The first was eating too much candy rots ur insides, the second one was being addicted to technology can cause you to listen to it, and the 3rd was that going out in the woods on the teddy bear's picnic day results in you being food. Weird story concepts i must say.
Where do you get enough candy to get someone to explode? The amount of candy the kid had could have all been consumed without much problem. A more realistic horror idea that they could have done instead of force feeding him until he exploded, they could have made it so that after being force fed, he vomits into the pipe which then forces the vomit back into his mouse. If the kid where to die, he would die from drowning by the vomit. (I don't mean to sound too aggressive if that's what this sounds like)
Helix was a perfect example of why you don't negotiate with terrorists. Because if you don't do what they say, their entire plan falls through, so there's no point doing what they threatened. Example: The monster was never going to do anything to the guy's girlfriend. Ask yourself this: If it could hurt or kill her, why did it need him to do a ritual to be summoned? Conclusion: This thing needs a ritual to summon it, and the video camera was an empty threat, like all terrorists.

That's not how the human body WORKS!!!! That kid would just either suffocate or best case scenario, the candy clogs the stupid pipe and he just awkwardly sits there!
