We bought this from you and are having great success with heavy duty pallets made of 4x4s, 2x4s and 2x6s. It works on the lighter weight pallets too. Great price. Very happy with being able to break down pallets on site and bring more home. Thank you!
Great product. Tried it out today on heavy duty pallets we found with 4x4s, 2x4s and 2x6s. Worked as promised. We disassembled them on site and we were able to bring back more than twice as much as we have in the past. Thanks!
Excellent build, Excellent Tutorial with detailed dimensions and most important patience and having your viewers in mind when making this video. Hope to see more of your build
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching.
Brilliant tutorial. Thanks so much for your patience and especially giving us a detailed drawing with measurements which other youtubers dont give.
I am going to make one today.
Not only is this the best Design BUT you also showed how to make it in a EXCELLENT Video!
If only more You Tubers would take the kind of care when they make their videos!!!

Just in awe. must have/buy/make very soon... Thank you. I've never seen this pry design before.
Amazing product: I’d easily buy one! Time to get some metal working skills to the test👨🏭
very nice, tidy work design. Ive never thought about using a specific tool to take apart pallets but this makes it look so much easier and simple to make also. I will definitely make one of these
Thanks! This tool definitely cut the time it takes to dismantle a pallet in half!
Its an excellent tool. Saves effort and time.
I just built one and it works great!! Beats the heck out of crowbars and hammers!! Thanks!!
The best I've seen by far. Got to weld me up one of these. Thanks for this.

+Ron Star Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm glad you enjoyed the build!
Great tool, much better than wooden one. Very handy can also be used for removing floor plywood or drywall braking off the wooden studs.
I use pretty much the same diy tool for disassembling European style pallets, it makes it so easy! I also recently posted my first video on how to do it with some basic tools. Your video was super helpful too!
Your instructions are easy to follow, nice design & build. Good Video thanks!
Thank you for this most informative video. Now I can build one too.
+Ken Karnes I'm glad you found the video helpful! Enjoy!

