating other voices. For example, on his Early Years album he sounds similar to Michael Jackson.
Lauri? From Toto Legend?
@@ORLOSTguy Lauri was my wife's roommate back then, she took over for her.
@@Vyan00 Very cool. Small world. I used to do art work for Toto Legend and designed the logo.
I feel like here in the US, "Stop Loving You" never got the appreciation it deserved.
One of the greatest bands ever!
Going back to Fahrenheit, how "I'll Be Over You" wasn't a top 10 hit (more like a number one hit), is beyond me. Seriously.
Toto is definitely love on this channel!! Toto is right behind Journey as one of the greatest bands of the 70s/80s.
One of my favorite videos you've done! Love Luke! He's one of my favorite musicians of all time! Man, him and Jeff and Paich were just a force of nature! Thanks for the great interviews!!!
keep the faith guys...we need you to bring real music to us fans. one of the things that make life worth living. Thank you
Pamela is such a great song, seriously underrated by so many people. Stop Loving You is also an amazing song.
Thanks for this. Pamela has always been my favorite Toto tune (along with Rosanna, of course). LOVE the way piano/bass/drums in the verses. KILLER!!! And Luke is a great story teller. His autobiography “The Gospel According to Luke” is fantastic.
Im a hard rock kind of guy but Toto has a special place in my heart. I remember first hearing the song Hold the Line back in the day as a 8 year old and was blown away. The first Toto album I bought was Isolation while back in High School. I havent missed an album from these guys. Im always pumped up when I see any members named or the band in your Video headline.
Favorite band
Favorite album
Lot of gems like stop loving you, only the children, home of the brave etc...
Nice job on this! Like how you have MJ’s Thriller directly above 2 other Toto albums. As most fans will know, Thriller is basically a Toto album with MJ singing. Perhaps in the future, you can tell the story of how Only You from Kingdom of Desire was almost the love song for Top Gun.
Thank you for this interview with two of the members of Toto! One of my all-time favorite bands EVER! So many songs that I love from every album they've ever created. Songs like Child's Anthem, Good-bye Girl, Rock Maker, Lorraine, 99, A Million Miles Away, Could This Be Love, Lea, Isolation, Manuela Run, I'll Supply the Love, Live for Today, English Eyes, Goodbye Eleanor, Goin' Home, Stop Lovin' You, Pamela. So many GREAT SONGS!
One of my favorite bands of all time. Just love the creative collab of Steve and Joe.
What a great conversation!! Never get enough of their stories!!
Steve and Joe are really great, humble guys. They still have a passion to create. I definitely need to pull out Fahrenheit and The Seventh One. Not to mention picking up their new solo albums. Another great video, Adam. Enjoy your weekend.
I put the CDs in my car a couple of years ago and never took them out!
The Seventh One is my fave album after IV....just amazing...then Isolation has to be 3rd! GREAT stuff!
Isolation was an underrated album for sure! As much as I love both Joe and Bobby's voices, I think Fergie Frederiksen - who sang lead on only that album - doesn't really get his due. I would love to see "Angel Don't Cry" featured on here!
Another great interview! POR, you're killing it with the content!
Got in early on this one! :D
I'm such a Toto fanboy! :D These guys are my musical heroes and "The Seventh One" was the album that properly reeled me in back in the day... I was about 12 or 13... (I'm 43 now!) - I found an instant attraction to Joe's high strung vocals but beyond that, a lot of my favourite tracks out of the whole Toto catalogue are on it. I called "Home of the Brave" my favourite song on the album for a long long time (Listen to it loud and with a good pair of headphones - Goosebumps I tell you!) - Any stories you can draw out of the guys on any of those songs would be a whole world of awesome.
You made my day so thanks for that!
Amazing how gracious Joseph is about questions about his dad. He must get tired to some degree of what must be constant questions and he is always very patient and happy to share. Good on him...
I became a total fan in 82 with the release of Toto IV. I quickly discovered the rest of their catalog, and I am a lifetime fan.
Brilliant interview...much appreciated...love these guys!!
So much great music produced by these artists. I still hold "You Are the Flower" close to my heart as one of my favorites; the swing, the flute... just incredible. I can't think of a single Toto song I don't like! :)
Another awesome interview. Many thanks to Luk's late father for sacrificing for his genius son. 👍👍
Thanks for listening
@@ProfessorofRock ALWAYS a pleasure
I once read, quite a while ago and I can’t remember where, that on the day Luke recorded the guitar solo on “Pamela” he had been golfing with Eddie Van Halen. When he got in the studio, Paich said, “Let’s hear some of that Van Halen stuff.” It’s exactly what I imagine Luke imitating Eddie would sound like.
Adam, I always enjoy your interviews and insights into rock music history, but you knocked it out of the park with this one! Toto is hands-down my favorite rock band of all time because of the sheer virtuosity of musicianship. The original lineup of David Paich and Steve Pocaro on keys, David Hungate on Bass, Steve Lukather on guitar, the legendary Jeff Pocaro on Drums, and the incredible vocals of Bobby Kimball, Toto was production perfection.
Having been a complete music nerd for my entire life, I always loved reading album notes to find out who the players were on my favorite records. After hearing Hold the Line on the radio, I checked out the lineup, and when I saw that many of the players I had seen on many of my favorite albums were the members of Toto, they hooked me in immediately!
