Great review, been buying alien ware for years, bought 1 in 2009 that lasted over 8years, during those 8 years my ex threw it out of the window (2x) from the first floor, jumped on it in anger with a weight of about 75kg and although the casing was broken, all the hardware still worked fine and the screen didn't have a scratch! true story

Just wanted to note this laptop isn’t heavy for a gaming laptop. I just checked the weight for the current 16” MacBook Pro and according to Apple, it weighs 4.8 pounds. It weighs 5.3 pounds for the GeForce 3050 Ti and 3060 and 6 pounds for the higher GPUs. Even with higher GPU it only weighs 1.2 pounds heavier than the much thinner MacBook Pro. Also I wouldn’t get the i9 version. It’s the same exact cpu as i7 just with 500MHz more speed which is not worth the cost difference. The Mobile GeForce 3070 TI is the same GPU as the Mobile GeForce 3080Ti just with higher clock speed and double the video memory. Just note that Double the video ram doesn’t improve graphics all that much. Many people confuse the performance gains of increased System RAM and Video RAM. This is why GPUs such as the desktop GeForce 1060 3GB can well outperform a GeForce 1050 Ti with 4GB of video memory. I personally don’t think the 500 dollar difference is worth the cost for minimal real world performance boost.
The i7 and i9 comparison is fair, however according to the Intel ARK comparison tool there are more security & reliability features with the i9. Namely with regards to encryption, virtualization, remote erase, recovery and management.

Decided to talk to a sales rep and I must have been extra nice because he ended up giving me a 15% discount as an exception on top of it. $1462 total so I'm pretty psyched despite me not being an Alienware fan in general!

That was 100c MAX.. 71 and 68C ^ were the actual 'values' or average C found 68_70 on GPU. And it said 47C low. I know you got paid so you didn't mention that it average 60s-70s IN STRESS STRESS TEST ultimate gaming or RTX gaming max settings ain't far off 'rendering' dog. And 68C average or even 71C average is SUPER you know it too, so you didn't mention it. It's a 5 lb laptop if anything it's closer to that most of these models a 5lb laptop that can do this, look like Alienware m15 does and what 8-9 hrs with smart management and rtx 3060 and 3070 not far off battery times. I dont meant to come here rambling about my take on this. I meant to just state, my opinion, you are wrong when you say throttling issues it's a laptop, for this ranges, 68C average and 71C, I guess CPU 68 ? Either way both those numbers are amazing or in range with high end laptops. Maybe not best ever, but you to brush over 'colors' when it has 100percent rgb 240hz QHD panel 400 nits all glossed over by you, and the temp throttling, you show only max C to make your case better. Why not show max C and mention what you said, but then show both min and AVG C in really good range, so you all should be fine if STRESS TEST gave those avg C y'all should be okay even rendering but don't expect top top top top of line, just high end cooling.

This is really underperforming for the specs. I'm running 12700H with 32GB DDR4-3200 with 3070ti in a MSI Vector GP66 and my Firestrike Extreme is 14706 and Time Spy 12251. My Cinebench R23 is also over 16K. With the DDR5 memory you should be able to put up better scores than my machine.
Cant wait just bought it with amd cpu portable pcvr woop woop
Hold on how much did Razer pay you guys? HAHAAH joke I guess. Read on. You said it reached 100c it is bad can throttle possibly on.. rendering? Wtf u talk? That was 100c MAX.. 71 and 68C ^ were the actual 'values' or average C found 68_70 on GPU. And it said 47C low. I know you got paid so you didn't mention that it average 60s-70s IN STRESS STRESS TEST ultimate gaming or RTX gaming max settings ain't far off 'rendering' dog. And 68C average or even 71C average is SUPER you know it too, so you didn't mention it. I'm obviously kidding about 'paid' thing, this Alienware Rocks and for the less price than usual alienwares with 5.5 lbs or less even for m15 and x series, where you getting these 6s lbs? It's a 5 lb laptop if anything it's closer to that most of these models a 5lb laptop that can do this, look like Alienware m15 does and what 8-9 hrs with smart management and rtx 3060 and 3070 not far off battery times. Crazy. Obviously you mention this kind of stuff in the review, and the screen being in reality 111% srgb. With 400 nits my screen rated for. with 2ms or 3 wow!
1080p lol

Inches and pounds ? Sorry but not all viewers use or understand USA's antiquated measurements systems. Please add metric system, thanks
It doesn’t have USB-C power delivery.
From the tech specs on Dell's site; it does have a usb c with power delivery
It has a type c power delivery
It does actually
@@abishek4300 It actually depends. I have the m15 r7 with AMD 6900hx and I do not see PD on the back port.. just display port.
@@bkk3782 doesn't your 6900HX overheat? This chassis with maxed out specs tend to over heat.
You talk zero about repairability and upgradeability. Shame.
This Alienware is the worst laptop anyone can buy. It doesn't last.the mother board goes bad so so easily and would stop displaying... Run from Dell Alienware... I regretted ever spending so much buy such useless laptop...
@yt 1234 just expired about a month now n system just stopped working...
Dell is not a good product.
A system of such price lasted only 1 year and 1 month...
Just amazing