That is best way to do and you did really amazing ideas of your own projects for woodwork and you keep it up with amazing project and thanks for sharing videos ya legend's
Thank you very much!
Hi JD, I built your pallet buster to your specs. One pallet actually bent the 3/8" plate. I took 5/16 plate, cut two 1/2" strips, then heated the forks to get them as straight as possible. I then welded the 5/16 plate perpendicular to the bottom of the forks. PROBLEM solved. This thing is now a beast!! I think the only pallets this thing won't disassemble are the blue "CHEP" pallets as they are bullet proof!!!!
Im glad to hear you fixed the problem! Its great hearing from people building the tools and changing them in the way it works best for them! i definitely have to agree with you on the blue pallets, they are usually oak which is the wood i try to go for but they sure don't like to come apart.
Yes, the blue GKN CHEP ones are in a league of their own. Companies usually have to employ a "Pallet Recovery Team" in order not to face a massive bill from GKN for "lost" pallets which they rented to the company.
But yeah, this tool looks the bees-knees for practicality on the rest.
Making one tomorrow! Cheers.
Very good idea ... ideal tool for dis job.👏👏
Very cool im going to build one tomorrow thanks for the ideas
Justo lo que me hacía falta!, gracias!!
Good explanation
Congratulations my friend!!! Amazing job. I will try to copy your idea!!!! Thanks for all!!!
Thank you, Im glad you enjoyed the video and project! Happy building!
Right On I was just watching the European pulling pallets apart I wrote United State pallets are made not to come apart there is a way and you just remastered it keep up the useful great Video's
Thanks i appreciate it! I put alot of time in making sure i give all the details, yet pack it into a watchable video! im glad to hear you guys are finding it informational! because that's why i love making these videos.
That is awesome buddy
I actually built ne of these at work the other day and welded it myself..... works perfect. ty for posting this and the dimensions
Im glad the video helped you build your own!
Great job!
Hey JD, Great job. I'm in the middle of constructing your design right now.I'm thinking of beveling the end of one of the lifter forks, cutting a "V" in it and use it to pull nails from the runners or slats. You are a talented young man. Keep up the videos
That would be a great addition, 1 less tool you'll have to use!
Thanks for watching! happy building.
I really enjoyed your tutorial.
dude, you rock... great instructional... like your style
Thanks! i appreciate the complement
Great tool! You should have patented it and made a decent profit from your idea, and work. No doubt the Chinese will already be making these to sell. Very, very impressed with you sharing this. Good luck to you.
Looks great
Nicely done
Congratulations man... it's so great idea... 👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
I love you bro. You saved my life!!!!
Glad the video helped you out!!
👍 nice tool you've built.it seems that working with this tool is much more easier as with a crow bar
That is a great idea bro
I made a similar one a few weeks ago. The claws on mine bent, so I doubled the thickness and no more bending. Some boards are extremely hard to get off if it's thick, strong wood with the twisty nails.
Nice work! It's a bit similar to the "DuckBill Deck Wrecker", but certainly more purpose built for pallets...
Awesome idea and video.
Thanks!
Yeah.....a friend made me one. Works great.
Oct. 15, 2019---Thanks for a very useful tool and how to video. Hopefully you patented this? No doubt built ones could be sold thru Harbor Freight, Home Depot, etc. Not only them, but there's a couple of companies in Reno alone that tear apart and rebuild pallets for resale and probably using crow bars and hammers.
gracias. excelente idea. siempre batallo con desarmar las pallet pero ahora sera mas fácil
Thank you very very much. Awesome idea
Thx 4 sharing. Cheets from Poland
Very Good. The Best Instruction
Thank you!
Nice work thank you for share with us!
Thanks! Im glad you enjoyed!
It’s a very good idéa 👍🏼
real good job!
Thank you!
dude looks good. Thanks for the tutorial
Thanks! im glad you enjoyed the video!
I like your design, but you must have some pretty lightweight pallets with short nails over there. I have just made two of these from your design, and tried out one of them yesterday. After breaking up three pallets, the "tynes" or fingers were both bent, to the point that they started lifting boards from the edge only, resulting in splitting of the timber. I have just modified one of them by adding a tapered length of "C" section steel under each of the tynes - this should stiffen them up significantly and does not have any adverse impact on the ability to slide the tool in between boards on the pallet.
Thanks for posting your design and giving the detail and measurements. It made it easy for me to knock up a couple. I have welded a "claw" from an old demolition bar in between the tynes in the centre of the tool so that it can also be used for pulling nails (similar to that on the Crescent Bull Bar) - this also works well. For handles - I grabbed a couple of fibreglass / plastic mattock handles from the hardware and shaped the top to suit the square tubing that I used instead of the round tubing that you have used. They are cheap and light and look good with the tool painted the same blue that you have used.
Great video! thanks!
Great video bro
Thanks friend, Genial!!!
Thank you for sharing and making a great build video I'm going to do this and save my back bending over, top marks 👍
Glad it helped
Ohhhh congratulation. Is very nice. Good tool
Thank you very much!
Smart tool you make there good job may friend
vraiment formidable comme idée donc je te donne 10 sur 10 franchement continue comme ça .
Thanks very good idea
Your welcome! Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome tool thanks for sharing the video
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Dammit!! Why couldn’t I think of that!! Genius!
That was legit! 😎
Excellent vid. Thank You for sharing your dimensions. I'm going to weld one of these but I think I can do it out of simple bed frame angle iron instead of 3/8" solid steel. I also like your choice of, using flux core wire. All you need is .030" or .035" wire.
Thanks! You can use any material you'd like! the angle would work great, i just had this material on had. I weld with flux core because i don't have gas and its also a lot cheaper to weld with flux core, I'm using .035".
Espectacular,muy buena idea
Thank you for your excellent idea
And clear video
Glad you enjoyed!
Ditto. Cheers.
I just built one of these with scrap metal I had laying around. A buddy of mine just gave me 300 pallets. I'm going to make hardwood flooring.
That sounds like a fun project! you will save alot of time and effort with the pry bar! Good luck on the flooring!!
Most pallets are made from softwood , flooring is hardwood ,
Very clever . Going to make one . Thanks for the info. Johns
+john d Maxted I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful!
