Awesome demo Chris. I got this set for the box too but ended up using them because the color selection is so dope! I did a color chart and they mix well and are all lightfast according to prima. Somewhere I found names but they aren't the traditional names so they're kinda meaningless. Anyway... Love your videos keep doing what you're doing. Found the link: www.google.se/amp/s/doodlewash.com/2016/11/26/doodlewash-review-prima-watercolor-confections-sets/amp/ And here's a list of possible equivalents I found: 21 Hansa Medium 16 Green Gold 14 Yellow Ochre 17 Perinone Orange 13 Viridian 18 Phthalo Green rs 15 Cobalt Blue 23 Prussian Blue 20 Dioxazine Violet 22 Quinacridone Violet 19 Permanent Rose 24 Burnt Sienna
geckonia Yea the colors really surprised me, seeing that the price is under $20. In definitely going to keep mine around to play with, just maybe not in the box lol. Thanks for the feedback and the color names!
“Decedent pies” is the name of one of their sets . I bought that set and have used it quite a bit. Love the colors, they are very earthy and rich and I highly suggest them. Also Thank you for your review! I just bought this set and I can’t wait to get them!
I think every single one of us actually got this exact set of paints specifically for the box and ended up actually liking the paints themselves. Funny how actually pretty great paints and a box are cheaper than just a box, eh?
I love that you talk about how water sometimes does what it wants and how you have to react to it, like when the blue bloomed in your yellow. That is actually very valuable info for a beginner like me who gets frustrated when water goes all over and I'm like OMG how can I fix this?
I like this set too. I bought it as something cheap and easy to walk around with but when I did a color chart I was amazed by the mixtures. I also bought it for the box but don't have the heart to not use the paints.
I love your bird :-) I also really like the Tropicals set. I just received them as a gift. I have W&N artist grade paints as well, but these are fun and unusual colours. I don't have these shades in my other paints and although they can probably be mixed, I like to just be able to reach for them. You are right, they wet and lift really easily. Cotman paints, especially if they are getting on in years, dry out very hard indeed.
Prima is a Wellknown brand for us scrapbookers, like to see demos on all those watercolorbrands, wich one I’ll choose. Today I decide that I need better papers to get better result when I practise, I hate those dark edges the colors get on cheap papers. Mabye I’ll get more satisfiera with the result. Last year I bought watercolors from China in a green rectangle box, nothing to put in a pocket, so my next buy mabye Will be a pocket box, but I’ll go for Daniel Smith or schm.....

I'm planning on doing a color chart also, excited to see how they will mix.
i like that they include a canvas to make a swatch. fits the tin perfectly
Yea its a real thoughtful addition, especially because of the lack of names and info on the colors.
