It is Criminal how underrated this OG RUclips video is. I watched this for the first time when RUclips just started back then
I truly love this video. The editing is so perfect!
I love the part where Burt Reynolds and Dustin Hoffman are reduced to tears..friggin brilliant man, great editing job here!..one of the best on youtube!
This is one of the very best videos uploaded to this site. Edited to perfection. 12 years later, I still rewatch it everytime I need a laugh.
Top quality comedy right here! This is an amazing edit 🤣
And your movie short "Into the night" is so good as well!
'A ticket to dream.' You sir, are a genius. Keep em coming, DR
How the hell does this not have millions of views?
This is absolutely brilliant, more so because I watched that AFI tape constantly after it aired, so I know which movies they're really talking about. Great job. You nailed it!
This video was sooooo funny!! Hahaha It's so well edited. It feels as if it was actually one of the AFI's videos.
This is an amazing video. Thanks for making this.
This is honestly the greatest thing I've ever seen
I like how this video pokes fun at the pretentiousness of most actors and directors
this is so brilliantly edited.
awesome! i loved how scorese is talking about the bar scene and you cut to him at the bar. awesome just awesome
Fantastic work.
That was brilliantly done.
anchorman is a classic. will go down in history, i have no doubt. really well made movie :) and this parody video is also very witty, will ferrel would laugh his ass if he sees it :))
Very well done

Great stuff.
Great stuff
anchorman is in my opinion a work of art.
Anchorman is like those movies that are always good in small doses haha. Brilliant.
Two things: #1 In your dreams. #2 Fantastic editing.
Sooo good! I haven't laughed this hard in a while
One of the funniest videos out there. Anchorman is a GREAT movie. A GREAT movie.
This is amazing. I almost wish it was real...
loooooove it!!!!
This video will bring a smile to anyone who watches it :)... and at least 100 laughs
oh man, I think I broke a rib whilst laughing during this video hahaha
this look good, i mean really good..hey every one!! come and see how good this editing look!!!
From Academy Award Winner Adam McKay everyone!
The magical world of rotoscoping. I just cut it out of the "Citizen Kane" clips in After Effects.
best movie of the decade
Does anyone have a list of the film(s) they are talking about?
@waxonwaxoff14 Reynolds is talking about "To Kill a Mockingbird" and Hoffman is talking about "Tootsie".
honestly any negative comments on this completely baffle me.
lol! Good job on this one man
Awesome, I wish it showed Jack Black punting his dog. That would have put it over the edge to "Totally Awesome".
5*
What film is Burt Reynolds and Dustin Hoffman really talking about when they are overwhelmed by tears?
this is awesome haha
it's cool :]
they arent even talking about anchorman. they're commentators on the movie "Citizen Kane"
he edited the video to make it look like they are talking about anchorman. SHEESH!
@JamesDunn1987 Was there really a nurse standing by the door? I remember my Film teacher saying that was a mistake, and I thought he was a knowledgable guy.
The guardian brought me here
Knights of Columbus that's outstanding !
This is funny (and adding the AFI logo is well done) but goes on too long. I kind of cut out after 3:00. There's another vid that shows "300" at the #1 film and was about the right length.
Hoffman tends to cry a lot
Totally hilarious! lol
Sure
lmao, they worked it out beautifully
@19torento
The nurse standing by the door heard Kane say 'Rosebud'. No plot hole.
i think he meant spliced.
i know it was a joke, that was a reply to some dude who thought it was real.
I guess what bothers me so much is I'm seeing so many commentators I have respect for -- as filmmakers -- talking so seriously about a movie that I wouldn't consider a film. I don't have much respect for Will Farrell.
Ha Ha. Dustin Hoffman is the best part
WTF ! It took me almost half the video to realize this commentary was fake.LMAO !
Anchorman > Citizen Kane
The funniest part of this is how ridiculously pretentious the actors and directors speaking about the movies are, and how over-the-top the AFI presentation is with all the grand, sweeping majesty-all intercut with the _Anchorman_ footage. See kids, THIS is what the internet used to be good for. Creative, hilarious and just really bizarre stuff. Now it's memes, cat videos, reaction videos, and people getting paid millions of dollars to play video games.
Is this by any chance making fun of Eva Mendes?
sorry mate, I guess I was doing the same thing to.
Isn't sarcasm wonderful?
LOL
@ResidentSociopath
way to miss the joke pal.
Alright, this is a Great Video. Truly. I could for real prattle on like the Hollowood deuces SO EMBARRASSINGLY DO in those clips . . . but it's too goddamn long. WAY too long. For something like this (which, come on-it's got ONE JOKE. A good one, but it's just the one) it should be TOPS 3 minutes. Give equal time to the MORONICALLY dense, flowering, ponderous NONSENSE from the celebrities, intercut that with the clips from the movie . . . bam. Tight. Hilarious. the kinda thing that might CATCH with a larger audience.
Oh well. I suppose this is the Director's Cut (for which I'm eternally grateful).
I could, realistically, watch a 2-hour version of this video.
Why the hell was "Citizen Kane" considered such a great movie?! Sure, it only had three mistakes in the whole thing, but if one of them makes the plot completely flawed... Incidentally, for those of you who don't know, nobody was in the room to hear Citizen Kane say "Rosebud" at the beginning of the movie, so how would anybody know to find out about that word? It makes the plot and whole movie completely flawed and, for the most part, pointless.
Are they serious? I think I just lost respect for Hollywood.
