I was on a barge holiday on the Grand Union Canal when this was a hit. Ten of us on a narrow boat. The sun never stopped shining and this became our anthem. Fantastic memories.

Tracey was a very promising pop star 1983 -- 84 but she didn`t like the hard work side of pop industry (touring, TV performing, publicity stunts), so she ended it.
She did right, made a nice few $$$$$$'s in the U S of A
.........."so she ended it." and became a much bigger star who utilized her many talents with a much longer career then she could ever have hoped for as a pop singer who did covers ???
She was in TV comedy before her pop hits,primarily in sketch show Three of a Kind together with Lenny Henry and David Copperfield.

I don't think so, she was not a big star. I only have They Don't Know, and it was produced by Peter Collins and is on Stiff Records. All her recordings have this great beefy sound, similar to Spector's.

Why did people make such a fuss about Especially For You? This Sunglasses video has a much better-looking blonde pair! (Oh yeah, and it's a better song, too.) Well, the world had been hypnotised by Neighbours; as Eddie said in Bottom, when the Neighbours theme-tune came on, "it could be any time, really."
