Worked for a MAJOR dealer for 25+ years, not IH. About four year ago we took a number of IH trades with average of 1.4 million miles on each. While they did have all the issues you'd expect with that many miles, the cabs were almost tighter than new ones, very few rattles and squeaks. That's the result of having more metal than plastic, held together with screws rather than glue and velcro.
Good afternoon, Sir. Greetings from South America, Brazil. My name is Mr. Pasqualino, 61 years old, I was a truck driver. Nice truck and I like American Trucks. Thanks for the video.
Dam doggie I remember the day my dad pulled into the driveway with the same truck same color.keeping it clean for him bought me my first car mustang 2 with a v6. Wow I’m smiling right now
Came across your channel and that Eagle you have caught my eye, have to say she seems to run pretty good. Will be following you I'm eager to see what you do with it.
I worked on a bunch of those farmstars 4200 & 4300s back in the 80s almost every one i ever seen had busted motor mounts & the floor was busted under the seat ,the heater duct going to the defroster was blowing hot air outside the windshields would always be frosted up in the winter they were pretty cold inside in the winter time, IH rear end housings would always crack around the banjo, i made a pile of money back in the day working on those old rattle traps🤣
One way to figure out exactly where noise is coming from (in the cabin) is to park the truck in a quiet place and have someone put their phone with a neutral sound tone in various places around the cab with you inside, listening. Shouldn't be too loud, because it would overload the cab regardless in that case, but just enough to be noticeable. And you'll hear where gaps are. Gaskets not lining up or not fluffed enough to touch, gaps in the windows, panels etc.
First semi I drove was a international transtar 5300 350 cummins 13 over it was wore out when we got it, finally blew up over in Maine but the truck chasiswas still good to go.

Company I worked for in seventies had two. 4200 or 4300 not sure which. There was a company back in the seventies from Mercer pa. Tajon hauled coal buckets had a bunch of these. Nice looking truck you got there.
I live in Indiana. That fella owns a trucking company and has a little museum on site, but he wasn't around to let me in. I believe his brother is a high ranking member of the ATHS
Nice that truck has been back there on Dixie drive in Woodstock ga for a good while I live in the neighborhood right next to it glad you saved it I thought about asking them about but figured it wasn’t for sale
@jameswhite2198 they are in western Ohio. The guy has a museum and I'm guessing those are all waiting for restoration but I don't really know. I didn't even get to meet the man. I was told his brother is a high ranking member of the American Truck Historical Society
Love the old Eagles. Drove my first one in '79 but it was a cabover. It was brand new and beautiful. Lots of pin striping and chrome.

Why dontyou put a broom handle and a couple gunny sacks to cover your back tires?