When I heard Toto VI, I knew this band was legendary! Songs like Rosanna, I Won't Hold You Back, and Africa (ironically, the first music video I saw on a new cable channel called MTV) are still in my regular rotation. I still have my original vinyl and the CD, downloads, and the All In box set!
But it was when Joseph Williams joined the band for Fahrenheit that locked me in as a fan forever! Joe has the most versatile rock voice that I have ever heard, and his work on The Seventh One is my favorite. Pamela and Stop Loving You are perfect songs! And the deep cuts from that album make it a sonic treasure. Home of the Brave is one of my go-to songs when I need a pick me up, written with the legendary Jimmy Webb!
I was so glad to see that Luke and Joe put the band back together and made the commitment to tour again. I am especially looking forward to their Dallas date in April when they will be at the American Airlines Center along with Journey! That is going to be an epic evening of music! I can't wait to hear what they are going to do and look forward to much more great music in the future!
Great segment. Never enough Toto.
Superb interview with Luke & Joseph. Two chill geniuses. Love them!! ❤
Thank you for getting these guys on here! Have such great memories of them when I was a kid - one of my favorite groups! Love the story of his Dad - that's truly a Father's love.
Pamela is kind of like Van Halen’s Poundcake-but more on the jazzy and sweetly melodic side. My favorite Toto song.
Great song from a great album! My favorite album of theirs will always be Turn Back (Hydra’s a close 2nd), but love them all and really dig the new solo material from Steve and Joe! Keep on rocking...
Geez! “Pamela” was such a good song. I can’t sing loud enough when I hear it! And my version is pretty bad, but I don’t care...
Btw, the new album covers remind me of the KISS solo albums of the 1970s.
OMG, I can't wait to see them!!! Awesome musicians!
One of my favorite all time bands. Good interview.
Big fan of your channel. We need more people like you (POR) in my neighborhood.
Wow. I'm seriously embarrassed that I don't remember "Pamela"--what a killer song!
One of the best thing about these vids is seeing these guys and gals and that made our lives so amazing for so many years still doing well and still kicking.
Two absolute legends! Love The Seventh One and the whole Toto catalog. Keep on rocking!
"Pamela" "Holyanna" "Could This Be Love" "Hold The Line" "Rosanna" "Orphan" are some of my favorite Toto tunes.
Pamela should've been a much bigger hit. It was their best single since Africa.
Failed to make top 50 here in Australia spent one week in top 100 at 94
I never heard it back then. Just listened to it...not a fan. 😞
Funny thing was that my local oldies station played Pamela last night on my way home from work; first time I've heard it in years
@@Tomes23 pls delete your account
It was a catchy hit and it got frequent airplay one minute and was gone the next. I heard it here and there on radio then but the fact the record company issue happened explains why it didn't go higher because it moved steadily up charts and abruptly stopped. I heard Stop Loving You on complications and no reason that couldn't have made top 40 as well.
FaaaaaaaaanTastic!! POR, great job and one of the best short form interviews I have seen with them. Both of their solo albums are SOLID!! To see and hear the energy and passion for their craft is addicting. Love you guys always, Toto IS and has always been my favorite band. The fact that we have new material from these guys with the diversity of flavor and colors...that is a concert I really look forward to. I have only seen them three times but once with Jeff for the Seventh One tour, also my favorite drummer of all time.
The new band just seems like a lean mean machine, everyone sings, lots of keyboards, and the new guy is a monster on the sticks.
Thank you to the Moon Toto and POR (glad you are feeling better).
I think Stranger In Town is one of their best songs and it wasn't a huge hit. Awesome video. Toto is one of my favorite bands.
Yes, can Professor do a story on that song and video. Brad was refectory in that video, based on the movie Whistle down the wind
Paich wrote that track from a newspaper he was reading. John Lennon did the same for one of his songs (but I don't remember its name).
One of the things that I've been doing recently is going back to songs I heard as a kid/teenager but never really got into until now. "Pamela" was definitely one of those songs that I just rediscovered, so the timing for this video couldn't have been better for me.
Great interview! I forget how great Toto is. You have me digging through my vinyl for this LP.
I was just thinking about Steve Lukather earlier today and how awesome his playing is, was telling my wife how much I love his work on the Tube's, "Talk to ya later". Then I saw your video and was blown away! Awesome episode Professor! These guy's are some of my all time favorites! Thanks for sharing!
Rock on!
I downloaded 50 Toto songs that I love. They are such a great group and have loved there songs since i found out about them in the 80s. There videos and live performances are outstanding. Keep Rockin!
Great interviews!!!!
I Love TOTO!!!
THEN AND NOW♥️🥰✌
What a great interview, thank you guys. Adam I hope you're keeping well my friend, you look tired. Love you, God bless. xx
I've always thought of myself of kinda a music nut , knowing by memory years and dates that music came out , but hearing the back story to Toto and other bands just blows my mind🤯🤯🤯🤯
Professor...It's just so damn amazing what you bring to us. I love you. Thank you so much!
I hit the like button before I even watch the video. I just love this dude's voice. Casey Kasem? Wolfman Jack? Mike Rowe? This dude could hang with all of them.
I'm kind of a late-coming fan of Toto. They're such great musicians and they have some great tunes. I first became aware of Steve Lukather because he played some killer guitar riffs on a couple of tracks on Earth, Wind and Fire's Faces album. At the time, I thought he was just a session musician. It was probably 25 years later than I became aware he was one of founding members of Toto. So I started listening and became a fan! Great interview, Adam.
