Bonjour Madame Dylane, For inversion referring to one person I thought it was vous because tu I thought it was only informal. I had been confused about questions until today that I found your lesson and I understand it all now with your perfect teaching, except for vous and tu. My gratitude for your unique and extraordinary work.
I love this series of lessons! I noticed that the tone changes and facial expressions subtlety changes when you speak the formal vs informal sentences, this helps me to remember the grammar and the context.

I am following every video of you. Structured, thorough, native pronounced, explained in English. I am curious if you attended university in Belgium, which one? I studied in "Instituut voor levende talen" in Leuven for Flemish, later advanced English; lang, lang geleden, but after 1969, when KUL split.
I am impressed with the passion to teach of those teachers at the instituut, always tried to feed students as much general theory as possible in addition to a specific exercise/usage. I am even more impressed with their competence, they did so in teaching Flemish, but equally qualified in teaching advanced English, and then telling me their real strength is German. Fantastic experience. Best luck to you.
Finally understood questions! In the exercises (2.32). There's a lot of places we put the adjective (Quand etc.) at the end of the sentence. Is there a way to tell if it goes before or after the sentence? And would it be wrong if I have the placement in front?
How are you Mrs Dylane, I'd like to thank you for this interesting course. I also want to ask you a question; is it right to use (pourquoi et comment) in the end of the informal question. I found them in the beginning of the informal question in the examples used in the lesson, thus I am little confused.
Oh I see why you are confused. You can say "Comment tu vas ?" How are you? But "Tu vas à l'école comment / comment tu vas à l'école ?" How are ou going to school? Both can work. If you have a specific example I can explain you more :)
2:50 the thing I've been struggling the most, is that french is pronunced soooo differently than how its written... Spanish is much easier from that point of view, you know🙂... Like.. Comment (you know how we read it in English ) becomes "co-mo" in french... What the hell... Im soo bad at it
Did you know tat I have a free pronunciation course that you can watch as well? It's under a playlist, you should check it out. It will give you all the secrets of the why's and how's ;)
If you could clarify something for me please. When discussing "Comment allez-vous" you made a reference to not being able to use it for a women but to use Tu. I do not understand. Another question, is Combien more used for how much and combien de for how many ?
Mike I will have to rewatch this video, but I think (I hope) I said for a casual question. if it's one person that you know, you can't use vous. And for your second question, I should have added this, we don't have the difference in French between How much and How many. Combien de temps est-ce que tu as besoin ? = How much time do you need? Combien d'amis est-ce que tu as ? = how many friends do you have? I hope I answered your questions :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Yes, thankyou. I think you used the word women to indicate it was singular, I now understand. I didn't know that in french how much and how many is treated the same. It is mostly so different in Engish.

I had been confused about questions until today that I found your lesson and I understand it all now with your perfect teaching, except for vous and tu.

It depends, usually it’s more common to use a regular question with tu but in exams and tests you still have to use the inversion :)
I love this series of lessons! I noticed that the tone changes and facial expressions subtlety changes when you speak the formal vs informal sentences, this helps me to remember the grammar and the context.
I do have a very expressive face so I am glad it's useful :D
Un grand merci, Dylane

I studied in Namur actually :)

It depends on it being formal or informal. Tu arrives quand ? Informal - Quand est-ce que tu arrives ? A little bit more formal :)
Hi Dylane, in some examples in formal, you used 'tu', shouldn't we use vous instead there?
No both are fine. Depends if it's formal or informal :)
Merci~

@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane In the example combine de -- I had the query with reference to the word "amis" which is plural so should it be "des"?
