The Switch Reminds me of the good old 2012 when I used to play MK9 all day everywhere on my Sony PlayStation Vita
MK makes more sense on vita though.

Gilvan Filho the switch port is suprisingly good, and the updates are gradually improving it, but overall, its a switch, so you cant expect it to hold up to the other versions.

Now that I have hands on. I will say I’m satisfied. Some characters and stage combinations work better than others I find. From a visual perspective. But the game delivers overall. Runs solid. Fighting is fluid and feels real good. Helps that it’s been a couple years since I have played a ps4 too lol
Meanwhile in my country we say “thank God” for a two hour download for 20gb

When doing a fatality, you have to hit the buttons fast. Also you hit the attack button at the same time you hit the last move button. You don’t go “back, down, down, Y”. You go “backdowndown+y”.
TBH for an old tegra GPU this game looks quite good on this device

They approximate the minimum of games in the devices for example if it was 13.5 gb it would be written 10 gb and if it is 16.1 gb because it is so near to the 20 gb it said 20 gb in the game
Mark, do you think that the fact that the game needs to be online to progress the story and be able to collect things is a dealbreaker? People keep saying that it's a bad game for the switch but your gameplay makes me want to give it a try.

One of the things I’ve noticed is that the switch doesn’t have the character animations when you pick a character on the select screen
Yeah i saw that too lol. It doesn't even have that little animation where they fight in background while you pick the stage.😅
They had to sacrifice stuff like that to make it run smoothly on the switch

Remember how when original mk was released and Nintendo was not happy with the violence so they changed the color of blood to green lol
Actually it was changed to look blueish they said it was sweat. The fatalities were also toned down. Johnny Cage kicked the opponent in the chest, Kano punched the opponent in the chest, Raiden (spelled Rayden in game) shocked to a pile of dust and Sub-Zero froze the opponent then shattered them. Sadly it was the better looking of the console releases. It was visually a strong port that looked better than the Genesis and (later) Sega CD ports. However Sega allowed fatalities (even though you needed to enter ABACABB at the Kodes of Honor screen) and they outsold the SNES version 3 to 1. I had it on Genesis and one of my best friends had it on SNES. If you get a chance you should look it up on RUclips. It really is surprising how much closer the SNES version looked.

This is a port of the other versions of Mortal kombat 11. The Mortal kombat mobile app you get on your phone is way different and does not play the same you have to swipe on the screen to attack and tap on the screen to attack also and block . On the mobile version you can only unlock extra content for the actual mortal kombat 11 game
The fighting controls seem hard since you have to use all buttons

Buy a hori joy con d-pad for your switch atleast thats what i use when i play fighting games.
There's no point really, sticks work fine, and so do the 4 buttons on the left joycon
So you can use the stick instead of the buttons : added dpad ? I was going to comment asking about this specific issue , since he complains so much .

They got rid of alot of random animations to be able to adhere to the hardware in comparison. But the gameplay is still just as good.
I just bought the game for a week now and I had to buy an sd card to be able to download the update but whenever the update finishes it says error. Pls help
The sd card is 512gb so its not the storage.

There’s a certain distance that u need to be able to do the fatality for ur next for scorpion it’s that u have to be far from ur opponent then do back,forward,back,forward,back,Y then it will do the fatality

Wait, if it is mandatory to download the game (16gb) after inserting the cart, does the cart make it kinda just like a key to enable gameplay (which also makes it kinda useless)? If yes, then maybe its way more better to just buy it at the eshop then?
3 years later I am seeing this comment. It's nonsense having a cartridge if 90% of the game has to be downloaded. I like physical cartridges or discs.

I taped a coin to the d-pad buttons, from the underneath, and it works flawlessly as my thumb is able to glide on the surface of the coin smoothly. You can try that too.

You should have played tutorial first then you needed to skip to the fights as well as you had to play the fatality tutorial. So, first go to tutorial know controls then play the game and enjoy

There is absolutely nothing on that physical game card but an executable to start the download. Might as well just buy the download. If the download becomes unavailablein the future that physical card will also become unusable.
